Forging steel

The Blacksmith shop was bustling with activity.

The Elf Blacksmith's eyes were bloodshot, but his expression was one of intense excitement as he urged his apprentices to work diligently, frequently calling for them to increase the Smelting Furnace temperature. Beside him lay various rare materials, not all of them Supernatural Item; many were simply uncommon minerals. Forging wasn't just about directly inlaying or simply mixing things together and casting Spell. Forging in this world was a highly sophisticated craft, undoubtedly one of the most difficult basic skills to master!

In some ways, it's even more futuristic than the steel forging techniques of the Interstellar Era!

Special materials serve as tools similar to 'carburizing catalysts', rare minerals are used to add trace amounts of other elements during the hammering process (similar to the process of spring steel), and the Holy Water next to it is the core material used for secondary quenching. There are also some other rather strange things that even Soren himself is not very familiar with. The Supernatural Weapon in this world are all hammered out one hammer blow at a time, Spell is merely a subsequent Enchantment Craft. The equipment in the Abyss Hell is also forged using volcanic Smelting Furnace.

Soren glanced at it and realized he really wasn't that good at this!

The Elf Blacksmith wielded his hammer, striking the steel with a strange rhythm and force. After a hundred strikes, he sprinkled out some of the ground powder and repeated the hammering and forging process. The elements in this mineral powder would seep into the Fish-scale Pattern Steel, and impurities would be removed during the forging process. Only weapons forged through this hundred-fold process could Supernatural Weapon!

Only then can one emerge unscathed from a fierce battle.

Without the rare materials of Adamantine and Mithril to be incorporated, this is the only way to achieve the best weapon effect.

This type of steel ingot also existed in ancient times, where it was called "Wootz Steel" in the Central Plains. In some regions, it was called "Uootz Steel Damascus Steel Ingot," and some people preferred to call it "Damascus Steel Ingot." Its forging process was basically similar to that of the Elven Race Fish-scale Pattern Steel and the Titanium Steel Ingot ingot that the Dwarf liked to boast about. Extremely few people in the world could afford to forge it using rare materials like pure Mithril and Adamantine. It often required the resources of half a country to accomplish, so for the vast majority of the time, these special steel ingots were used for forging.

I don't know why.

Soren was actually quite excited by the focus on the forging process. He had a strong feeling that the weapon he was creating this time would be more than just Tier 1 Supernatural Item.

It is possible to achieve the ultimate effect of forging ordinary iron!

There have been blacksmiths who could forge ordinary iron to an effect close to that of refined Adamantine. Soren felt that the Elf Blacksmith before him probably had more than 200 points of forging skill. Just looking at his hundredfold steel forging technique and his focused state when forging, he might have reached a skill level close to 300 points.

The other party is likely a blacksmith close to master level; the only drawback is that they haven't learned Alchemy!

He probably didn't even realize he was approaching master level, because it seemed he had been forging in this village for many years. His skills had simply accumulated over time.

Soren stayed there for a while and then left, without disturbing the focused Elf Blacksmith.

The other person seemed to be in a somewhat frenzied state, with a rather fanatical expression. He probably also felt that his skills were about to reach a certain breakthrough point.

After decades of forging iron, they never expected to reach a tipping point because of an order for an Supernatural Weapon.

Soren returned to the inn and began studying Spell.

The more Spell nodes and Spell Circuit he masters, the faster he will learn other Spell in the future, and the easier it will be for him to comprehend higher-level Spell.

For ordinary people, the limit of weapon forging is basically master level.

Above that is Spell enchanting, and the very futuristic concept of elemental collapse. Everything actually has vast spatial gaps; atoms and molecules have large spaces, protons and electrons have even larger spaces, and elemental collapse is the collapse of these spaces. The Arcane Empire studied this extensively, because the legendary strongest Neutron Star Golem was constructed from material formed by elemental collapse. Soren once discovered some strange minerals at the edge of the Abyss, the point where Plane and space meet.

It's only the size of a fingernail, but can weigh around three kilograms!

This is the substance from Elemental Collapse, a crucial material for Legendary weapons. Weapons forged from it are virtually indestructible!

It is also the only substance that can counter weapons enchanted by supernatural Spell.

In the later stages, purebred Warrior, upon entering the Legendary Domain, will forge their own unique weapon. This Elemental Collapse substance is the core infusion material for their weapon forging. To this day, there is still a battle axe in the Abyss that even the Hecatoncheires cannot pull out. Its Strength Value, if Soren remembers correctly, should be around 45 points.

