Ch. 1232God-Slaying

Mo Hua entered the Shigu Tribe’s Miasma Fog alone, using his Shaman persona to convince the tribes and their warriors that he would defeat the Evil God. In the nightmare at the tribe’s deepest hall, he destroyed the fallen Barbarian God, while Bone Slaughter began reacting to the battle outside.

  • Mo Hua explained that an Evil God had controlled General Bone-Slayer and ordered the Shugu Main Tribe to bind his corpse, but the Evil Thought soon began to regrow.
  • Mo Hua declared that the Evil God’s true body remained within the Shigu Tribe and announced that he would enter the Miasma Fog alone to slay it.
  • Mo Hua prayed publicly, formed a road of Sacred Patterns through the fog, and walked into the Shigu Tribe’s ruins as the gathered warriors prayed for his safety.
  • Mo Hua privately dropped his solemn act and advanced through the ruins by constructing a Thick Earth Compound Absolute Array, concluding that the Shigu Tribe had likely fallen to the Evil God before the Famine Disaster arrived.
  • Mo Hua entered the deepest hall and found himself in the Evil God’s nightmare, where he fought the fallen Barbarian God with his Divine Thought techniques and swords.
  • Mo Hua shattered the Evil God’s body, restrained it with a Gold Lock Array, and annihilated it with the God-Slaying Sword as Bone Slaughter struggled against his chains outside.

Ch. 1233Corpse

Mo Hua killed the Shigu Evil God, returned from its nightmare, and led the Shugu Tribe survivors away from the contaminated valley. He chose to preserve Shigu’s corpse in a sealed coffin rather than burn it, then prepared to devour the Evil God’s remaining power.

  • Mo Hua found hidden Divine Dao Array traces beneath the Bone Slaughter Statue and realized someone had sealed the Shigu Barbarian God and driven Him toward corruption.
  • Mo Hua emerged from the Miasma Fog after killing the Evil God, and the gathered cultivators hailed him as their Shaman.
  • Mo Hua sealed the Shigu Tribe valley, arranged for its resurrected clansmen to be cremated, and persuaded Lugu that Shigu’s corpse could be carried away instead of buried or burned.
  • Mo Hua had a wooden coffin made for Shigu’s body, sealed it with Array Techniques, and led the survivors away from the valley.
  • After two days of travel, Mo Hua secluded himself and prepared to devour the Evil God’s remaining power to strengthen his Divine Consciousness.

Ch. 1234A Strange Setup

Mo Hua purged the Shigu Evil God's will and absorbed its Divine Thought, bringing his Divine Sense close to the Twenty-Four-Pattern realm. He suspected Martial Uncle was using the Great Wilderness to raise Dao Sin and break into Void Insight, then led his starving army toward an Oasis to seek supplies.

  • Mo Hua used the Dao Stele and scarlet Nirvana Extinction Tribulation Lightning to erase the Shigu Evil God's will, then absorbed its Divine Marrow and Thought Power.
  • Mo Hua's Divine Sense advanced to between the middle and late stages of Twenty-Three-Pattern, bringing Golden Core Formation closer but leaving him worried about the dangers of relying on devoured Thought Power.
  • Mo Hua studied the Shigu Tribe's God Lock Array patterns and wondered who had imprisoned its Barbarian God and what Martial Uncle intended to accomplish.
  • Mo Hua concluded that Martial Uncle might be preparing to raise Dao Sin across the Great Wilderness and prove his Dao by breaking into Void Insight, but he could find no way to flee or protect those he cared about.
  • As famine threatened his six thousand soldiers, Mo Hua used divination to lead them through the desert toward signs of people and found an Oasis.
  • Mo Hua left the army camped at a distance and entered the Oasis in disguise with Lugu, Danzhu, and Chi Feng to investigate.

