Background

Origin

The Holy Goddess originated from a divine egg connected to the Golden Crow Emperor Venerable's dharma and Dao. When confronted by the predecessor's immortal dharma, she rejected its intended rebirth, declaring that its Dao was not hers; she chose a saintly path rather than the immortal path and prevented the Emperor Venerable's return 443.

The divine eggs that produced the Holy Goddess and the Dark God had been specially cultivated by True Lord Buyi. The Dark God later describes them as offspring of the Golden Crow Emperor Venerable rather than continuations of the deceased Demon Venerable, making the two deities spiritual siblings despite their opposed paths 428 445.

Sacred Kingdom and the Final Apostle

After the Sacred-Dark War and the spread of Fluorite Sickness, the Holy Goddess was left badly injured and confined to the Life Source Star Realm's inner layer. She sustained the remaining population through light-made spiritual veins, a task that continuously consumed her dwindling strength 394 397.

She awakened Du En in the Holy Mausoleum, introducing herself as the mother who had called him back from “the lost beyond.” Du En was nurtured from the mausoleum's nether soil and regarded as a returner and her Final Apostle 385 388.

Her apostles served as the Sacred Kingdom's practical leaders, while she remained a more distant object of reverence to ordinary citizens. Although often described as her creations, they were largely exceptional heroes who had emerged among the people; Du En was the unusual Final Apostle 397 427.

Second Sacred-Dark War

With Du En's help, the Holy Goddess sought to halt the Fluorite Sickness, recover three Exotic Items for Jiang Ying's treatment, and confront the Dark God. She supplied purifying radiance, healed Du En, empowered his techniques, and coordinated closely with him against the Dark God's forces 398 409 425.

During the final confrontation, she combined with Du En through the Sacred Bone Armor, raising his Golden Sun Flame to peak perfection and enabling their Divine Being Riding the Phoenix battle form 432 433. After Du En created an opening at great personal cost, she revealed her true form and struck the Dark Sun Mirror Crow with Solar Divine Fire 436.

Life Source Ascension

After overpowering the Dark God, the Holy Goddess disclosed that her true objective was to destroy and consume the Life Source binding the Star Realm. She believed that only by removing those realm shackles could she break through the darkness and obtain a genuine future for herself and the star's inhabitants 438.

Her eighty-eight Spirit Spring Villages were not merely shelters: their spiritual veins were extensions of her own divine blood. By using them to vent the Life Source's resistance, she restored herself, seized the Sea of Sickness, and ascended as an immense solar deity while consuming the Life Source and Spiritual Source 438.

Her actions enabled a re-gestation through the Holy Mausoleum. She later remains in an egg, where Du En can encounter her memories and receive her continued support 441 443 556.

The Holy Goddess usually manifests as a point of light or a floating Suspended Lamp, through which she speaks, illuminates paths, and channels her authority. Her weakened state prevents her from appearing personally for much of the Life Source Star Realm arc 385 394.

The Holy Goddess is deeply maternal toward those she considers her children. She worries over Du En's injuries, grieves for corrupted apostles, protects Sacred Kingdom survivors through the Spirit Spring Villages, and immediately treats Jiang Ying with protective affection after her awakening 393 395 397 416.

Her compassion coexists with an uncompromising certainty in her own path. Insults from the Time Wheel Flower Demon do not move her, and she is willing to make painful choices when the survival of the Sacred Kingdom is at stake 406 407. She condemns the Dark God for being close to mortals without guiding them, regarding such conduct as “without the Way” 419.

Despite presenting herself as a gentle protector, she rejects the idea that her authority is inherently meant to guide all beings.
