With an unwilling roar, Byakuren, the First Mizukage, was approached by Duke, who severed his limbs with an Ice Blade and froze him with Ice Beam. The old man clearly still had a few signature ninjutsu he had not used. Under normal circumstances, Duke would have been interested in seeing them, but this was a battle between two armies. Delays could bring complications, so he could only send him off first.

The Ice Dragon shattered into fragments and vanished. The sealing squad that had been waiting for this began sealing the three Mizukage. Duke had defeated three opponents alone, earning another wave of prestige, countless admiring gazes, and Terumi Mei's resentful Byakugan.

After this battle, the historical standing of Kirigakure's Mizukage throughout the ages was
