Divinity
(I took a nap this afternoon, so today's update will be a little late, only the third one.)
Divinity.
An extremely powerful force!
Deity has three core components: Divinity, Divine Rank, and Portfolio.
Divinity can be understood as [Divinity bloodline]. The bodies of Deity are in an energy form, not the flesh and blood of mortals. Therefore, Deity are virtually immune to fatal wounds, meaning they are immune to any lethal attack. Even when they fall into a state of semi-energy and become Avatar, they remain in a semi-energy form. Deity will not die immediately even if their heart is pierced, and they can even continue to survive without a heart. Therefore, many Divine Being are immune to Backstab. (Immune to fatal damage, but attacks on certain areas still have a critical strike effect, significantly increasing damage.)
Divinity is an extremely powerful bloodline force.
It can be bestowed upon believers by the Deity, or it can remain in the bodies of their offspring; its Divinity is of the same rank as that of Divine Rank.
They can be categorized as [Faint Divinity], [Moderate Divinity], [Medium Divinity], and [Greater Divinity].
One rank of Divinity grants a +1 to all attributes!
It is equivalent to the average attribute points gained from 12 job levels, and can also reduce any damage by 10%. Divine Power can negate any physical and Spell damage, and can also be stacked with the damage gained from Divine Rank level. The power of law will be integrated into the Divinity body. Under normal circumstances, Deity with Greater Divinity can negate about 90% of any damage.
Aside from the Demigod Lich, who can barely achieve around 90%-95% physical Damage Reduction by relying on their Undead bodies, no other creature can compare to the Greater Divinity Deity.
The power granted by Demon blood is a severely weakened form of Divinity bloodline.
The Abyss contains many powerful Demon who possess Divinity. Moreover, their level of Divinity is quite high, so even if they are not Archfiend, they are not afraid of powerful Deity.
Of course, the abilities granted by Divinity are not limited to these; Soren only knows the most basic ones.
Depending on their Divinity, they may possess additional spell-like Spell, Supernatural Ability, Plane laws, and so on. There are many beings that possess Greater Divinity but lack Divine Rank or Portfolio, such as Elemental Genie, Greater Demon, Hecatoncheires, and Godspawn. These Divine Being are typical examples of Divinity but lack Divine Rank status, let alone Portfolio or anything like that.
But they are in no way weaker than many Deity!
The Fear God Child certainly does not possess any Portfolio.
Portfolio is built upon the foundation of possessing Divine Rank. The divine Divine Rank of the Demon Lord of Fear remains in the Abyss, within His soul. What He distributes is His own Divinity and Divine Power. This Divine Power is like a barrel of refined gasoline; once it's used up, it's essentially gone. As long as the being who possesses the Divine Rank status continues to supply them with Divine Power, their Divine Power will be inexhaustible. If He cuts off the supply of Divine Power, the divine Divine Power of all the Fear God Child will rapidly decline.
Elf Ranger possess Divine Power and Divinity, but they lack Divine Rank and Portfolio.
The moment Soren killed him, the Divine Power transferred to Vivian, and logically, the Divinity should also have transferred to Vivian.
However, Divinity is a kind of soul-like energy, and when Deity Slaughter each other, they will also strip each other of their Divinity!
Therefore, Soren has now absorbed the Divinity into his body.
Don't assume this is a good thing. While Divinity can bring great power, it also contains the will of the Demon Lord of Fear, which can be simply understood as a fragment of the soul turning into Divine Essence.
Divine Power was gathered in a Godsbane.
Divinity also converged in a Godsbane.
The fragments of the Demon Lord of Fear's soul merged within the Godsbane's body, becoming a new Demon Lord of Fear's Soul Mark. His will would also transfer to the Godsbane, who had fused with a large amount of Divinity, ultimately Destruction the opponent's soul to reclaim all Divine Power and revive!
This is a battle of wills!
It is also the most challenging battlefield of wills in history, where many Deity, after defeating their opponents, had their own wills influenced by the Divinity of others.
There is an extremely difficult test of willpower involved in the process of fusing with Divinity!
If your will is stronger than the other's, the Divinity power will become entirely your power; if your will is weaker than the other's, then the other's remaining will will influence your consciousness, and may even seize control of it and resurrect. Among the Deity are many eccentric individuals, and their extreme personalities are the key to their being controlled by Divinity.
The remaining Divinity retains the core will of the original Deity, such as the power of the Divinity of Lust. Deity who wielded this Divinity of Lust throughout history were capricious and indulged in various pleasures, enjoying doing things that were incomprehensible to others. These Deity fell and took their places generation after generation, but the Avatar they ultimately manifested all had similar personalities, because they were influenced by the residual power of their Divinity.
The most extreme Divinity will accumulates layer upon layer; the more Deity one has possessed, the more extreme emotions and preferences accumulate.
That's why so many mad Deity have appeared!
Merging with Divinity is a clash of wills. If Soren can suppress the will left by the Demon Lord of Fear within Divinity, then he can transform the power of Divinity.
If he fails, his consciousness will gravitate towards the Demon, and he may even be controlled by it!
It's very dangerous.
It's very tempting!
The path from mortal to Deity is destined to be fraught with Thorn; without great determination and perseverance, one cannot reach the end.
