Wizard Tower.

An invisible figure was slowly advancing. No one knew how it had infiltrated the Wizard Tower; Goria only discovered it after it reached the second floor. The figure moved cautiously along the walls. No one would underestimate the power of Wizard Tower, especially given its various traps and mechanisms. No one knew how many dangerous devices those ruthless Wizards Council have installed within; even Legendary were somewhat apprehensive about it.

Click!

A slight noise was heard, and an invisible figure pried open a door and then carefully went inside.

The opponent's basic skills were very high; he moved almost silently and could easily open complex Magic locks. However, just as he stepped through the door, a heavy thud came from the wall, and a solid stone door suddenly collapsed. Heavy footsteps echoed from behind the passage, and the enormous figure of the Steel Golem slowly approached. A mechanism was activated on the right side of the passage, and a deadly green beam of light shot out from it.

--"Disintegrate!"

The matter struck by the green light dissipated instantly, decomposing into its most basic material structure. The figure that had infiltrated the Wizard Tower trembled, seemingly suffering considerable damage. Disintegrate can potentially inflict up to 240 points of Spell damage; if Fortitude Save throw is missed, it could disintegrate a living person on the spot. Even with Saving Throw throw, Disintegrate will still inflict around 30 points of corrosive damage, potentially disintegrating parts of the body.

The top of the Wizard Tower.

Goria looked puzzled, her brows furrowing slightly. "He was able to infiltrate my Wizard Tower? How could he not evade the Disintegrate? Where are his Legendary Item?"

A Legendary- level Stalker couldn't possibly be without Legendary Item.

Furthermore, regardless of their class, Stalker will acquire special shadow techniques that can resist Spell damage, so there's no need to directly tank Disintegrate. Unless you're absolutely confident in your Constitution resilience, you could be instantly disintegrated, as this is a lethal Spell whose fatality is determined by the Spell's energy.

"Wrong!"

Goria frowned and said in a deep voice, "Activate the Energy Laser Beam!"

A Spell gem device was activated, and a red Energy Laser Beam appeared. It sliced through the passage at incredible speed, striking the Stalker instantly. The stalker's body was cut in two in a flash, but no blood flowed. The severed body emerged as a figure wearing a black cloak and a mask, with a distinctive Crest on his chest: a pale hand rising from the ground. All around were graves of white bones.

"Not good!"

Goria's expression changed drastically. She instantly activated some kind of device, her figure enveloped in a Protection from Energy, and murmured, "Hand of Despair!? What Spell-like Ability is this? Shadow Avatar? True Image? Or Simulacrum?"

A cold glint appeared behind her.

A strange figure suddenly rushed in from hundreds of meters above the Wizard Tower. Its form twisted for a moment before it passed through the Wizard Tower's Energy Protection Shield and smashed through a window into the room. The figure had actually been hovering hundreds of meters above the Wizard Tower until it found its location. Then, using a special Cross-planar Travel Technique, it broke through the Protection from Energy shield and entered the tower through the window.

A dark Dagger appeared, and the faint wails of the Wraith echoed through the air!

--"Spell Trigger!"

--"Spell Sequencer!"

--"Contingency!"

--"Ring of Energy Protection!"

Six Spell Aura appeared around Goria, and Protection from Energy Force Field opened up. Simultaneously, her figure vanished from her spot, reappearing ten meters away with a blink Spell. The shadowy figure chasing her also vanished instantly, a peculiar domain power enveloping the room. Then, it reappeared behind Goria, violently thrusting Dagger towards her heart. The Spell barriers shattered like eggshells as the Dagger struck the weakest point in the Protection from Energy Force Field. At the instant of contact, one Spell was dispelled. The next moment, the Dagger pierced Goria's heart.

A gush of blood spurted out.

Goria's face was deathly pale. The Deflection Force Field caused the Dagger to shift slightly, and although it didn't pierce her heart, it still severely injured her. Her opponent's strength was even more astonishing than she had imagined!

--"Weakness Insight!"

This is a Legendary Assassin whose professional level is close to 25.

The toxin's power began to take effect.

Goria seemed to be trying to cast a spell, but the poison interrupted the process, and a trickle of blood spilled from the corner of her mouth. The blood was already Sisi black.

Cross-planar Jump, Shadow Domain, Shadow Shift, Shadow Assassination, Deadly Poison, Weakness Insight, and True Image.

In an instant.