Ch. 1235Gold-Devouring Den

Mo Hua and his companions entered a lavish Oasis camp to seek supplies for their starving soldiers, then investigated after the Young Master of the Gongtu Tribe and his concubine were abducted. They rescued the pair from a dungeon, where Lugu recognized the Golden Core captor as a former subordinate of his elder brother who should have died when the Shigu Tribe was exterminated.

  • Mo Hua's group entered the Oasis by presenting tribal credentials and paying an entrance fee, while refugees without status or wealth faced exile or enslavement.
  • At the most luxurious inn, Danzhu befriended the Young Master of the Gongtu Tribe, who described his tribe's ties to the Great Wilderness Royal Court and introduced his beautiful concubine.
  • Mo Hua sent the group to investigate the Oasis's stores, and they found supplies that could feed their six thousand soldiers but would be costly to acquire.
  • Mo Hua and Danzhu discovered that men had abducted Young Master Gongtu and his concubine, tracked them to an underground prison, and found the concubine in danger.
  • Danzhu and Chi Feng subdued the Golden Core Barbarian Tribesman, Mo Hua freed the captives, and Lugu recognized another arriving Golden Core man as his elder brother's former subordinate from the supposedly exterminated Shigu Tribe.
  • The former subordinate panicked at seeing Lugu and fled.

Ch. 1236Jin Wutu

Mo Hua and Lugu captured Jin Wutu after driving him from his Oasis hideout, but Jin Wutu denied betraying Shigu and broke down when confronted with Shigu’s coffin. Lugu tortured him for answers, yet Jin Wutu remained silent and seemed indifferent to pain.

  • Jin Wutu escaped Lugu by shedding his skin and fleeing through a hidden passage, while Mo Hua led the others out of the Oasis and escaped with Lugu’s help.
  • Lugu identified the brocade-clad fugitive as Jin Wutu, a trusted subordinate of his dead elder brother Shigu, and Mo Hua devised a plan to flush him out without destroying the suspicious Oasis.
  • Lugu attacked the Oasis with a small force and shouted for Jin Wutu, while Mo Hua used Jin Wutu’s hair and a divination to locate a hidden exit at Capital Mountain.
  • Mo Hua, Red Blade, and the Yuangu Heavy Armored Soldiers captured Jin Wutu as he emerged from the passage, and Lugu withdrew his troops and brought the captive back to camp.
  • Jin Wutu claimed he had not betrayed Shigu, but his shock at seeing Shigu’s coffin unsettled Lugu, who began torturing him when he refused to confess.

Ch. 1237Spirit Pivot Carved into Bone

Mo Hua abandoned his plan to use Dao Heart Planting Demon on Jin Wutu after realizing it could alert his Martial Uncle, then sought another way to handle the interrogation and the dangers posed by General Bone-Slayer's corpse. After five days of carving a Small Spirit Pivot Array into the corpse, Mo Hua activated it and made General Bone-Slayer rise under his control.

  • Mo Hua stopped Lugu from killing Jin Wutu and ordered the battered prisoner taken to the prison for treatment.
  • Mo Hua reconsidered using Dao Heart Planting Demon on Jin Wutu, withdrew from the prison, and heard Jin Wutu mutter that someone was already dead.
  • Mo Hua sealed off the tent, had Chi Feng cut open General Bone-Slayer's corpse, and began carving the Small Spirit Pivot Array into its bones.
  • Mo Hua spent five days practicing bone carving and completing a preliminary Small Spirit Pivot Array inside General Bone-Slayer's body.
  • Mo Hua restored the corpse's flesh, supplied it with Spirit Stones, activated the array, and commanded General Bone-Slayer to rise.

Ch. 1238Corpse Control

Mo Hua used Bone Slaughter’s corpse to frighten Jin Wutu into revealing that the Shugu Tribe’s Great Chieftain had ordered him to trap Bone Slaughter, then helped capture Oasis. While searching the captured stronghold, Mo Hua found a huge stockpile of Inedia Pills that seemed to have come from the Dao Court.

