"Just because of those so-called movies in your head, you actually..."

"Stop licking me. You know I'm a germaphobe."

Kino slapped away the tongue that had been licking his face.

"Ah, sorry, I didn't..."

Venom instinctively apologized, then noticed the amusement in Kino's eyes.

"You son of a— You actually tricked me."

"Ah, that tickles. I'm sorry."

Kino hurriedly begged for mercy, and only then did Venom let him go.

As expected, even if a symbiote retained its former memories, its personality would still be influenced by its current host.

That was why the two of them could start fooling around as soon as they met, without the slightest barrier between them.

"Venom, can you take me outside?"

"Impossible."

"I'll prepare a game console and chocolate, and I'll take you sightseeing. Please, help me."

Venom returned to Kino's body, and Kino's vision suddenly went black.

The dense crackle of gunfire reached him.

"I don't know. I never expected there to be mutants here too. If Little Boss hadn't just called me his idol, I would've abandoned him already. FK."

"Wade, watch him. I'll see if I can break out."

"Okay, I'll leave him to you."

Then came Logan's roar, followed by the sound of blades slicing through flesh.

"Wade, you're hurt."

Kino opened his eyes. The first thing he saw was the wound on Wade's shoulder.

"Little Boss, you're finally awake. This is a work-related injury, so you have to cover my medical expenses."

Medical bills in New York started at a fortune.

Kino stood up and surveyed his surroundings. He was still in the laboratory, and the TNT was still attached to the container.

"Wade, explain the situation."

"Sure. The boss passed out the moment he went outside. The Life Foundation hired three mutants as security guards, along with a bunch of rifle-carrying guards.

"If they hadn't been worried about us detonating the bomb, we'd already be dead. Oh, Logan probably wouldn't have died."

Wade shook the battered steel sword in his hand. If not for those three mutants, his skills would have been enough to kill them all by himself.

At that moment, Logan was sent flying in and crashed into the wall. His body was riddled with bullet holes. Before long, the wounds began to heal, and his muscles forced all the bullets out.

"Kid, you finally woke up."

"Yeah. Thanks for not abandoning me."

Kino was a little moved. Wade aside, with Logan's abilities, not many people could have stopped him if he had wanted to leave.

"After all, you called me your idol."

"Hmph. Kid, I took a job. Didn't you say merging with that symbiote would grant tremendous power?"

Logan snorted. There was another reason he hadn't left: this kid was mysterious and knew a great deal. He had said that the symbiote possessed immense power. If that was true, this predicament would not be much of a problem.

"Can you help me, Venom?"

The next second, chunks of black, viscous material passed through his clothes and rapidly fused outside his body, forming a hideous black monster with a mouthful of sharp teeth and a lolling tongue.

"Watch me slaughter them."

Venom charged straight out and was immediately bombarded by countless bullets.

A punk with holes between his hands stared in shock at the monster that had suddenly appeared, then fired a shockwave at Venom.

It struck Venom's body and raised a ripple across the surface, without even breaking through her defenses.

"Are you tickling me?"

Venom ignored the bullets. Through her mental connection with Kino, she decided to deal with the mutants first.

She crouched slightly. The next second, she shot toward the punk like a bolt of black lightning and drove out a fist as large as a wok.

Like hitting a baseball, her fist smashed into the punk's chest. His body bent into a ＜ shape and flew into the guards behind him, only stopping when he slammed into the wall.

"First."

Venom did not bother looking at the punk, whose flesh had already been reduced to a bloody mess. Instead, she fixed her gaze on a burly man whose entire body gleamed with a metallic luster.

"My name is Tieling. My body is completely indestructible!"

Feeling Venom's icy gaze, the burly man's heart chilled. He forced himself to remain calm, shuddered, and roared loudly, trying to bolster his courage with his voice before charging toward Venom.

"Is that so? Then I'll have to test it."

A cold smile curled across Venom's lips. Her figure blurred, and she sprinted toward the burly man as well. Both of them moved incredibly fast, closing the distance like lightning.

Bang—

Just as the two were about to collide, a dull impact rang out like a massive bell, deafening everyone. Venom's fist slammed into Tieling's face, and time seemed to freeze.

Tieling's body abruptly stiffened. Both of his eyes burst, and blood sprayed from their sockets. At the same time, white fluid began to flow from his ears.

That one blow had smashed Tieling's brain into pulp, killing him instantly.

"So his body is only hardened on the outside. His internal organs are still made of fragile flesh."

Venom looked at Tieling's fallen body.

The entire scene fell silent. Even the gunfire stopped as everyone stared blankly at the monster before them.

"How much are you getting paid a month? Why are you risking your lives?"

"Run!"

"Let me try this move."

Venom watched the people fleeing in all directions but did not chase them. She raised her fists and smashed them hard into the ground, burying both enormous fists deep into the floor.

"Myriad Tendrils, end everything."

As Venom let out a low roar, dozens of black tendrils drilled out of the ground. They moved as nimbly as venomous snakes, rapidly extending and piercing every guard who tried to escape.

The tendrils moved too quickly to dodge. They mercilessly pierced through the guards' bodies, inflicting fatal wounds.

The entire scene became eerily quiet. Only the tendrils continued writhing, as if celebrating their victory.

Venom remained standing there, like an immovable mountain, radiating a terrifying presence.

Venom's gaze fell upon a figure lying on the ground.

"That's the illusion user. What happened to him?"

Venom's face opened, revealing Kino's face.

[I killed him from within the mental world. He's become a vegetable.]

Venom's voice came from the depths of his mind.

"As expected, Venom, you're even more powerful than I imagined."

[...]

"But Venom, aren't you going to eat these people?" Kino asked hesitantly.

When choosing Venom, he had already considered the issue of eating people.

[You don't like that, do you? Chocolate can replenish my energy anyway.]

"Thank you. Choosing you was the best decision I've ever made."

[You're welcome.]

When the sounds outside finally stopped, Wade and Wolverine came out and looked at the robust Venom and the bodies covering the floor.

"Hello, boss. You doing okay?"

Kino returned to his original appearance and faced the two of them.

"Let's go."

The three of them left the base and got into the car. Kino finally breathed a sigh of relief. Everything that had happened that day had been far too intense for him.

After they had driven some distance away, he pressed the button.

A massive explosion erupted. A mushroom cloud rose behind them. This time, it was real.

"Oh, boss, the mission's complete. Can you pay the balance?" Wade sat in the passenger seat and removed his mask, thinking about his five hundred thousand.

"Wade, I'll treat your injury first."

Kino placed his hand on Wade's shoulder. Black tissue seeped into his body and repaired the wound.

"Oh, ah—easy, boss."

Wade felt an itch at the wound. After the treatment ended, he rolled his shoulder.

"Great. Good as new. I can save a huge amount on medical bills. Boss, if you opened a shop, it would be a huge hit."

Kino communicated with Venom.

[This guy already has cancer.]

"Can you cure it?"

[I can't.]

"I understand."
