The Queen's Heir
The Frost Pteranodon is very large.
The male weighed over three tons, and the other two were around two tons each, so Soren could only pack them up as much as possible and choose the best spots to bring them back. A normal adventure would involve five or six people, which would be enough to transport all the valuables back. There were no Artifact Ring with Infinite Space in this world; the closest Soren had ever seen to Artifact- level items were thirty-foot storage gloves and rings. Among all professions, only Legendary mages could store items without limit, followed by powerful Deity, because they could create Dimensional Space.
Unless you create your own space, the space for Supernatural Equipment is very small.
Soren was covered in blood. He rested for a moment, straightened his clothes, and then snapped his fingers. The bloodstains gradually disappeared, though a faint smell of blood lingered. 0-level Spell are very practical Cantrip, often solving troublesome problems. In Wilderness Adventure, Rogue are the dirtiest because they can't care about appearances when scouting and exploring; they have to lie prone when necessary, even crouching and sneaking through muddy ground covered in Stealth. Next in line are Warrior and Ranger, who sometimes have to fill in as well. The only one in the party who always looks dashing is the mage, who is always clean and tidy.
Sometimes Dwarf can be the dirtiest; with their short arms and legs, they might fall into pits, especially those Dwarf heavy Warrior who are overconfident in their jumping abilities.
With a thud.
You might find a surprise when you turn around!
Soren had almost finished disposing of the Pteranodon's carcass. The stench of blood seemed to have attracted the attention of some creatures, and Soren thought he vaguely heard some sounds coming from the wind. He glanced at the cliff before him and then began to collect his most important spoils: the Dragon Egg placed inside the Dragon Nest. Their value was uncertain; they could be extremely valuable, or they might just be good for eating, as taming Dragonkind was incredibly difficult.
Currently, only those near Dragon City possess the skill to tame Draconic creatures; no one else can do it.
Many creatures are wild and untamed, especially those with innate racial genetic memories. In the last hundred years, the best executors of Dragonkind abilities have been the Drow of the Underdark. Their method is simple and brutal; all they need is a male pureblood Dragon. It would be extremely difficult for other species to accomplish this.
The cliff face is very smooth on all sides, and the Subspecies Dragonkind has high requirements for their nests.
These cliffs had been sprayed with their Frost Breath, and were covered with a layer of ice nearly three centimeters thick. Soren touched them; they were incredibly slippery, and he couldn't climb them at all. However, he wasn't entirely without options. Soren pulled out Dagger and stabbed it into the slippery cliff face. He then used this dagger to slowly climb upwards, quickly reaching a height close to three stories. With a push off the cliff, he leaped into the Dragon Nest.
Inside the nest were three white Dragon Egg, about the size of a basketball, half of which were buried in ice.
There are special requirements for hatching Dragon Egg.
Soren also found a small pile of Gold Daler's inside the Dragon Nest, likely from when the Frost Pteranodon attacked other creatures. Collecting treasures is in the nature of Dragonkind, and they also hoard glittering items. Most of these were low-value trinkets, some even damaged, but some minerals were visible, including Crystal, amber, Agate, and a fist-sized natural gold nugget. Subspecies Dragonkind sometimes attack Kobold, and some of their spoils are carried into their lair.
Soren took out some of the Dragon Meat and threw it away, then turned around and put the gold nuggets and gems inside. The contents of this place were probably worth two or three thousand Gold Daler.
Finally, there were three Dragon Egg. He tapped them with his finger to check for movement. Then he held them up to the sunlight; there was no sign of any living creature inside. It seemed they hadn't been laying eggs for long, and the Dragon Egg were still a long way from hatching. These Dragon Egg were edible, considered a top-notch delicacy, and not poisonous at all.
Subspecies Dragon Egg cannot be stored for long periods of time and have specific environmental temperature requirements.
Soren put the two into the container and then returned along the same path. He vaguely heard the voice of Troll, though he wasn't sure if it was just his imagination. However, there were indeed quite a few Ice Troll in the Land of Ice and Snow.
That thing is even harder to deal with than Pteranodon!
Princess Anna visibly relaxed when she saw Soren return, patting her chest with her small hand and saying, "You're finally back! I heard the noise over there and almost wanted to go check it out!..."
It's a good thing you didn't come.
Soren raised his hand, waving the Dragon Egg in his hand, and said with a raised eyebrow, "Please have a taste."
He cracked open the Dragon Egg with the hilt of his knife. The shell was quite sturdy. He then took out a spoon and stirred it inside, pouring in a small bag of flour, followed by fine salt, and stirred again. Dragon Egg can be roasted directly over a fire; once cooked, they are similar to hard-boiled eggs and taste quite delicious. He used to peel and eat them this way often. Subspecies Dragonkind are widely distributed and can be found almost all over the world. High-level Adventurer have all eaten Dragon Egg, and even purebred ones sometimes roast and eat them. [The survival rate of Dragon Egg is only one in ten.]