  • Mo Hua controlled Bone Slaughter’s corpse to interrogate Jin Wutu, who confessed that the Shugu Tribe’s Great Chieftain had ordered him to harm Bone Slaughter.
  • Lugu confronted Mo Hua about Bone Slaughter’s corpse, but Mo Hua returned the corpse to its coffin and kept Jin Wutu detained.
  • Lugu, Danzhu, Chi Feng, and their soldiers attacked and captured Oasis after a day of fighting.
  • Mo Hua led Bashan and Bachuan in searching Oasis, where he found Bifang Tribe Totems and evidence that the oasis had exploited and enslaved its visitors.
  • Mo Hua discovered storehouses full of standardized Inedia Pills and suspected they had come from the Dao Court.

Ch. 1239War Profits

Mo Hua traced the blank Inedia Pill bottles to a Hua Family production line and suspected the family was preparing to profit from famine in the Great Wilderness. By reconstructing a map hidden in Oasis, he discovered the Hua Family had foreseen the famine’s spread and stockpiled pills to exploit it.

  • Mo Hua ordered the captured Inedia Pills rationed to the barbarian soldiers, then gathered Danzhu and the others to discuss their next move.
  • Mo Hua inferred that the blank bottles had come from a modified artifact-refining production line and found defective bottles bearing faint patterns that he traced to the Hua Family.
  • Mo Hua recognized the Hua character among the reconstructed patterns and concluded that the Hua Family had deliberately produced inferior Inedia Pills for sale during famine.
  • Mo Hua ordered Elder Bachuan to search Oasis again and found a pulverized wall in a Secret Chamber that had been destroyed by Golden Core power.
  • Mo Hua used divination to restore the wall’s map and discovered it showed the famine’s spread through the Three Thousand Wilderness, revealing that the Hua Family had foreseen the disaster and planned to profit from it.

Ch. 1240Entering the Game

After discovering the Hua Family’s famine map, Mo Hua understood that Martial Uncle’s famine was driving survivors into a central Safe Zone to fuel his Dao, while the Hua Family profited from the disaster. Mo Hua led six thousand barbarian soldiers into the basin, knowing it was a trap, and resolved to enter the game himself.

  • Mo Hua realized Martial Uncle intended to herd the Great Wilderness’s survivors into a Safe Zone, where mass deaths would generate resentment and Dao Sin, while the Hua Family exploited the famine for wealth.
  • Mo Hua hid the Famine Map, told Danzhu and the others that the God Lord had shown him their path, and led six thousand soldiers toward the wilderness’s heartland.
  • Elder You warned the Great Elder of the Bifang Tribe to protect their dwindling Inedia Pills and prepare to move their supplies before the famine closed in.
  • Elder You felt an unexplained sense that a creditor awaited him, while Mo Hua also sensed someone familiar in the desert who owed him something.
  • After more than half a month of perilous travel without casualties, Mo Hua led the soldiers to a vast basin of surviving tribes and recognized it as Martial Uncle’s deliberately prepared gathering place.
  • Mo Hua acknowledged that the Dao Court, great clans, Demon Sect, and Martial Uncle were playing their own games, then led his people into the Endgame Land.

Ch. 1241Slaughter Them All

Mo Hua investigated the Great Wilderness and offered Abu a chance to leave the Acha Tribe, but Abu stayed to care for his family. After finding Abu and the tribe slaughtered, Mo Hua summoned his army and ordered the attackers killed.

