Deep Sea Behemoth
Soren is not afraid of death!
But he would never go to his death; in a battle where he had absolutely no chance of winning, he would simply run as far away as possible.
If it were merely Legendary- level opponent, he could still put up a fight after Change Shape the Slayer. However, the Son of Dagon before him was Godsbane, a Demigod- level challenger, and this was happening on the opponent's home turf in the ocean. In the ocean's home turf, even a Quasi-Legendary Deep Sea Behemoth could be treated as a Legendary monster. Even the Avatar of the Goddess of the Sea couldn't kill it, Soren didn't believe these people could be stronger than the Goddess of the Sea's Avatar.
However, to his surprise, the Priest of the Sea had even summoned a pure-blooded Hydra.
This thing is something extraordinary!
The legend of the Hydra is prevalent throughout the Multiverse. It is a Extraplanar species that can be found in the Material Plane, the Abyss, the elemental realm, the Baator Hell, and many other places. The Hydra and its offspring can be found in Middle Earth legends, which date back to Ancient Era. However, at that time, it was called 'Xiangliu 'Hydra.
"[Xiangliu], with the body of a snake and nine heads, devours countless people, turning every place it goes into a swamp."
Xiangliu's breath was poisonous; touching it was fatal, and eating it was incurable. Xiangliu's blood was also highly poisonous, killing not only living creatures but also rendering the land barren and polluting everything it touched. In the end Xiangliu was killed by Dayu. Legend has it that with the combined power of the gods, a high platform was built to suppress it, and the polluted land was split into three passes and three sinkholes, turning them into pools.
I won't give examples of the Hydra, the Hydra from Western legends.
The above paragraph can also be applied to the monster before us. The Hydra in this world possess extremely potent venom; their breath is classified as Dragon Breath. Their blood is a highly poisonous liquid, and their nine heads can regrow if they don't die. Wherever the Hydra have ravaged, the Change Terrain, turning into swamps, and their blood pollutes the earth, rendering the land barren for a long period.
Pureblood Hydra are even more difficult to deal with than Dragon!
There are three main branches of Ocean Behemoth.
The first major branch consists of the [Tentacle-type] type of Ocean Behemoth, namely the Ancient Demon ' Dagon ' from the Abyss, who is the king of Sea Monster. The second major branch consists of the [Multi-headed type] type of Ocean Behemoth, whose ruler is the Mother of Hydras- headed Hydra and the Mother of Deep Sea Beasts. This Mother of Hydras is a special Demigod. Although she does not have a clear Portfolio, she is a servant of the Goddess of the Sea. However, her true form does not reside in the Material Plane, but rather in the Goddess of the Sea's God's Realm.
As for the third major branch...
Soren still prefers to call them the "Dinosaur-type," the most dangerous and powerful of all the Ocean Monster. The most representative of them is "Godzilla," though the native inhabitants of this world don't call it that; "Godzilla" is merely a name used among Player. The natives call this terrifying monster—"Godspawn"!
That's right.
It is a living, Godspawn.
In a remote region beyond the mainland, there dwells a Deity known as the ' Father of Dinosaurs,' a Deity of Greater Divinity who once clashed with the Lord of Storms. He attempts to create a Godsbane of his own, not a mortal like the Fear God Child, but Deity Godsbane born from the direct union of Deity. Such a being is born Deity, but due to certain laws, is highly likely to die at birth. If he dies, then what is born is a [Godspawn].
This is the origin of the [Dinosaur-type] Deep Sea Behemoth.
Although Soren joined the battle head-on, he showed no intention of getting close to the Son of Dagon.
He would never enter the battlefield of the Demigod Sea Monster. In fact, to ensure sufficient distance, Soren deliberately let the pirates in front of him escape before launching his attack. The arrival of the Hydra undoubtedly attracted the absolute attention of the Son of Dagon. Facing Deep Sea Behemoth of equal caliber, it gradually retracted all its tentacles. The Shark-man dispersed to both sides, and Tiger Shark formed an encirclement and surged forward.
The Naga Priestess didn't seem to have any intention of staying in the center of the battlefield between the two Ocean Behemoth.
Her original Warship had been destroyed, so now she could only approach the Ghost Ship, then suddenly grabbed the hull and leaped onto the deck.
