After surviving attacks on the journey, he reached the port and began searching for medicine and answers to his failed pill refining.

• Zhang Rongfang began cultivating the Golden Toad Skill, and Yue Dewen warned him that its flaws had killed the Second Generation Moon King and could cost him his life.
• Zhang Rongfang received a Golden Wing Tower key and decoded its cipher, learning that the Secret Cache contained Spiritization research and information about other Human Seeds.
• Yue Dewen named Zhang Rongfang Daozi of Heavenly Treasure Palace, but Zhang Rongfang accepted an appointment as Citong Guardian and prepared to leave Great Capital.
• Zhang Rongfang found that the key’s map pointed to Citong, strengthened his Martial Arts with Attribute Points and Bewildering Jade Marrow, and joined Princess Yongxiang’s caravan.
• Masked attackers ambushed the caravan, and Zhang Rongfang killed Yuan Hong and Liu Wuye after they turned on him.
• A disguised assassin poisoned the convoy and shot Chen Han, but Chen Han and A Yi subdued her before Princess Yongxiang took her for questioning.

Zhang Rongfang uncovered the secrets of Spiritized People, survived the upheaval in Citong, and tested whether his growing strength could kill a Spirit Vein. As he built up his Hard Skills, the struggling Sun Family came to him for help, and Sun Chaoyue recognized him from Tanyang.

• Zhang Rongfang perfected the Golden Toad Skill and, after Yan Shuang exposed Yue Dewen’s altered prescription, advanced it using Hundred-Year Red.
• Zhang Rongfang searched Huang Jing Mountain, met Zhang Yunqi, and opened a Secret Cache that revealed how Spiritized People revived and how destroying a Worship God statue could kill one permanently.
• Zhang Rongfang learned that his Great Dao Sect Token could expose his cultivation, took the All Under Heaven Blade, and returned to find A Yi and A Er dead after Taijing Zi’s attack.
• During Yong Xiang’s siege of the White Ten Sect, Taijing Zi captured her, and Zhang Rongfang later crippled her in a Rebel Sect ambush before Zhang Yunqi took responsibility for the consequences.
• Zhang Rongfang established the Great Dao Sect’s Main Temple in Citong, pushed the Golden Toad Skill too far, and spent a month recovering and raising his Life Attribute.
• Zhang Rongfang began learning Iron Shirt and tested his strength against Melissa, killing her through ninety-nine revivals before the All Under Heaven Blade stopped her silver threads from returning.

Zhang Rongfang pursued stronger martial arts while protecting Sky Peak Cave, where he found rare medicines and clashed with the Thousand Stone Sect. The arc left Yan Shenjun considering Zhang Rongfang’s identity as political unrest spread and Zhang reached the human genetic limit in several attributes.

• Zhang Rongfang helped Sun Qinghong and Sun Chaoyue, then returned to Citong, where he learned of foreign conflicts and the Jade Sea Gang’s violence.
• Zhang Rongfang joined Zhang Zhenhai’s fighters to kill a Red-Haired Spirit Vein, then negotiated with Li Guanyue to learn Thirteen Taibao Horizontal Training.
• After Li Guanyue’s family was attacked during their escape, Zhang Rongfang treated Li Guanyue and learned the family’s Hard Skill, then raised his Life Attribute to one hundred and gained Dark Light Vision.
• Zhang Rongfang traveled to Sky Peak Cave, where he uncovered the Mystic Sun Flesh Fungus and other medicines after defeating the Ghost Mask Man and rescuing Ding Luo and Mu Chunxiu.
• As Aloeswood Palace faced plots and accusations, Zhang Rongfang developed Soul Scattering Finger, fought off Thousand Stone Sect experts, and faced the Left Protector Yan Shenjun.

Zhang Rongfang crushed the Thousand Sect Alliance, uncovered how to kill Spirit Veins, and concealed the Rebel Sect while religious and military forces converged on Citong. The arc ended with Zhang Rongfang treating a badly wounded Xue Ji as Iron Mask appeared at Aloeswood Palace demanding his whereabouts.

• Zhang Rongfang returned to Aloeswood Palace, exposed an infiltrator, and began investigating the Jade Shop Association with Zhang Yunqi.
• Zhang Rongfang and Zhang Yunqi abducted disguised suspects on Kuaiyi Island, while Zhang Rongfang’s forces destroyed the Thousand Sect Alliance ships and defeated Zhu Wanguo’s group.
• Zhang Rongfang spent the next year cultivating, then experimented on Han Jia and discovered that a Spirit Core could be tracked through its Silver Light and destroyed.
• Zhang Rongfang led an assault on Sea Gazing Temple, killed Kong Xiang by destroying the Silver Light within him, and revealed that he had found a way to kill Spirit Veins swiftly.
• Zhang Rongfang covered up the massacre at Sea Gazing Temple as the Thousand Sect Alliance’s work, while his influence and resources in Citong grew.
• Xue Ji accused Zhang Rongfang of killing Princess Yongxiang, but Zhang Rongfang offered clues about Secret Teaching agents that made Xue Ji reconsider the accusation.
• After learning that Kong Ding and Hui Jue had come to eradicate the Rebel Sect, Zhang Rongfang arranged for its core members to leave Citong for a Hidden Island.