  • Mo Hua questioned Abu about the Black Tortoise Mountain Realm and gave him rudimentary Wilderness cultivation techniques.
  • Mo Hua invited Abu to travel with him, but Abu refused because he needed to care for his grandfather and younger sister.
  • Mo Hua stopped a Barbarian General after sensing blood and familiar Karma, then had Danzhu and Bachuan subdue him and his soldiers.
  • Mo Hua and Danzhu returned to the Acha Tribe and found Abu and the tribespeople dead, with Abu still clutching the cultivation techniques.
  • The Barbarian General summoned more than two hundred soldiers, but Mo Hua's force of more than eight hundred arrived and surrounded them.
  • Mo Hua ordered his soldiers to slaughter the attackers and told the Barbarian General that the strong could not invoke that rule only when killing the weak.

Ch. 1242Proving the Dao

Mo Hua defeated the Wujiu Tribe’s force, then led an expanding army to subdue tribes across the Great Wilderness in the name of the God Lord. He resolved to gather the people and power needed to challenge the forces shaping the realm and seek a way to save its inhabitants.

  • Mo Hua’s forces killed Hongjiu and the Wujiu Tribe’s reinforcements, then buried Abu and the other Acha tribesmen who had died.
  • A scout told the black-cloaked Wujiu Young Master that Hongjiu and more than two hundred warriors had been killed by heavily armored troops, but the Young Master continued his campaign to conquer the Vermilion Bird Realm.
  • Mo Hua set out with Danzhu, Lugu, and more than six thousand soldiers, and he brought the Fushan Tribe under the God Lord’s command.
  • Mo Hua subdued or annexed five or six minor tribes in seven days, expanding his army to nearly ten thousand and killing Chieftains who refused to submit.
  • Mo Hua decided that he had to gather the Great Wilderness’s people as pieces in the larger struggle and use what he had learned to seek survival for its living beings.

Ch. 1243Planting a Demon?

Mo Hua annexed tribes and sought a way to bring the Zhuiyun Tribe under his control without relying on his Martial Uncle’s Dao Heart Planting Demon. He installed the abused third son, Chiju, as Chieftain by drawing out his desire to protect the tribe, leaving the Zhuiyun people raising horses for Mo Hua and Mo Hua with a new approach to influencing others.

  • Mo Hua expanded his forces to twenty-five thousand people, including eleven thousand soldiers, and began seeking territory and a stable rear base.
  • Mo Hua encountered the horse-raising Zhuiyun Tribe, whose Chieftain rejected his offer to submit, and decided against conquering them by force because he valued their horse-raising skills.
  • Mo Hua studied the Zhuiyun Tribe’s leaders and chose the abused third son, Chiju, after learning that Chiju secretly wanted to become Chieftain and protect the tribe.
  • Mo Hua arranged for the Zhuiyun Elder to announce the Chieftain’s death and name Chiju as his successor, then persuaded Chiju to accept the responsibility.
  • The Zhuiyun Tribe submitted to Mo Hua and began raising horses for him, while Mo Hua realized he could influence people by drawing out desires they already held rather than imposing his will through Dao Heart Planting Demon.

Ch. 1244Young Master Gongtu

Mo Hua confronted Danzhu with the painful choices his ideals might demand, then expanded his forces and searched for a base north of the Hengduan Mountains. Near a Minor Tribe, he discovered a blood-drawing man influenced by an Evil God's Thought Power and asked who had taught him to draw formations.

  • Mo Hua asked Danzhu whether he would pursue his vision for the Danque Tribe even if it meant opposing his father and brothers, and promised not to kill his father.
  • Mo Hua absorbed several tribes, then learned Young Master Gongtu had killed his beautiful concubine and fled; later, Mo Hua found Gongtu dead, buried him, and avenged him by killing the Wandering Tribe murderers.
  • Mo Hua's forces grew to forty thousand, and he led them north to seek a secure base beyond the Hengduan Mountains.
  • Mo Hua sensed blood and Evil Thought near a Minor Tribe, donned an Invisibility Robe, and investigated with Lugu and Chi Feng.
  • Mo Hua found a black-robed man drawing bloody formations before a crude idol under the influence of an Evil God's Thought Power, and asked who had taught him to draw formations that way.

