A sorcerer multiclassing as a wizard
Soren first settled Vivian in.
The little girl looked around with great curiosity, finding everything before her new and exciting. Aladdin, being a restless fellow, would sneakily steal a couple of fruits he had never seen before; most Rogue ' hands were not exactly docile. Elf are the race that cultivates the most fruit, so they have fruits almost year-round. Here, the fruit is sliced and served on the main table. Nearly a third of the Elf are vegetarians, only occasionally adding meat to their meals; the other Elf ' diets are not much different from humans'.
Goria seemed to be in a good mood, playing with a bright red fruit, but she didn't seem inclined to take a bite.
Soren first circled the village, then glanced at the large tree from afar. The Treant Guard forbade anyone to approach; a fence surrounded it, and getting too close would provoke the Elf ' hostility. This was Challenge Rating 12 supernatural creature, granting over 10,000 Slaughter Experience, but it was extremely difficult to defeat. Treant Guard had a natural Hit Points bonus of 12 points, increasing by 1 point every year ring Hit Points; this particular Treant Guard had at least four or five hundred points of Hit Points.
Setting it on fire is practically impossible to kill; it might even transform into an [Angry Burning Treant].
That's absolutely awesome!
They are Hit Points forms similar to the Air Elemental and Fire Elemental, and these Hit Points forms are prone to mutation (advanced mutation).
The Elf sell high-quality bows and arrows, as well as exquisite ornaments and handicrafts, which are very popular with the nobles. They need to import food, ironware, and cloth, etc., and that isolated, self-sufficient lifestyle disappeared hundreds of years ago. Only a few Elf who adhere to traditional doctrines live a secluded life deep in the forest.
This place is not far from Soren's target.
The group was quite tired after three days of trekking. They would definitely rest today, and tomorrow he planned to tell Goria about his plans.
The night passed quickly.
The next day, everyone gathered in Soren's room, and their eyes brightened considerably after hearing what Soren had to say.
"Wait a minute." Aladdin clapped his hands, his expression excited, and lowered his voice, "You mean there's a hidden treasure somewhere nearby? But it's guarded by monsters, so we need to help out?"
"No problem!"
"Aladdin loves treasure the most; once we find it, I want a share of the spoils."
Goria seemed equally interested in the treasure hunt, gently lifting a strand of her hair. Though her face was veiled, her expression remained hidden, but her demeanor revealed her keen interest. While the world held many treasures, the truly valuable ones were scattered and hidden, and high-ranking Witch alike were eager for their riches. However, upon hearing the location Soren described, she immediately frowned and said, "Over there? There's a dragon said to live nearby!"
Aladdin's expression froze for a moment, then his face showed no worry, but rather even more excitement. "A Dragon Lair? Then the wealth must be even more astonishing! Just like in the legends. Are we going to steal the Dragonkind's treasure?"
Goria frowned and said softly, "With our strength, approaching the Dragon Lair would only be suicide. It's definitely a Adult Dragon there."
Soren gently shook his head and explained, "Of course not the Dragon Lair; it's far too dangerous there. The treasure's location is tens of kilometers away from the Dragon Lair, and that dragon is still asleep, posing no threat to us. Besides, it's a Metallic Dragon, not the more Evil Chromatic Dragon. My target is near a canyon where Earth Elemental are active. Inside the canyon is an Elemental Altar, and below it lies the treasure we're looking for. There should be many valuable items inside."
The Elf have a Metallic Dragon, seemingly a fully grown Copper Dragon, but it will remain dormant for another year or two until the Time of Troubles arrives; it is currently in its hibernation period. The Four [Elemental Seal] is a Legendary quest. The rewards are naturally not just a Legendary piece of equipment, but also extremely valuable gems and items. Earth Elemental condense a core within their bodies, a crucial material for crafting Clay Golem and Stone Golem; once unearthed, it can be easily sold for over 500 Gold Daler.
Simply put...
Even without that very special Legendary Equipment, the rewards from this adventure would exceed 15,000 Gold Daler.
Even if the three people split it, they'd still get five or six thousand Gold Daler. That's more than ten times the amount of a regular adventurer!
"Excellent!" The Halfling clapped his hands, clearly enthusiastic about making money. He then asked, "When do we set off? If we leave in the next couple of days, I'll need to prepare some small items. Following the usual procedure, shall we now form an Adventurer team? Since you provided the treasure location, you should be in charge of leading the team, and you'll get an extra ten percent of the final profits."
"Is everything alright?"
