The mist-shrouded canyon appeared before the Broken Sword Knight Order like a fissure cleaved by a bolt of lightning. The crack split the entire glacier apart, making mortals seem incredibly tiny beneath this masterpiece of nature. As Freya raised her head to look at the glacier's shattered cross-section, she felt as though she were no more than dust beneath a giant's feet.
The narrow fissure stretched for several miles. Between the crisscrossing, slanted ice surfaces, it formed a winding, twisting path. Layer upon layer of ice covered the cliffs on both sides, while ice pillars and ice spikes made the entire canyon look as intricate and labyrinthine as a maze.
"This is truly magnificent!" Blund murmured to himself. Behind him, the young knights from Cruz also gazed at the scene in awe.
"What about that deer...?" Faced with such scenery, Aleya had to admit that there might indeed have been some reason they had followed that stag all this time. Even so, that did nothing to change his stubborn refusal to admit it.
"It went inside," the mountain knight Rollo replied firmly.
