The grueling battle began. Ordinary undead posed the least threat; they could barely break through the plate armor of Warriors and Paladins.
At first, the ones surrounding them were all ordinary undead. Driven by their instinctive craving for flesh and blood, they launched their attacks.
The weapons of the Warriors and Paladins could kill them with ease.
Ghouls were far stronger than ordinary undead. Their strength had been enhanced, their attacks were faster, and their deformed claws were as hard as steel.
Before long, massive Abominations charged over, barreling through and trampling ordinary undead beneath their feet. They raised their enormous, cumbersome weapons and smashed them down viciously.
Shields collided with the Abominations' weapons. Against creatures as huge as Abominations, ordinary Warriors naturally could not match them head-on. Even with their shields raised to block, they were nearly knocked over by the Abominations' immense strength.
The tireless Abominations attacked without pause, forcing the shield-bearing Warriors to grit their teeth.
Fortunately, the comrades protected behind them decisively launched their attacks.
However, ordinary weapons found it difficult to harm Abominations. Their massive size made it impossible for Human and High Elf Warriors to strike their heads, while the thick fat covering their bodies served as natural armor, and pain was ineffective against them.
High Priestess Countess Liadrin used Holy Shock. Holy Light Energy erupted toward an Abomination's head, blasting its ugly skull to pieces.
Though simple-minded, Abominations possessed a certain degree of intelligence. They quickly realized that the iron cans standing before them were difficult to kill, tough meat to chew through, while the meat protected inside wore no iron cans and was much easier to eat.
Thus, some Abominations with iron hooks decisively hurled them out. The hooks passed through the frontmost Warriors and Paladins, snagging the vulnerable High Elf priests
