Background

Venom was held in a black symbiote container at a Life Foundation laboratory. Kino selected her because he believed she would be easier to coexist with than other symbiotes and destroyed the container to release her. She became his first symbiote and host relationship; Venom had never possessed anyone before him. Their bond began when she prevented Kino from killing himself to verify that their escape was real. Kino recognized their shared loneliness, calling them “the same kind.” 3 5

After merging with Kino, Venom defeated the Life Foundation's guards and mutants, then escaped with him. She accepted chocolate as an alternative energy source because Kino did not want her to consume people. 4

Venom gradually copied powers from people and demons Kino encountered, including Poison Ivy's abilities, a Shapeshifter Demon's transformation, and Basa's damage-absorption ability. Her copied powers could be combined, but they preserved the target's ability at the time of copying rather than retaining its natural growth potential. 13 17 35

After copying the Shapeshifter Demon's body data, Venom created an independent human-like body. She initially modeled its appearance on Pamela Isley, then confessed her feelings to Kino; their relationship became romantic. 18 19

In Hell, Venom was publicly acknowledged as queen for a day while Kino served her. She declined the permanent position, recognizing that Kino was trying to escape the burdens of rule. 98 99

Venom later became a mother to Kino's children, Duyao and Qiji. She remained beside Kino throughout his 1,384-year period of training under time dilation, despite the twins remaining unborn for much of that time. 350 351 353

Appearance

Venom's original combat form is a towering black, viscous humanoid creature. After gaining shapeshifting data, she can maintain an independent human-like female body, often resembling Pamela's physique.