The time they've spent together has allowed them to get to know each other quite a bit, but the Halfling are still very particular about the distribution of spoils.
There's a common rule among Adventurer: the person who provides the treasure location gets an extra 10%, while other members get at least 10%, with the amount allocated based on their contribution in the battle. However, in most cases, the distribution is even after replenishing their resources. Adventurer sometimes form temporary teams, since fixed teams are rare, and some people will retire or leave. Sometimes the difficulty of a mission means there aren't enough people to complete it, so Soren occasionally finds temporary teammates.
He used to deal frequently with people from the Evil Alignment. Although these people were all quite bad, many of them were trustworthy, and only a few would stab someone in the back. The Halfling before him were undoubtedly much more reliable than them. He had the most contact with the Drow. These guys were treacherous, cunning, vicious, and cruel, but Soren had fought alongside them hundreds of times. It was common for them to have selfish motives, but betrayal was rare.
For a time, he even thought that Drow were easier to deal with than humans!
If you understand their rules of conduct, you can even earn their respect; of course, you'd better demonstrate sufficient Evil and cunning.
If you appear kind and easily bullied, they'll be happy to plot how to secretly get rid of you!
The group was discussing when to set off.
But just then, Vivian stood up, her small figure standing tall, and said with a determined look, "Brother! I want to go too!"
consternation.
Soren was clearly taken aback for a moment, then rejected the idea, saying, "This mission is very dangerous. What would you do with me? I'll put you in a very safe place."
The little girl didn't say anything, she just looked at him with a firm gaze, which made him feel inexplicably guilty, as if he had done something wrong.
"Hey?" Aladdin rubbed his forehead and muttered, "You're only eight years old, right? Wanting to go on adventures already? That's too much..."
Vivian glared at him without hesitation and retorted, "You're only a little taller than me. If you can go on an adventure, why can't I? Besides, I'm much stronger than before!"
The Halfling was speechless for a moment. He gestured to show the height of the two people and realized that they were indeed only slightly taller.
Goria was clearly taken aback for a moment, then frowned and fell into deep thought. She slowly said, "Perhaps Vivian can go with us. After all, she has to choose her own path. We can guide her, but she has to walk the path herself. She has too much to face in the future, so it's good for her to be tempered now. Besides, I can protect her."
Goria's words clearly sided with Vivian, immediately earning her a grateful look from the little girl.
Soren frowned and glared at the Northern Witch, his face still ashen. "No. It's too dangerous. You have trouble even venturing out on your own in the forest. What good will it do if I take you with me?"
Tears welled up in the little girl's eyes, and she stubbornly turned her head away from him.
"Oh, right," Goria suddenly said, "I forgot to tell you, Vivian is now a level three Sorcerer and a level two Wizard."
What?!
Both people present looked shocked.
Soren's expression was somewhat better, after all, he knew Vivian's astonishing talent, but the Halfling's expression was quite exaggerated. He pointed at the little girl in front of him, a look of disbelief on his face, and muttered, "Is she Sorcerer? Or Wizard?"
Won't she have an overwhelming number of Spell Slot in the future?
He didn't actually say this aloud, because the little girl in front of him had overturned his previous worldview. Wizard and Sorcerer have Spell Slot calculated separately. Wizard acquire Spell Slot through memory, while Sorcerer acquire Spell counts through talent. Sorcerer who also work as Wizard are quite rare, because this requires extremely high talent. However, those who successfully work as both often have more Spell Slot than others and can also help Sorcerer master the number of Spell.
To put it simply, after the collapse of the Weave, all Spellcasting Class will be converted into Mana. Wizard will convert based on their intelligence and profession level, priests based on their perception and profession level, Sorcerer based on their charm and profession level. Therefore, the mana conversion for Sorcerer and Wizard is directly a combination of intelligence, charm, and profession level, resulting in significantly higher Mana than Wizard of the same level. However, because their profession levels are lowered, mastering high-level Spell will become more difficult.
For example, Vivian currently possesses two 1st-level Spell and one 2nd-level Spell, which come with the Sorcerer rank, as well as two 1st-level Spell slots, which come with the Wizard Level.
(ps1: I spent a lot of time researching for the last few paragraphs, which made writing much slower. The third update will be tonight.)
(ps2: The Weave can be understood as a website. Wizard need to manually connect to the internet and enter the URL to access it, while Sorcerer have an automatic dial-up connection. The browser's homepage is the Weave, and several bookmarks will automatically appear with each level up. However, anyone trying to access pages containing Legendary or higher Spell will get a 404 error. [Weave Banned]) (To be continued~^~)