This power is enough to move mountains and fill seas!

There is a document in the underwater ruins that records some information about the Neutron Star Golem. It is only five meters tall, about the size of the Steel Golem, and weighs 300,000 tons. It is almost immune to any physical or Spell attacks. Only one was ever made during the entire Arcane Empire era. Due to some mistake, a continental shelf sinked, and the Neutron Star Golem disappeared completely. Only in the Legendary Golem manufacturing process will there be some records of the legend of the Neutron Star Golem.

Soren will definitely have to go to the Abyss again in the future.

Because the materials he needs to forge supernatural weapons can only be found in places like the Abyss, and the material from the Elemental Collapse can directly block many Spell attacks.

Because even Spell energy cannot penetrate it!

Time passed by little by little.

Soren showed remarkable patience, practicing the White Raven Swordplay regularly each day, then studying Spell construction, and occasionally honing his spellcasting skills. He had a premonition that he was about to master the [Spell Control] Feat. The Inn's attitude towards him became much friendlier, partly because of Gold Daler, and partly perhaps because she had become more familiar with him and felt that he was not the dangerous type.

In fact, Soren looks quite handsome.

When he's not in combat, he looks quiet and even a bit like a scholar.

The Elf Blacksmith's eyes were becoming increasingly bloodshot, and his excitement was growing. He even demanded that Soren purchase over a hundred Gold Daler's worth of special material, a liquid refined through Divine Magic Alchemy, used to forge holy weapons. Regardless of its nature, Soren bought it without hesitation, as his custom-made Scimitar was nearing completion.

Three days passed quickly.

The Elf Blacksmith had barely slept; his eyes were bloodshot. Two of his apprentices had already collapsed from exhaustion.

When Soren arrived on the fourth day, he finally showed a slight smile.

Clang!

A beautifully crafted Scimitar covered in tiny fish-scale patterns appeared before Soren's eyes. The hilt was plain, unlike Elf style, bearing only faint markings, somewhat like a blacksmith's unique mark. The blade had been unsealed overnight by the Elf Blacksmith, who glanced at Soren with a broad smile, then swung the blade directly at the anvil beside the Smelting Furnace!

Clang!

The felt was cut off at one corner, and the cut was nearly five centimeters thick.

The opponent didn't seem to use much force; they simply severed a corner of the felt, leaving the snow-white blade without any nicks or chips, looking exactly as it was before.

Armor Piercing!!!

Soren's pupils contracted sharply, his expression changed drastically, and he quickly walked over.

"Hahaha!" The Elf Blacksmith laughed maniacally, then presented the sleek, curved Scimitar to Soren.

Soren solemnly reached out and took the Scimitar, then bowed slightly in respect.

This is truly the ultimate forging of ordinary iron!

Only Armor Piercing attributes can achieve this effect; this is already close to the strongest Tier 1 weapon forging.

Item type: Scimitar +1 [Unenchanted]

Item Level: [Tier 1 Supernatural Item]

Item Description: A weapon made of Hundred-Layer Forged Steel, infused with other substances during forging. Scimitar forged using Elven Race Fish-scale Pattern Steel ingots and subjected to a second quenching process, making it superior to other weapons in all aspects of its attributes.

Equipment requirement: 12 or more points in Strength.

Equipment effect: Fish-scale Pattern Steel properties, +3 Sharpness, +3 Penetration, +1 Toughness, +1 Armor Piercing.

Soren's expression was somewhat agitated.

He ran his fingers lightly along the exquisite blade of the Scimitar, feeling the tiny fish-scale patterns rubbing against his fingertips. Soren flicked the blade with his finger, producing a crisp sound that seemed to possess a touch of magic, causing him to murmur involuntarily, "This sword is worthy of slaying Dragon Slayer!"

The Elf Blacksmith's weary eyes suddenly lit up, and he exclaimed excitedly, "That's right! It can definitely break through the Dragon Scale of a pure-blooded Dragon!"

"That's why I named it -- Dragon Slayer!"

Soren was suddenly dumbfounded.

As the blacksmith who forged this Scimitar, he certainly has the right to name it, but isn't this name a bit of a pain in the ass?

He suddenly felt an inexplicable urge to slap himself. (To be continued~^~)
