Background / History

Lu Jun was originally an eighteen-year-old high-school student from Earth. After entering a fortune-telling booth operated by a veiled woman with purple eyes, he was transported into a primeval wilderness in an ancient-world body. He was attacked by demons and the Misty Mirage, lost his memories, and later awoke in Huang Family Village believing himself to be Fourth Master Huang's grandson. 5 11

His recovered Earth memories and village memories left him suspicious of the villagers' demonic nature. He killed his childhood sweetheart Huang Ni'er after she transformed into a weasel demon, but hesitated to kill his grandfather without conclusive proof despite suspecting him of being a demon. 4 5

During the village's ritual, Lu Jun lifted the veil from the Huang Pi Dao Master statue. When the cursed villagers attempted to sacrifice him, he used wind manipulation and an ancient saber to destroy the statue, exposing and killing the Misty Mirage behind the curse. The kill granted him Kyōka Suigetsu, an illusion-based Spiritual Power. 10

After the incident, he concealed most of his abilities while demonstrating only wind control to Old Man Yun. He accepted Yun's recruitment into the Demon Slaying Division and chose to cultivate through the River Lord Subdues the Flood Dragon Visualization Diagram, whose central figure resembled Yang Jian. 13 14 16

His defining trait is an intense hatred of demons and monsters, rooted in Huang Family Village and reinforced by repeated encounters with human collaborators. He can be gentle and polite away from battle, but becomes ruthless when confronting demons or those he considers complicit with them.
