"What did you say? What was Roman angry about?"

Before Brando had finished speaking, a booming sound of something breaking suddenly rang out in the void.

It was a crisp, thunderous crack, as if the entire world had been severed at the waist. Brando stared in horror as a crack snaked across the World Crystal Wall, which stretched hundreds of kilometers in every direction. It spread along the solid crystal surface. At first, there was only one main fissure, but as it widened from top to bottom, it gradually split into a web.

A second crack rang out. A dim shock wave spread from the World Crystal Wall and swept toward Brando. A vast sheet of crystal fragments tore free from the wall and, carried by the shock wave, spun rapidly toward the Tiamat Law network.

They were called fragments, but once they drew near, each was the size of a small mountain. The first shock wave spreading from the World Crystal Wall swept over at hundreds of kilometers per second. It was like a furious will, moving so fast that from any single direction, it resembled a black whip stretched taut. The mountain-sized fragments came hurtling forward, driven by the tip of that whirling whip. The sheer force of it was self-evident, and Brando's face paled at the sight.

"Brando, get out of the way!" Bai reminded him in a shrill voice. Though she looked increasingly misanthropic, she had not yet grown so weary of the world that she sought her own destruction.

Besides, even if she had to die, she was unwilling to be buried alongside the man who had caused her no small amount of trouble. His relationship with Medisa especially rankled her. In fact, Brando's guess on that point had not been far off at all.
