Arc 1The Corpse Burner’s Trials

Qin He grew stronger by burning corpses while surviving mutated dead, corrupt officials, and the Refugee Camp massacre. After killing the Punishment Slave Luo Jiu, he watched the man’s life unfold in a Shadow Play.

  • Qin He became Corpse Burner Number Seven, gained strength from an Abyssal Fruit, and began earning skills and rewards through the Shadow Plays of the dead.

Arc 2The Corpse Burning Hall

Qin He survived the Corpse Burning Hall’s dangerous work, gained powerful techniques from vicious corpses, and killed Di spies sent to attack the East City facility. After court officials settled their dispute, Yang Baitu hired Qin He to burn a relative’s vicious corpse before dark.

  • Qin He burned An Baogu after killing him and discovered through the Shadow Play that he had been a brutal Di commander, then destroyed a black snake formed from Deathly Aura at the Corpse Burning Facility.
  • After the court executed seven alleged Di spies, Qin He joined five other Corpse Burners at the Imperial Prison and discovered that their headless bodies had been executed as substitutes for Di spies.
  • Qin He secretly burned twenty-eight vicious corpses in the Corpse Burning Hall, subdued a Hairy Zombie and a Charm Corpse, and earned extensive inner energy, Dao Xing, and new techniques.
  • The Corpse Burning Officials found the hall’s coffins open and its corpses burned, while Qin He kept his actions hidden and later returned to the East City Corpse Burning Facility with a Gold Coin Token and reward silver.

After killing the spies and gaining new techniques, he confronted Ao Jiao, the Great King Turtle, who fled and left Big Turtle behind.

  • Qin He burned Old Master Liang’s corpse and learned through the Shadow Play Performance that his suicide followed rumors about venereal disease and that an evil force threatened his family.
  • Qin He traveled to plague-stricken Fang County, where he burned corpses, gained strength, and discovered that the Bat King and Cao Heizhi had spread the epidemic while exploiting worshippers.
  • Qin He killed the Bat King, took over Xianyun Temple’s shrine as the Great Immortal Green Ox, and secretly used pills in the well to cure worshippers and gather merit.

After promising to save the Liang Family in exchange for a temple, he exposed the estate’s illusion and captured the hidden yellow weasel, which began explaining its old grudge with Liang Shijie.
