Going home
Time passed by day by day.
Princess Anna no longer resembled a princess; she looked like a pretty girl living in the mountains. It turned out that even a princess couldn't always appear so noble. She even learned to make her bed and use melted snow to wash clothes. She kept the cave spotless; she seemed to have a slight obsession with cleanliness, liking to arrange things neatly. Sometimes, strange thoughts would even pop into her head, such as whether they would have a litter of Monkey if they continued living in the mountains.
All right.
These are merely some absurd fantasies of teenage girls.
At first, she worried that Soren might do something to her, because she was a princess, not an idiot, and wouldn't imagine the world to be too beautiful. But it turned out she was indeed overthinking it. Soren was more chivalrous than any knight she had ever met, even though his true identity was a Rogue and part-time Wizard. Occasionally, she would crouch down and curl up next to Soren. The budding emotions of a young girl were hard to discern, but she felt that this made her feel much more at ease and allowed her to sleep more soundly.
In fact.
Soren rarely rested, and his eyes were bloodshot.
He seemed like Steel Golem never needed rest, spending almost all his time Spell and practicing Spell. Princess Anna didn't know why he worked so hard, but there must be something driving him to do so. Occasionally, the girl would think that it was to get her back to Arendelle as soon as possible, which undoubtedly warmed her heart, as if something was about to burst forth. Although she longed to go back as soon as possible, Princess Anna tried her best not to show her anxiety and worry.
She believed this would increase the pressure on Soren. She even felt that Soren was pushing himself too hard.
He needs rest.
He is a very responsible person, but he also needs rest.
Even towards the end, she was worried about what she would do if Soren collapsed from exhaustion!
As a young girl who had not yet officially come of age, Princess Anna felt a void in her heart whenever she thought about this, as if she had lost an important support.
The only person who had ever given her this feeling before was the Princess. She had always believed that as long as her Elder Sister was around, there was nothing to be afraid of.
She has matured.
Although she is still pretty and cute, and is only a girl under sixteen years old, she has already tried to make changes.
She learned to clean, to do laundry, and even to cook. Her fair and slender fingers became rough, and her once delicate, translucent skin cracked from the cold of the snow. She dared not show Soren the frostbite marks, and sometimes, looking at them herself, she couldn't help but want to cry. Because she was just a young girl, of course she wanted to see herself beautiful, so that when her future husband kissed the back of her hand, his lips would touch the smoothest skin in the world, not those glaring frostbite marks.
But she also felt very fulfilled.
These kinds of days sometimes make her feel like she's really grown up.
Yes.
She was still the princess of Arendelle, one of the two most dazzling jewels. Her hands weren't as beautiful as before, and her clothes were worn and tattered, still somewhat dirty even after being washed with snow water. Her hair was simply tied in a ponytail with a white ribbon torn from her clothes. She had removed her exquisite and expensive jewelry, wearing only the earrings her mother had left her. Occasionally, she would sit by the cave, lost in thought, her wandering mind conjuring up some absurd ideas that, upon reflection, weren't so bad.
These thoughts sometimes made her blush and her heart race, and she would Dodge looking at Soren.
In fact, she is very busy.
She has now learned to cut meat with a knife, how to build a campfire, how much salt to add when cooking, and how to make food more delicious by adding extra seasonings. She has even learned needlework. Actually, she already knew needlework. Because she is a princess, she is expected to be very virtuous, good at managing a household, noble, and so on—basically, the kind of person described with many positive adjectives. Princesses receive a very comprehensive education, which certainly includes needlework and embroidery.
Previously, I would just use it to pass the time when I was bored, or to embroider some exquisite gifts for my Elder Sister in my spare time.
She is actually mending clothes now.
She was a princess, the jewel of Arendelle. Even in patched clothes, she still looked beautiful, but looking at her chapped little hands, her eyes would well up with tears.
It hurts a lot.
Soren has gone mad.
Perhaps because of his previous ascetic practice, he seemed to become somewhat obsessed when he focused on something.
His speed in learning Spell is simply insane!
1st-level Spell would take an ordinary Wizard nearly a month to complete, but he only took one night and one morning. In the following days, his mind was filled with incredibly complex Spell Formula. He completed the Spell structure for Levitate on the third day at noon, and then completed the Spell structure for Fly on the fifth day.
