The group prepared for another Shadow World challenge and a future trip to the Krui Di Empire while Lanchi’s card-maker certification opened a new assignment in the Bosen Kingdom.

• Lanchi took Hughberlian and Talia to South Wantina, where they captured Ilene and learned that the Destruction Branch planned to kill Hughberlian.
• The barrier collapsed, Loren fought Somerset Marquis, and Salomon fled from Lanchi before dying by his own magic after mistaking Loren for the mastermind.
• Lanchi rescued Ilene and sent the freed Destruction High Priests north with a letter for Sigrid, while Ice Witch set out to investigate the turmoil.
• Hughberlian and Talia recovered at the Wilford Merchant Guild, and Talia told Lanchi she was a Great Demon while he assured her their friendship would not change.
• Lanchi brought Antanas, Sinora, and Planai back to Cat Boss Restaurant, where Talia confronted him about her identity and their feelings before Antanas helped ease the awkwardness.

Lanchi and Hughberlian entered a Tier 7 Shadow World to improve Loren’s position, finding themselves separated in a looming war between humans, demons, and vampires. While Hughberlian faced pressure to choose a fiancée, Lanchi traveled toward the Demon Realm, restored an orc statue, and secured the Bear Orcs’ support.

• Lanchi secured special approval to enter the Tier 7 Shadow World with Hughberlian and Cat Boss, hoping to divert criticism from Loren and Asina.
• Lanchi and Hughberlian entered the Blood Moon Ruined World, where Lanchi became prime minister of the Plant Empire and Hughberlian awoke in the Demon Realm as its sole royal heir.
• Hughberlian learned that the demons needed her to choose a fiancée, and she arranged a contest in which the Great Demon Races would submit paintings.
• Lanchi rejected peace negotiations with the Honing Empire, gained Empress Kexiya’s support, and planned to seek allies while traveling to find Hughberlian.
• Lanchi set out for the Demon Realm with Cat Boss and guide Sigrid, intending to warn the orc city-states about the threatened invasion and restore their statues.
• At Small Stone City, Lanchi restored the Temple of Rock’s statue, impressing the Bear Orcs and earning Great Lord Algom’s promise of support.

Lanchi protected Sigrid from Earl Gregory and entered the Demon Realm, where he became involved in Princess Hughberlian’s coming painting selection ceremony. As Hughberlian awaited rescue and the ceremony approached, Lanchi prepared to compete while Sigrid saw him off.

• Lanchi and Sigrid traveled toward the Demon Realm, but Earl Gregory ambushed them and revealed he had been hunting Sigrid.
• Lanchi repelled Gregory’s attack with the Roar of the Storm Dragon and Radiant Virtue, then helped Sigrid weaken him by draining his blood.
• Demon Realm troops surrounded them, but Lanchi revealed his power, claimed Gregory as his spoils, and secured the soldiers’ deference.
• Lanchi comforted Sigrid and arranged for Luka to escort them toward the Demon Realm while concealing his identity.
• Lisandra met her new neighbor, Luo Qi McCarthy, and discovered he was a helpful Radiant Demon who had invited her to his restaurant.
• Lanchi drove Lisandra to the palace, where Earl Sergio’s attempt to identify Gregory’s murderer made him mistake the nobles’ blood-stained clothing for evidence against them, and he was subdued.
• Hughberlian recognized that McCarthy had sent her a cake and said he would rescue her, while Lisandra imagined them marrying if he won.

Lanchi helped Hughberlian win the Demon Realm’s royal ceremony and later traveled with her to negotiate an alliance with the Porant Empire. As Porant’s war and Lanchi’s impeachment threatened to sink the mission, an emergency broadcast began showing his possible final speech.

• Hughberlian chose McCarthy’s painting and declared she would marry him, but Giovanni challenged McCarthy’s place among the Great Demon Race and Eduardo attacked the ceremony.
• Kali Yella’s illusion failed to stop Ulysses, but Lanchi broke free, fought him, and awakened the demons trapped in their dreams.
• Hughberlian woke at Lanchi’s villa, where they grew closer, while their livestream drew public attention and improved the Plant Empire’s odds.
• Lanchi and Kali Yella treated Eduardo by guiding him through a fabricated healing dream, then agreed to travel with Hughberlian to the Plant Empire.
• Hughberlian and Kali Yella began alliance negotiations at Chikel Manor, but Duke Moretti obstructed them until Lanchi exposed his efforts to keep Wilford uninformed and forced his resignation.
