This village Yimo is in is located at the foot of a deep mountain forest.
The dense, ancient trees surrounding it made everyone realize that this place was probably truly isolated from the outside world.
Yimo quickly divided everyone into groups.
Group One: Old Du Liu, Old Qian Ben, Ferryman, Cthulhu.
The two oldest players, plus the aloof, technical man Ferryman and the seemingly humble office worker.
Group Two: True Martial Emperor, Conan, Supreme One, Ordinary Girl Village Chief.
Except for True Martial Emperor, who seemed quite sincere, the others in this group each had their own distinct characteristics.
Conan wore an inscrutable expression, Supreme One was smug, believing he had followed Yimo, and was incredibly arrogant, while the Ordinary Girl looked very displeased, making no one want to interact with her.
Even a straightforward fellow like True Martial Emperor couldn't get along well with them.
In Group Three, which was Yimo's group, he fully utilized his position as Village Chief to place three of the four female players into his own group.
Of course, Yimo had hesitated on whether to put Pikachu or the Ordinary Girl in his group.
But seeing the Ordinary Girl's disgusted look, as if he were trash, he ultimately went with her preference and didn't have her join his group, though she still managed to mock him.
"Ugh... truly disgusting!"
This made Yimo start to feel annoyed just looking at the Ordinary Girl, but since she was so unreasonable, he couldn't just fall out with a sixteen-year-old girl. So, he decided to avoid looking at her and just endure it!
Then, he began to assign everyone their tasks.
This village wasn't large, but it wasn't particularly small either.
It was enclosed by a wooden fence, about waist-high and sharpened to a point. The most prominent features, besides the huge circular table in the center of the village and the so-called execution site within it, were the numerous small, round thatched huts.
How to describe them?
Their primitiveness even reminded Yimo of the thatched huts of tribal villages in African rainforests from movies. He suspected they were so simple that a strong gust of wind or heavy rain could blow them away.
As for other things, there were some stone carvings, tools for work, and small plots of farmland in the village.
No one had taken the time to look closely at what else there might be, so they weren't really sure.
Yimo didn't intend to have everyone mill about looking at the thatched huts and checking every location; it would take too long and interfere with his subsequent plans.
So, he made the assignments: Group One was to inspect the small thatched huts, confirming if there was anything useful or unusual.
Group Two was to survey the village for any usable tools, edible food, or anything bizarre.
After the work was assigned, the two groups, totaling eight people, began to move.
Yimo waved his hand, gathering his group members, and said, "Hey, ladies, let's get to work too!"
Although Yimo intended to speak with a cheerful, outing-like tone.
His deep, hoarse voice, combined with his expressionless, poker face, completely changed the mood. Instead of being cheerful, it sounded lifeless and dead.
It was as if...
They were being given a particularly troublesome task by a unscrupulous boss and were going to do it with great reluctance and a lack of motivation.
Well, after Yimo finished speaking, the room fell silent.
Seeing the situation, Yimo scratched his head, wondering if he was overdoing the act and should change his tone.
Good grief, everyone must be looking at me now, not as a werewolf, but definitely not as a good person, right?
Yimo looked at the three of them thinking, which only made him appear more sinister, as if he were plotting something bad, causing the atmosphere to become even colder.
Dieyu seemed to still be contemplating Yimo's earlier mention of a private introduction.
Pikachu, on the other hand, was looking at the other two girls. In comparison, her own figure and looks felt insulted, making her quite annoyed, and she stopped paying attention to Yimo.
Instead, Naughty Cat, with a slightly flushed face and looking nervous, glanced left and right. Finally unable to stand the atmosphere, she extended her hand and said, "Oh oh oh! Everyone, let's do our best!"
"Let's strive to all make it out alive..."
She seemed to want to encourage everyone and liven up the awkward atmosphere, but she was timid and easily embarrassed. As she spoke, her confidence dwindled, her voice grew softer, and she became completely flushed, covering her face shyly, looking at the three of them with some fear.
Pikachu frowned upon hearing this, considering Naughty Cat's words as malicious cuteness. She glared at her, saying, "Tch, how could we all make it out alive?"
"It's not our first game, are you a high-level green tea?"
"Mmm..." Hearing this, Naughty Cat became even more embarrassed, turning her head away, not daring to look at Pikachu.
The other person was over 200 pounds, likely over 5'7", with a very imposing build. Coupled with her unfriendly tone, it genuinely made her feel subconsciously afraid.
In contrast, Dieyu, hearing this, snapped out of her daze, revealing a confident smile. She looked at Naughty Cat, walked over, and patted her head, saying, "Naughty Cat, you're really cute. Dieyu is so envious~"
"Don't be afraid. Everyone will definitely do their best to survive and get out of the game."
Naughty Cat looked at Dieyu gratefully, but with a hint of fear, she asked, "Really, can we make it out alive?"
Dieyu stylishly patted her chest, tilted her head, and blinked her eyes, "Of course, I believe we will!"
It had to be said, Dieyu's energetic demeanor was quite healing. Naughty Cat felt much less pressure upon hearing this, and her tense shoulders relaxed considerably.
Pikachu, on the other hand, looked at the two of them with great displeasure and walked towards Yimo, saying, "Hey, Siba Jungler, handsome little guy, the other two groups are handling the village matters. What are we going to do?"
Yimo glanced at Naughty Cat and Dieyu, who was already blinking at him as if seeking praise. He knew he didn't need to comfort them anymore. He couldn't help but think that assigning Dieyu to his group was a truly correct decision; it would save him a lot of trouble.
However, upon seeing Pikachu, who seemed to be looking at them with a hint of admiration, [Yimo]'s expression soured again.
Being liked by someone sometimes wasn't necessarily a good thing.
If the other party resorted to force, [Yimo] with their small frame really wouldn't be able to resist!
Fortunately, players couldn't attack each other during the day.
[Yimo] didn't dwell on it too much, snapping their fingers and saying, "We... of course, are going to do the most important thing."
"Slack off?" Dieyu walked over, holding Naughty Cat's hand. She placed a finger on her lips and tilted her head playfully, looking incredibly cute.
It made [Yimo] want to interact with her more, to pat her little head.
But it was ultimately inappropriate, and [Yimo] couldn't see through her thoughts right now, so they shook their head.
"No, let's go see if we can get out of this village!"
In the previous game, [Yimo] had been in a rush, so they hadn't properly checked the rooms and mine shafts for any hidden secrets.
In games, finding hidden information and items to utilize was a habit of [Yimo]'s.
It was just that they weren't entirely sure if these death games had such mechanics.
But, it was worth a look.
[Yimo] led the three girls to the village entrance and froze when they saw three bamboo baskets that were completely out of place in the surroundings.
