| Alias(es) | Demon Slaying Bureau; Demon Slayers; Demon Slayer Envoys |
| Affiliation | Dagan Empire / imperial court 15 97 |
| Occupation/Role | Imperial demon-hunting and Law Seeker oversight organization |
| Status | Active; the Yunzhou branch survives a major siege and continues operations 97 136 |
| First Appearance | Mentioned 1; first depicted 12 |
Authority and Purpose
- The Division is Dagan's principal force for combating demons and monsters, with its Envoys described as fighting on the front lines against demonic threats. 19 28
- It represents imperial oversight of Law Seekers throughout the land; local forces fear its authority and conceal any collusion with demons. 97
- Demon Slayer Envoys may investigate first and report later when any person, faction, or court official shows signs of involvement with demons or monsters; those who obstruct them may be killed without mercy. 15 27
- The Division's stated ideal is “ERADICATE ALL EVIL!!!”, an inscription originally left by Emperor Taizong of Dagan and reproduced in Division branches. 32
- Its authority is not always applied consistently: Lu Jun encounters corrupt Envoys who collude with demons, sacrifice civilians, and conceal demonic activity in Qingci Town. 40
Organization
Ranks and Entry
| Rank / Position | Requirements or function |

| Probationary Demon Slayer Envoy | Initial registered status before formal assessment and assignment. 26 |
| Sword Wielder | Awarded for killing one demon or monster during the assessment. 36 |
| Bronze Robe | Awarded for killing five or more demons or monsters during the assessment; Bronze Robes are considered the Division's elite field Envoys. 36 67 |
| Silver Robe | Backbone of the Division; Silver Robes command field assignments and smaller Envoy units. 67 72 |
| Golden Robe | High-ranking strategic assets, generally possessing Fourth Realm strength; multiple Golden Robes may jointly judge serious internal cases. 32 67 |
| Golden Holder | A Golden Robe acting with proxy authority through the Golden Holder Token. 94 95 |
| Commander | Provincial-level leadership position held by Yu Qinglian in the recorded period. 106 136 |
Recruitment and Assessment
- The Division primarily recruits Law Seekers, as demons' innate Spiritual Powers make ordinary martial warriors comparatively restricted in combat. 28
- It also accepts exceptional martial artists; the current prefect codenamed Xuanwu is noted to be a martial-arts master rather than a Law Seeker. 28
- Formal assessments can involve releasing imprisoned demons from the Demon Locking Tower. Killing one qualifies an applicant as a Sword Wielder, while five kills qualify them for Bronze Robe status. 36
- Assessment procedures are vulnerable to internal corruption: Golden Robe Mo Jinyi accepts bribes from candidates seeking advancement. 35
Regional Deployment
- The Division cannot establish a branch in every settlement due to limited Law Seeker personnel and Dagan's vast territory. Prefectural branches periodically dispatch Envoys as Patrol Envoys to counties, towns, and villages. 34
- The Yunzhou headquarters is located on Yun Mountain rather than in the city, allowing Law Seekers to cultivate and use Spiritual Power without disturbing residents. 26
- During large operations, the Division uses messenger beasts for long-range correspondence and Sound Transmission Mirrors for combat communication. 72 86
Facilities and Equipment
- Mission Hall — Issues demon-slaying assignments, including missions to identify and kill concealed demons such as Skin-Peeling Ghosts. 27
- Demon Locking Tower — Holds demons and monsters for study and, at times, assessment exercises. 36
- Demon Suppressing Tower — A massive, rune-inscribed tower at the Yunzhou headquarters that confines large numbers of demons and monsters. 97 99
- Ninefold Mountain and River Grand Formation — Defensive formation activated at the Yunzhou headquarters during the Puppet Corpse Dock assault. 97
- Sound Transmission Mirror — Magical communication artifact generally issued to Envoys above Silver Robe for battlefield coordination. 72
- Golden Holder Token — Token representing proxy Golden Robe authority; it can mark its holder with a tracking thread. 94 95

History
Recruitment of Lu Jun
After the death of Misty Mirage and the collapse of Huang Family Village's domain, Old Man Yun, Li Tuo, and Fang Yilin entered the village intending to rescue Lu Jun. Instead, they discovered that he had killed numerous demons alone. 12 13
Old Man Yun attempted to recruit Lu Jun after witnessing his control over wind. Lu Jun remained wary because the group had previously used him, but ultimately accepted after learning of the Division's demon-slaying missions, resources, and authority. 13 14 15
At Yun Mountain, Lu Jun registered as a probationary Envoy, received a waist token and uniform, and was assigned accommodation in Li Tuo's courtyard. 26
Qingci Town Investigation
Lu Jun and Li Tuo were sent to inspect Qingci Town following Lu Jun's rank assessment. They found the supposedly peaceful town saturated with demonic energy. 37 39
The investigation exposed Demon Slayer Envoys Jia Kuiren and Zhang San as collaborators with local demons. Jia Kuiren admitted that Qingci Town had maintained its apparent peace by offering civilians as sacrifices to demons under the protection of a Demon King. 40
Qinghe and Hidden Dragon Mountain Operation
The Division assembled a joint Yunzhou–Shuo Province force to confront Master Chen the Flood Dragon. The operation included one Golden Robe, ten Silver Robes, and nearly five hundred Bronze Robes. 67
Zhang Hengyi planned a decapitation strike into Evil Flood Dragon Ravine while other Envoys delayed Demon General forces in Fallen Eagle Valley. Lu Jun's reconnaissance regarding demon numbers and reinforcement routes proved crucial to the operation. 67 73
The force suffered severe casualties during the campaign, but Lu Jun's intervention eliminated large numbers of demons and ultimately saved Zhang Hengyi from Master Chen the Flood Dragon. 65 75 76
Yunzhou Headquarters Siege
Following the campaign, Puppet Corpse Dock and numerous Law Seeker factions allied with demons attacked the Yunzhou headquarters. The Division, already depleted and injured from previous battles and corpse poison, retreated to defend the Demon Suppressing Tower. 97
Mo Jinyi was revealed as a Mirror Demon infiltrator and opened the Demon Suppressing Tower, releasing countless imprisoned demons and monsters. 99
Lu Jun arrived to halt the immediate attack, then fought six Demon Kings amid the demonic invasion of Yun Mountain. Three Demon Kings were killed, while three escaped; Lu Jun was gravely injured after absorbing the Sea-Burning Crow's Demon Core. 99 103 104 106
Internal Problems
- Corruption — Some Envoys accept bribes, while others have directly collaborated with demons to preserve local order at the cost of human lives. 35 40
- Infiltration — Mo Jinyi maintained a Golden Robe identity while secretly being a Mirror Demon, enabling the Demon Suppressing Tower breach. 99
- Heavy attrition — Repeated battles against demons, allied evil factions, and corpse poison leave the Yunzhou branch severely weakened before the headquarters siege. 97
- Political and operational limits — Even when Envoys possess broad authority, they remain subject to internal judgment and formal procedure, as seen after Lu Jun kills Pacification Commissioner Xiao Yungui. 32 34
