Hearing the good news Momo brought, Yu Sheng hurried to Black Stone Station with his whole group in tow. Huli had originally been sleeping groggily, but the moment she heard Yu Sheng getting up, she followed along as well. She still had no idea what was going on until she saw Luo, though—she hadn't even fully woken up yet...

The spacious room was crammed with all kinds of dazzling equipment. Cables and material-transfer tracks crisscrossed the ceiling in seemingly chaotic yet orderly patterns. Luo sat beside a curved platform in the very center of the room, surrounded by rapidly refreshing holographic projections and conventional displays of all sizes. When Yu Sheng opened the door, she was still clacking away at something, while several mechanical limbs behind her were connected to the nearby equipment like tentacles.

From the front, the scene looked like a beautiful scientist sitting amid a pile of screens in a story mission, prattling on to the player about the background lore. From the back, it looked like a mad villainous doctor plotting world destruction in an underground base. (Of course, considering this lady's academic qualifications, she could also be a mad postdoctoral researcher.) The side view was impossible to see—the screens were in the way.

The moment Yu Sheng appeared, Luo happily stood up. "Boss, you're here!"

"Actually, I've been meaning to ask this for ages." Yu Sheng waved at her, then looked up at the pile of screens beside her. "Every time I watch a movie, TV show, or game, it's the same. Why do all you researchers have to put so many flashy displays around you? Can you even keep up with them?"