Princess Anna seemed somewhat worried. She pointed a slender, pale finger at Soren and whispered, "I think I'm starting to hear some noise from the north."
movement?
Soren went to the southwest; any movement to the north was caused by other creatures.
His expression turned slightly grave. After securing the Dragon Egg, he jumped onto a rock and peered out, but couldn't see anything. He then landed and said slowly, "It might be Ice Troll. We'll go around it. We'll stay on the mountainside for two days, then cross the mountains and head towards the sea. The Torment Cultist probably wouldn't guess you could cross these mountains. We can go around to Arendelle from there."
Princess Anna stood up and looked at the distant, rolling mountains, murmuring, "Can we get over there? There's no road there! Many places are simply impassable."
"Yes." Soren fiddled with the Dragon Egg and said in a deep voice, "So I have to learn a Spell first."
Princess Anna looked surprised, her eyes widening as she asked, "You're Wizard?"
nonsense.
Soren didn't answer the question. After roasting the Dragon Egg, he broke it open and sliced it with his Scimitar. Adventurer weren't so particular; a knife that had just been used to kill someone could still be used to cut meat. He handed the other half to Princess Anna and said in a deep voice, "Eat it all. This will temporarily enhance your cold resistance, and the energy will be enough to last you for two or three days."
A small number of foods can improve one's condition; these are extremely rare, and the Dragon Egg in front of us is one of them.
Alchemy potions that enhance resistance are all made from these materials.
The two silently ate their fill, and Princess Anna's bruises seemed to have lessened considerably from eating the Dragon Egg. She had largely regained her mobility, but as Soren prepared to leave, she blushed slightly and leaned against him, then climbed onto his back. Soren didn't pay much attention to this; he hoisted the girl onto his back and headed southeast, intending to traverse the rugged mountain path. Having agreed to take her back, he couldn't back out halfway; Soren valued his promises.
Half a day passed quickly.
They found an abandoned cave, which appeared to be Northland Bear's den, and it smelled terrible.
Princess Anna was a bit dirty, mainly from the cleaning process. Apart from her pretty and clean face, she no longer exuded the noble air of a princess. The young girl adapted quite well, even knowing to tidy herself up, since they would be staying here for a few days.
Soren set two animal traps and a simple warning trap.
Perhaps his skills had become a bit rusty, because it took him more than half an hour to finish it. His style still leans towards a combat-oriented Rogue, and he rarely spends a lot of time studying trap devices.
The main issue is that the enemy might not step on it during combat, requiring a significant amount of time to prepare in advance.
It was getting dark.
Soren lit a candle and opened Spell Scroll, occasionally jotting down notes with a quill pen. He cut a stone into a simple platform. Beside him sat Princess Anna, her head tilted to the side. She wiped her clothes with snow, her hair styled in pigtails, and sat quietly. Her face was slightly flushed, perhaps from eating the Dragon Egg, possibly due to the energy from the Dragon Egg accelerating her blood flow, or perhaps for some other effect.
The girl seemed to be quite adept at handling monotonous tasks.
Her patience must be quite remarkable, because she was able to watch Soren analyze the Spell for a full two or three hours.
A princess's life can actually be quite boring.
Especially for a powerful princess like her, destined to manage the kingdom, while other princesses leisurely enjoy themselves, she spends most of her time reading. Books are the most important source of knowledge in this world, and she needs to learn about various aspects such as law, literature, religion, etiquette, art, geography, etc. Sometimes, her learning tasks are even heavier than those of the Frost Witch.
Princesses who grow up to obediently marry into the Royal Family family certainly don't need to learn these things, because their very purpose isn't in this. But Princess Anna is one of the two jewels of Arendelle, and upon reaching adulthood, she will be responsible for at least half of the kingdom's affairs, ruling over an estimated number of millions of people. She needs to assist the Princess in handling national affairs, and as a future ruler, simply indulging in play and pleasure is certainly not enough.
Although she was a princess, she received an education befitting a prince.
If nothing unexpected happens.
The future ruler of Arendelle will be her child, because the incredibly powerful Princess is almost unmatched by any man, and she may even become Deity- like being.
The Princess certainly has the qualifications to be deified; if Princess is, she will be the next Her Majesty the Queen of Arendelle.
The throne will be inherited by her bloodline.
Although she lacks experience and seems a bit childish and immature, she is still very young, a fifteen or sixteen-year-old girl, and you can't expect too much from her.