He learned three Spell in just five and a half days!
Time passed faster than expected; by the time Soren had memorized the Fly, his eyes were bloodshot.
The long-awaited notification finally appeared.
After constant practice of Levitate, Soren finally mastered the [Spell Control] Feat.
Having mastered Spell Control, Soren had met the requirements to Wizard Class Level. He eagerly raised his Wizard to level 6, gaining an extra attribute point and a Feat Point.
I've held back until now for [Spell Control], because this Feat is a prerequisite for many Metamagic Feat.
"Wizard class upgraded to level 6."
"Gain 25 Skill Point (Intelligence 20 + (Intelligence 20 - 10) * 0.5), and increase Hit Points by 10 points (Class Hit Points 4 + (Constitution 21 - 10) * 0.5)."
"Gain one Free Attribute Point."
"Gain a Feat Point."
So undoubtedly allocated his attribute points to Agility, and then invested all his Skill Point into Knowledge.
He has finally met the requirements to master a Metamagic Feat.
A list of Feat information appeared before my eyes:
"Combat Casting [Mastery]: Wizard gradually improve their abilities through long-term training, so that even when attacked in combat, their Spell will not be easily interrupted. As this ability improves, Wizard can still successfully cast spells even when directly attacked. When this ability reaches a certain level, some part-time Wizard can even cast spells while fighting. However, this may require the combination of the [Silent Spell] and [Quicken Spell] Feat. [Focus +10]."
"Mobile Spellcasting [Mastery]: Wizard, under special training, can Mobile Spellcasting while Dodge. They can move and dodge without interrupting their casting process. Furthermore, as their Feat level increases, Wizard can cast spells while flying and moving at high speed. This is one of the essential abilities for high-level Wizard; otherwise, casting will fail when using Fly. [Focus +5]"
"Empower Spell [Metamagic Feat]: After mastering Spell, Wizard can use unique medium magic techniques to increase the power of their Spell. Using these techniques will increase the 1st-level Spell and increase the Spell's power by 50%. When memorizing Spell using the Metamagic Feat, the Wizard needs to spend more time memorizing it; however, casting the spell is no different from casting the original Spell." (Feat for [Maximize Spell] fetish)
"Spell Penetration [Metamagic Feat]: Wizard gain a deep understanding of their own power, which enhances the penetrating power of their Spell. Whether damaging or controlling Spell Spell the Wizard an additional 2 points of spell power when any spell strength is applied. Enemies must have a higher Saving Throw throw to resist their Spell." (Feat for [Greater Spell Penetration] fetter)
The first two Feat are basic Feat; they will remain as long as you haven't mastered them.
Soren was interested in the latter two Metamagic Feat Metamagic Feat. The first was [Empower Spell], which increases the power of Spell by 50%. The second was [Metamagic Feat Spell Penetration], which increases the difficulty of Saving Throw Spell. For example, with ' Magic Missile ', Empower Spell would increase its power by half, and with ' Charm Person ', Spell Penetration would increase the difficulty of Saving Throw by 2 points.
These are two routes.
The first is a crucial skill for turret-based tactics; a 50% damage bonus is quite impressive. The second is a core skill for control-based tactics; whether it's Charm, control, or lethal Spell, this Feat is essential for Saving Throw throws.
Soren didn't hesitate for long.
He chose [Empower Spell], the Metamagic Feat that provided the most significant boost to him. Especially after his spellcasting level increased, the power of five Magic Missile was equivalent to that of 7.5 Magic Missile.
If he could just master the [Combat Casting] Feat, he could also 'biubiubiu'...!
Now that I've learned Fly, it's time for me to leave.
Princess Anna, though eager to fly back to Arendelle, couldn't help but glance back at the cave before leaving. She had cleaned it up thoroughly, but wondered what creatures would ultimately benefit from it. As she departed, Soren saw the footprints of the Ice Troll, heading towards the opposite mountain peak; it seemed the Frost Pteranodon carcasses he had left behind had been taken advantage of. However, the well-fed Ice Troll didn't seem to bother the two.
The snow was still falling.
Princess Anna embarked on her journey home today, gazing at Soren beside her, her beautiful eyelashes trembling slightly.
