The Encirclement Nears Completion

Lirath Windrunner's arrow had curved because it was an Enchanted Arrow, forged from Enchanted Metal and imbued by a magister with a tracking effect.

Egilson gritted through the pain and pulled out the arrow. Lightning gathered in his palm and instantly destroyed the Enchanted Arrow.

Meanwhile, Tyrel used the opening created by Lirath to charge toward Egilson.

But Egilson was no fool. To ensure his safety, he had gathered a large number of Forest Troll Warriors around him.

Tyrel's advance was quickly halted by the Forest Trolls, but he was now very close to Egilson.

Egilson was revered by the Amani Trolls as the Eagle God, the incarnation of the proud god of eagles. Combined with his attire, he was immensely popular among the Forest Trolls. Yet in Tyrel's eyes, he had become a birdman.

Tyrel knew the name Eagle God Egilson. His opponent was one of the Amani Trolls' four great powerhouses and excelled at wielding lightning.

Eagle God Egilson could be considered a powerful caster priest or shaman, but his close-combat strength was not great. Tyrel therefore decided to provoke him, forcing Eagle God Egilson to fight instead of fleeing. Seeing how much Egilson cared about the term birdman, Tyrel loudly declared in Trollish, "All right then, Birdman Egilson."

Tyrel's Trollish was perfectly articulated, allowing every Forest Troll to hear him call Egilson a birdman. The Forest Trolls had originally assumed Egilson was the incarnation of the Eagle God, but after hearing that word, they could not help looking at his peculiar outfit. He really... did look like a birdman.

The more worship someone received, the more likely they were to fly into a rage when their image was damaged. Eagle God Egilson was exactly like that now. In the eyes of every Forest Troll who looked at him, he felt nothing but mockery.

"Die, elf!" Humiliation and rage robbed Eagle God Egilson of his reason. Rather than widening the distance from Tyrel, he directly thrust out his sharp claw blades, seeking to pierce him.

Egilson's claw blades were also epic-grade weapons, equal in quality to Tyrel's Quel'dorei Greatsword. Thus, the Quel'dorei Greatsword's sharpness no longer had its previously unstoppable effect.

However, Egilson specialized in Lightning Magic and was a caster. In terms of strength and combat technique, he was utterly incapable of matching Tyrel.

Egilson's magnificent Eagle God Set was instantly torn open by the Quel'dorei Greatsword, but Tyrel keenly noticed that the blade had been stopped by something harder and could not directly cut into Egilson's flesh.

At the tear in Egilson's Eagle God Set, Tyrel discovered what had blocked the Quel'dorei Greatsword: a plate breastplate.

Egilson, who had nearly been disemboweled, broke out in a cold sweat. If he had not worn the epic-grade Veiled Intent Breastplate beneath the Eagle God Set, he would have been severely wounded already.

Egilson possessed intelligence and caution far beyond that of ordinary Forest Trolls. He knew that close combat was his weakness. He had neither Naralakh's strength nor Haralaz's agility.

Thus, to preserve his life, Egilson had always worn the epic-grade Veiled Intent Breastplate hidden beneath the Eagle God Set. It might have been inconvenient, but it could save his life!

Other than Egilson himself, no one knew that he wore an epic-grade breastplate under the Eagle God Set. The Forest Trolls did not know, and Tyrel, a High Elf, knew even less.

This caused Tyrel to miss his only chance to kill Egilson.

An inexplicable fear suddenly rose in Egilson's heart, making him afraid to meet Tyrel's gaze. As a result, he lost the confidence to kill Tyrel.

With Tyrel holding Egilson back and Lirath Windrunner disrupting him, and without wide-range Lightning Magic affecting the battlefield, the High Elf Paladins of the Dawnblade Legion once again suppressed the Forest Trolls.

With Tyrel no longer commanding the Dawnblade Legion, Mylah Dawncaller decisively took up the banner.

The scales of battle tilted once again toward the High Elves. As long as the Dawnblade Legion could completely block the main Forest Troll force's retreat, the Forest Troll main force would be annihilated under the joint encirclement of the Pathfinder Legion and the Dawnblade Legion.

Zul'jin, Egilson, Naralakh, and Haralaz, the four great Forest Troll powerhouses, were all trapped here. If the Forest Trolls lost them as well, they would truly be finished.