Ch. 1245Elder She

Mo Hua and Chi Feng captured Elder She while stopping his attempt to corrupt a Minor Tribe’s Barbarian God. As Mo Hua questioned the defeated Bifang elder about the Wujiu Tribe and the Divine Dao Array, he realized that the mysterious senior who had taught Elder She sounded like Mr. Tu, who might still be alive.

  • Mo Hua ordered Chi Feng and Lugu to capture Elder She, then had them dismantle the sacrificial rites and erase the half-drawn Divine Dao Array.
  • Chi Feng identified the captive as Elder She, a Golden Core elder of the Bifang Tribe, and Mo Hua questioned him after waking him.
  • Elder She revealed that the Wujiu Tribe had defeated the Bifang Tribe and that its Young Master had beaten Bi Jie despite being at the same cultivation stage.
  • Mo Hua confronted Elder She about the Divine Dao Array, and Elder She said a mysterious senior had taught him to borrow power from Heaven and draw sacred patterns.
  • Elder She described the senior as a tall, thin, robed figure, and Mo Hua recognized the description as Mr. Tu and realized he might still be alive.

Ch. 1246Mr. Tu?

Mo Hua suspected that Mr. Tu had survived the Tribulation Lightning and was now serving Martial Uncle in schemes involving evil gods and the Shugu Tribe. He stopped Lugu from killing Elder She and offered to help him storm the Shugu Tribe’s main branch and avenge his brother.

  • Mo Hua reasoned that Mr. Tu might have survived by possessing multiple lives and suspected Martial Uncle had arranged his work in the Great Wilderness.
  • Mo Hua questioned Elder She about Mr. Tu, learned he had taught him secret arts for borrowing power from the God Lord, and concluded Mr. Tu had targeted the Shugu Tribe for a hidden purpose.
  • Mo Hua ordered Chi Feng to cripple and detain Elder She for further interrogation.
  • Lugu prepared to kill Elder She because the Bifang Tribe had murdered his brother, but Mo Hua argued that the Great Chieftain of the Shugu Tribe had also enabled the murder.
  • Mo Hua offered to help Lugu attack the Shugu Tribe’s main branch and kill its Great Chieftain.

Ch. 1247Campaign Against the Shugu Tribe

Mo Hua made a deal with Lugu to help him avenge Bone Slaughter General by killing the Shugu Great Chieftain, while Lugu would serve the God Lord. As Mo Hua gathered defeated tribes and planned a route to the Shugu forces, Lugu's attempt to negotiate passage with Cangu failed and ended in a fight.

  • Mo Hua persuaded Lugu to join a transaction: Mo Hua would help kill the Shugu Great Chieftain, and Lugu would serve the God Lord.
  • Mo Hua spared Elder She, then crossed the Hengduan Mountain Range with Lugu and Chi Feng and found the Wujiu Tribe had devastated the Vermilion Bird Mountain Realm.
  • Mo Hua avoided the Wujiu Tribe and expanded his forces by absorbing scattered soldiers and displaced people while Lugu led the fighting.
  • After learning from Shugu remnant soldiers, Mo Hua calculated a route toward the Shugu forces and directed Lugu to advance along it.
  • Lugu and Mo Hua's army encountered Cangu's Shugu Main Tribe, and Lugu's negotiation with Cangu turned into a fierce battle despite Mo Hua's prepared talking points.
  • Lugu returned from the failed talks, and Mo Hua concluded that they would have to fight Cangu.

Ch. 1248Ghostly Path Branching

Mo Hua devised a way to use branching Ghostly Calculations on troop lines instead of individual soldiers, then planned a battle against Cangu that aimed to defeat the general while limiting casualties. As the battle began, the surrounding fronts held in a stalemate while Lugu and Cangu fought fiercely in a valley.

