Sacrifice!
Beside a clean rock.
Soren sat beside her, chewing on dried meat. Goria didn't seem to have much of an appetite, only eating a little before putting the rest down. The Northern Witch, of noble birth, disliked such low-quality food; in the wild, she would only eat the snacks she carried with her and drink some water. Vivian, on the other hand, wasn't picky at all. Whether it was a delicious feast or mediocre dried rations, the little girl ate with relish, even raising her small, white hand to wipe Soren's mouth.
"Who?!"
Soren's hand, holding the rations, suddenly paused. In an instant, he leaped up, drawing his Scimitar and shouting towards the distant woods, "Who's there? Show yourself now! Or don't blame me for being impolite!"
Goria reacted quickly, instantly pulling a staff from her Bag of Holding. The gems on it, which stored Spell, emitted a faint glow. Vivian stood behind Soren, her small figure showing some confusion on her face. She looked up at the woods not far away, her expression hard to describe, as if she were somewhat bewildered.
"Feel sorry!"
A magnetic voice rang out, and then Plane strikingly handsome Elf Ranger stepped forward. His mere presence was captivating. While Soren's Half-Elf features might have contributed to his dashing appearance, compared to this Elf Ranger, he was even less striking than most ordinary people. A single glance was enough to affect both men and women for a moment; he seemed like the protagonist of a tavern's story, capable of making noblewomen and young women blush and their hearts race with involuntary passion.
This is an extremely handsome Elf Ranger.
His handsome appearance was so striking that even Soren couldn't find the words to describe it; he could only say that he was favored by the Elven Gods.
Goria's eyes brightened for a moment, then she frowned slightly.
The Northern Witch still retain the characteristics of the North people; they admire Perseverance and strong individuals. The Elf Ranger before them was too handsome, so handsome that he seemed almost unreal.
The Elf Ranger landed lightly, leaping down from the tree trunk. She glanced at Soren's face, then her gaze swept over Goria, finally settling on Vivian behind her. She continued, "I meant no harm; I was merely passing through."
Soren showed no sign of relaxation, and said in a deep voice, "Then please leave."
The Elf Ranger didn't leave immediately. He smiled, appearing very friendly, and took a step forward, saying, "Don't be so nervous. I am Ranger who worships the God of Nature."
"Stop!" Soren's expression remained serious as he said in a deep voice, "We don't know you. Please leave."
The Elf Ranger's strong eyebrows furrowed slightly. He glanced at Soren, then turned his gaze to Goria, revealing a charming smile. He slowly said, "Honorable lady, your companion seems rather unfriendly to me. I think he may have some misunderstanding. I just happened to be passing through. Travel alone in the wilderness is very dangerous. Perhaps we can travel together."
Where are you planning to go?
Goria gently lifted her long hair, her veil concealing her expression, and slowly said, "Step back, stranger."
Just then...
Vivian suddenly tugged at Soren's sleeve with her small hand and whispered, "Brother, this person looks so familiar, but I don't think I've seen him before."
The little girl has an excellent memory; she can remember most of the people she has met.
The Elf Ranger before them had excellent hearing and seemed to have heard Vivian's words. He turned his head, revealed a friendly smile, and said softly, "Hello, lovely little girl."
"You also feel very familiar to me; perhaps we've met before."
Soren and Goria exchanged a quick glance, their wary expressions growing even more serious.
Although the Elf Ranger before them was very handsome, with a seemingly harmless smile, he offered them no sense of friendliness. When they encountered the Halfling, Aladdin had simply stood by the roadside, jumped up, waved, and shouted when he saw them. It was clear at a glance that he harbored no hostility. But the Elf Ranger was different; he had obviously crept up stealthily. He only revealed himself after Soren discovered his presence, and his seemingly friendly smile was likely just a facade.
His acting skills must be excellent!
The Elf Ranger seemed unprepared for this situation. With his handsome appearance and friendly, harmless smile, he rarely aroused hostility from others. However, the two people before him appeared ready to fight at any moment. No matter how charming or friendly his smile was, it couldn't change their attitude. If he had simply walked over, Soren's hostility wouldn't have been so intense, but the fact that they had been secretly hiding nearby and only appeared after being discovered was very strange.
Vivian wrinkled her nose slightly and whispered, "Brother, let him leave."
The three people in the group didn't seem to like him much. The Elf Ranger's expression was a bit stiff, but he still managed a forced smile before retreating into the forest. As soon as he turned around, his face darkened considerably. He had indeed passed by by accident, accidentally discovering them and approaching as if he had sensed something. Initially, he only intended to observe them quietly, but he didn't expect to be discovered by Soren as soon as he crept in.
This is an incredibly skilled Rogue!
The Elf Ranger's Stealth ability is also very strong; the fact that they can be detected by the opponent in an instant only proves that the opponent is much more experienced in Stealth than they are.
He didn't know how Soren had discovered him, but anyone capable of finding him was definitely a first-rate Rogue.
Soren gripped his Scimitar tightly, and only after confirming the other party had truly left did he nod and say in a deep voice, "Let's move on. Something about that person was off."
Goria glanced into the distance, then used a Lighten Spell.
Soren carried Vivian on his back, and the three continued on their way. Those skilled in Stealth could naturally detect the signs of Stealth, and to evade Soren's senses required at least 150 points of Stealth ability. Although the Elf Ranger was also skilled in Stealth, he was no match for a professional Rogue. If it had been the Halfling Aladdin sneaking up, Soren wouldn't have been able to detect him so easily.
This is the territory of the Elf.
It's quite normal to encounter Elf Ranger here. After carrying Vivian on his back, Soren continued on his way. Goria seemed preoccupied, glancing back every now and then.
"What's wrong?" Soren noticed the other person's unusual behavior and asked, "Is something the problem?"
Goria paused for a moment.
Then she moved her lips slightly and used a level 0 Message to say, "That person just now looked a bit like Vivian! He also seemed to have something unique about him!"
"And he's too handsome, he doesn't quite look like Elf!"
These were the words that reached Soren's ears, but she replied, "Nothing. Just checking if that person is following."
The Elf is very handsome.
But the Elf Ranger from before seemed to be more than just handsome; his appearance could even influence the attitudes of others.
It's like some creatures with a talent for Charm; you have to go through a test of willpower before you can get close to them!
otherwise.
You will be affected.
Soren had just opened his mouth to say something when a deep roar suddenly came from behind him. The sound was somewhat like that of Orc, with its unique, wild roar. Soren swallowed back what he was about to say, instantly preparing for battle. Goria also cast a Abjuration Spell with a solemn expression, then pulled Vivian behind her.
Awooo!
The howls of the Gnoll rose up as if by omen, a cacophony of howls echoing from all directions. The sounds were incredibly mixed; Soren even heard the low growl of Cheetah. The sounds weren't far from their location; they could also faintly hear the roars of battle and the various howls that were gradually approaching from nearby.
"Not good!"
Soren's expression changed slightly, and he grabbed Goria beside him, saying, "They look like followers of the God of Hunt, let's go quickly!"