Many Legendary Wizard dared not be deified because they could not suppress their Divinity will.
They fear a drastic change in their personality, fear amplifying and exacerbating certain emotions, and even more so, fear gradually losing themselves—a fatal flaw for professionals like Wizard!
They already possess long lifespans and immense power, so why would they risk everything to become gods?
Stepping into the realm of the Deity is like entering the battlefield of the Gods!
You ten years ago, you ten years later. Your personality is constantly changing, and your behavior is gradually altering. It is precisely because of this constant change that everything is endless.
From naivety and immaturity to maturity and composure, from frivolous behavior to worldly wisdom.
The greatest danger to Divinity is not change, but whether you can hold fast to your true self in this clash of wills and not let your true soul lose its way.
Even Deity can go mad if they lose themselves in power!
There are many such Deity, especially those who attained godhood through luck. In the end, they all had eccentric personalities. Therefore, many Legendary Wizard were afraid. Throughout history, the number of people who were deified as Wizard could be counted on one hand.
Soren is not in a suitable state to absorb Divinity.
Although he was confident in his will, he was not arrogant enough to believe that he could completely suppress the Demon Lord of Fear!
but.
If he successfully suppressed these three points of Divine Power, then the will of the Demon Lord of Fear would have been completely destroyed. In other words, the Soul Mark that He intended to resurrect in the body of the Godsbane would have been partially lost. No matter which Godsbane He intended to revive in the future, He would be significantly weakened in the final confrontation of wills, because a part of His soul had been completely devoured and fused with by Soren.
The Divine Power resides within Vivian, while the Divinity lies with Soren.
Although Vivian's power was weakened, part of the test of will she faced was transferred to Soren!
Following the normal procedure.
The stronger the Divine Power of the Fear God Child, the more Divinity gathers within her, and the more susceptible she becomes to influences. However, the current situation is that while Vivian's Divine Power has doubled, her Divinity remains the same.
Soren felt as if he had found a way to fight the Demon Lord of Fear.
If all Divine Power is transferred to Vivian, and all her Divinity is suppressed, then the plan to resurrect the Demon Lord of Fear will have failed halfway.
Vivian possessed immense Divine Power, yet she was unaffected by Divinity.
The final result is a balance: if the Demon Lord of Fear weighs more, the Divine Rank Fear will shift to Him; if Vivian weighs more, the Divine Rank Fear will shift to her, because the Demon Lord of Fear's own Divinity has also disappeared and dispersed.
Soren seemed to have cleared his mind as if the clouds had parted to reveal the sun.
His expression was icy, and his eyes burned with murderous intent, for he had found a way for a mortal to fight against the Demon Lord of Fear.
That means he'll be the one to kill the other surviving Fear God Child!!!
kill.
This is what Soren excels at.
Killing for Vivian. That's the most normal thing to do.
Just as a little girl might raise her head without hesitation and say, "If you kill someone, I'll help you set fires," Soren killed those Fear God Child for Vivian without any hesitation.
The night passed just like that.
As dawn broke, Soren took out a Longsword and began practicing the White Raven Swordplay. His combat skills were honed through years of hard work. Mastering such advanced techniques required relentless dedication. Feat could enhance the speed of learning combat skills, but they couldn't directly grant one those skills.
Rogue is not an impulsive person.
Soren is not the kind of reckless idiot; he needs more planning and more strength.
One hour.
He finished practicing a set of White Raven Swordplay. The slow movements looked a bit awkward and lacked any sense of style. It was as if a single movement had been broken down into dozens of parts, making it look extremely stiff and devoid of any fluidity, handsomeness, or dashing grace. White Raven Swordplay are second only to the Cross Swordsmanship Technique in terms of style, exuding a cool, aloof, and sharp edge. The fact that Soren had mastered it to this extent only shows how dedicated he was.
Because he learned the military version of the White Raven Swordplay.
After getting up, the Inn watched for a while, then boiled a pot of hot water and brought it over solicitously.
Soren gave a slight thank you and then washed himself.
His muscles, sculpted like steel, drew a second glance. Many in this era possessed strong physiques, some with muscle contours far more exaggerated than Soren's, but few were as well-proportioned and muscular as him. Especially his smaller muscle groups—though the Inn didn't know much, she recognized them only on skilled Adventurer.
This represents explosive power, as well as a strong ability to balance and coordinate!
Rogue rarely have large, well-defined muscles. They appear lean, but once you take off their clothes, you'll find that their bodies are made up of well-developed small muscles. Their fighting skills rely on balance and coordination, and when they move, they unleash more than just the large muscles in their chest, arms, and legs.
The more one pursues balance and coordination, the more pronounced the smaller muscle groups become; the more one pursues explosive power, the more exaggerated the large muscle groups become. A typical example is the Barbarian, whose arm muscles are as thick as the legs of other people. This represents their main focus in strength training.
The latter is obvious at a glance, while the former you can only discover during a battle!
After quickly washing up and eating, Soren headed towards the Blacksmith to check on the progress of the Scimitar; a suitable weapon was more important than any other Supernatural Equipment.
kill.
It mainly relies on the knife. (To be continued~^~)