  • Mo Hua realized he could reduce the complexity of large-scale Ghostly Calculations by grouping similar troops into Causality Lines, though he worried that using Heavenly Ghost Calculation might alert Martial Uncle.
  • Mo Hua spent two days calculating the troop movements, then briefed Lugu, Danzhu, and the others on a defensive plan focused on defeating Cangu rather than destroying his army.
  • Mo Hua suspected Cangu had known about the plot against Bone Slaughter after Lugu said the general’s attitude changed when he mentioned his elder brother, and Mo Hua began forming a plan.
  • Three days later, the battle began, with the Danque Tribe luring Cangu’s Barbarian Slaves into a narrow valley while Lugu’s soldiers and Adagu’s Heavy Armored Soldiers engaged enemy troops without trying to kill them.
  • Lugu and Cangu fought brutally in a valley, their Golden Core power battering the terrain as the outcome of the battle hinged on their duel.

Ch. 1249All of Them Were Black

Lugu followed Mo Hua’s plan to lure Cangu into an ambush, wound him, and drive him from the battlefield, allowing Lugu to absorb much of Cangu’s forces. Mo Hua then laid out a scheme to overthrow the Great Chieftain and make Lugu his successor, leaving Lugu chilled by Mo Hua’s ruthlessness.

  • Lugu feigned defeat and lured Cangu to Falling Rock Mountain, where he and Mo Hua’s staged appearance of Bone Slaughter trapped Cangu and cost him an arm before he escaped.
  • Lugu stopped pursuing Cangu and persuaded most of the defeated soldiers to surrender, while Mo Hua offered the surrendered Barbarian Slaves a chance to become servants of the God Lord.
  • Mo Hua’s influence grew as Lugu’s forces absorbed much of Cangu’s tribe, but Lugu worried that his Shugu soldiers would refuse to attack their Great Chieftain.
  • Mo Hua advised Lugu to claim he was marching to punish Cangu and rescue the Great Chieftain, then kill the Great Chieftain and Cangu and take power.
  • Lugu considered Mo Hua’s proposed schemes and silently concluded that Mo Hua was a demon.

Ch. 1250Shugu Great Chieftain

Mo Hua’s schemes helped Lugu rally the Shugu soldiers against Cangu and the Great Chieftain, and Lugu defeated the aging ruler without killing him. After the Great Chieftain fled toward the White Bone Mausoleum, Mo Hua agreed to accompany Lugu there.

  • Lugu accused Cangu of murdering Bone Slaughter and led his army to confront the Great Chieftain, with Mo Hua guiding events from behind.
  • Lugu framed the campaign as a purge of traitors, causing many of the Great Chieftain’s soldiers to stand aside as his forces attacked.
  • Cangu fought Lugu, lost his bone prosthetic arm, and fled as Lugu pursued him.
  • Lugu defeated the Great Chieftain but deliberately let him escape, then settled the battlefield.
  • Lugu guessed that the Great Chieftain had fled to the White Bone Mausoleum, and Mo Hua agreed to go there with him.

Ch. 1251White Bone Mausoleum Killing Trap

Lugu lured Mo Hua and his allies into a trap at the White Bone Mausoleum, intending to have the Shugu ancestors curse Mo Hua to death. As the ancient ancestor emerged from its coffin, Mo Hua was swallowed by bone claws and purple mist, leaving his fate uncertain.

  • Lugu killed the Shugu Great Chieftain and carried his heart to the ancestral Bone Tomb to offer it to the ancestors.
  • Tie Shugu performed a sacrificial dance, offered his life, and began awakening the Shugu ancestors.
  • Lugu ambushed Mo Hua, wounded Chi Feng, and used his allies and soldiers to keep Danzhu and the others from intervening.
  • Lugu revealed that he planned to use the ancestors' curse to erase Mo Hua, whom he blamed for keeping his elder brother from resting in peace.
  • Bone claws trapped Mo Hua as the altar filled with purple mist, and a decayed ancestor crawled from an ancient coffin to see who had summoned it.