Goria was filled with despair, for her opponent was the legendary ' Hand of Despair,' a top Assassin who had entered the Legendary Domain over a century ago and had even successfully assassinated Legendary Wizard. Although Goria possessed a high Witch class level, she had not mastered Ninth-Circle Spell. She could not cast ' Chain Contingency ' on herself, nor did she have time to cast other high-level Spell. Her opponent did not give her a moment to cast a spell; the black Dagger flashed coldly and pierced towards her throat.

From the very beginning until now, the other party has never intended to infiltrate the Wizard Tower. That Project Image was merely meant to alert her and then locate Goria's position within the Wizard Tower.

This is a Legendary Assassin with considerable experience!

Death has arrived.

Goria's eyes were filled with despair. As a core member of the Northern Witches Council, she had never been so disheveled or so powerless.

Legendary Assassin at level 25—that hasn't happened in almost a century, has it?

Why would he assassinate himself?

Vivian?!

Where is she now? The Wizard Tower is no match for someone like her!

Unless she also advances to the realm of a Legendary Wizard, without Time Stop Spell or Epic Spell of the ninth ring or higher, there is simply no way she can contend with such an existence. Keep in mind that the current leader of the Witches' Council, the ' Eye of the North,' is only a level 24 Northern Witch; her class level might not even be higher than the Legendary Assassin before her!

This is a professional qualified to enter the realm of the Deity.

The moment of death felt so long. Just as Goria was preparing to await her fate, the black Dagger suddenly stopped in front of her. A look of horror flashed in the masked Assassin's eyes, and then he vanished in an instant, transforming into a black shadow and teleporting fifteen meters away. Goria collapsed from exhaustion. She instantly activated a certain item to temporarily suppress the poison in her body, while glancing towards the door.

Vivian appeared here.

She wore a white princess dress and looked so cute and charming. Her small body floated in mid-air, but her pupils had turned blood red, and behind her were Demon wings that had spread out.

Her expression was so strange.

It appeared as if she were smiling, but a hint of wickedness lurked at the corners of her mouth. It was an expression full of Taunt, a playful, and wicked laughter, completely different from the Vivian she remembered.

"Tsk tsk!"

Vivian stepped quietly into the room, glanced at the heavily injured Goria beside her, then turned her gaze to the Hand of Despair her, and said with a playful tone, "Finally decided to let me out? If you hadn't let me out Goria Elder Sister would have died!... But it doesn't matter if she dies!... We can reshape her soul into a new body!... Do you think it's better to become Banshee or Succubus?...

Goria's face was pale, and she murmured, "Vivian!... What's wrong?...?"

The little girl slowly turned around, raising her small, white hand to brush her long hair aside. A strange tattoo could be seen below her earlobe. She gazed at Goria with amusement, and said Taunt, "I'm not Vivian. My name is Lillian, the Fear Witch— [Lillian]!"

"I've been silently watching that useless girl for eight years. Even after absorbing such a massive amount of Divine Power, she's still just as useless."

"But I want to thank you."

"If you hadn't been in danger, she might not have been willing to let me out."

"Finally free!!!"

Vivian's small figure hovered in mid-air, taking a deep breath as if enjoying it, her small hands outstretched as if she felt the joy of freedom, even the Demon wings behind her trembled slightly. Then she turned to look at the Hand of Despair before her. A glimmer of Divinity appeared in her crimson pupils. A cruel smile appeared on her lips, and she sneered, "Now that you're out, according to my agreement with that idiot, I'm going to kill you, you annoying fly!..."

"He's very trustworthy!... Just like my brother in that respect!... Unlike that useless guy!... He has such immense power but couldn't even protect his brother!... He's a complete useless idiot and moron!... He's just a total burden!..."

The little girl's speech seemed to have a rhythmic intonation, like that of a willful, unruly, and rebellious teenager.

But she was only eight years old!

That expression, tone, and attitude are hard to describe in words.

If Soren were here, there would probably only be one adjective he could think of: -- immature and childish!

A cruel smile appeared on Vivian's lips. She raised her small, white hand and clenched it, and a Radiance of Divinity appeared in her pupils. Then, a vast Divine Power erupted from her, enveloping everything within a radius of thirty meters.

She stared coldly at the Hand of Despair before her, her expression grave, and said, "Fear Domain!"

"Time Stop!"

The surrounding space froze completely at that moment.

(P. S.: Only two updates today. I overslept during the day, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow for the third update. I was so tired after finishing some parts of this book that I slept for half a day straight. I wonder if everyone else feels like this after finishing their work?) (To be continued~^~)