"Gosalu will deal with the Son of Dagon!"
The Naga Priestess gave Soren a deep look, then said in a solemn voice, "We must leave the rest behind. There is an important offering to the Goddess of the Sea!"
If Soren hadn't mentioned this monster, she might not have summoned the Hydra.
However, it seems that Soren was right after all.
The Shark-man were still quite capable in naval battles, but sinking those warships was difficult. The Undead on the Speaker of the Dead began to move, their dark, tattered sails billowing. Soren activated the Ghost Sail on the ship. The Speaker of the Dead accelerated, shooting out like an arrow, quickly catching up with the retreating Storm Pirate. On the other side, the Deep Sea Hydra was already engaged in battle with the Son of Dagon. Facing hundreds of tentacles that Constrict, its nine heads were taking turns gnawing them off one by one. What was extremely venomous to others seemed like a delicacy to the Deep Sea Hydra. Six of its heads were on the surface dealing with the tentacles, while the other three heads submerged underwater to attack.
Waves of enormous waves began to spread!
The battle between the two colossal Deep Sea Monster created waves tens of meters high, crashing in all directions like City Wall. Soren's retreat was undoubtedly the right move. Some Shark-man were swept away by the waves, and even the Tiger Shark were sent flying hundreds of meters into the air. Don't think that falling into the water is safe; these Shark-man had to undergo a very difficult Constitution assessment when they fell into the sea, otherwise they would be knocked unconscious upon impact with the Seawater.
A massive, dark shadow made direct contact!
Both Deep Sea Behemoth had descended to the seabed, and streams of blood spread out, some from the Son of Dagon, and some from the Deep Sea Hydra.
Chunks of Rake flesh spread across the Seawater, and massive waves and undercurrents surged in all directions. Shark-man and Tiger Shark that had gotten too close, before they could escape, began to rot and rot from contact with the blood of the two Deep Sea Behemoth. Soon, several unlucky creatures perished in the spreading blood. Without a certain level of strength, even approaching their fighting range was suicidal, and sometimes the death was shrouded in mystery. [Toxin Lethal Check!]
"Stop it!"
The Naga Priestess seemed to be sensing something with her eyes closed, then suddenly opened them and shouted in a shrill voice, "There it is! Fire! Sink it!"
--"Maelstrom!" [Granted Divine Magic]
Strange Aquan rang out as the Naga Priestess rapidly incantated a spell. Suddenly, the Seawater began to swirl, forming a massive whirlpool that engulfed nearby ships. The whirlpool's suction prevented the ships from escaping, and several high-ranking figures emerged from within, abandoning the large ships that were gradually being drawn into the whirlpool and retreating to another location. This whirlpool possessed a powerful gravitational pull; even the Speaker of the Dead was drawn into it, inching closer to its central point.
"Fire! Fire!"
Soren showed little fear; he simply launched his attack in a deep voice. This was clearly a special Divine Magic from the Goddess of the Sea. Other ships were useless once they sank to the bottom of the sea, but Ghost Ship could simply resurface after sinking.
Boom boom boom!
The Speaker of the Dead Cannon began their attack. One shot from the Swivel Gun on the side of the ship snapped off the enemy ship's mast, and another blasted a large hole in the hull. Then, many pirates could be seen jumping off the ship. As the hull gradually cracked, the speed at which it disintegrated under the suction of the Maelstrom increased, making it even more likely that those who remained on board would die.
Thump!
The Naga Priestess jumped into the sea, as if there was something extremely important on the ship.
Although Soren was eager to reap the pirates' heads, he was even more curious about what the Naga Priestess cared about so much, so he quietly jumped into the sea as well. Anyway, the battle was almost over by now, and those who were able to escape had already made their share and left, such as the Storm Priest and the Red Dragon Duchess. The mages had all fled when the situation turned bad and the Son of Dagon appeared, leaving behind only some rather miserable Melee Class.
The battle to determine who gets the wealth is Son of Dagon and the Deep Sea Hydra; these other people are just bystanders now.
Soren remained calm.
Since he came into this world, he's been just a bystander more than once or twice. If it weren't for his rapid increase in strength, he probably wouldn't even have the right to be a bystander.
That's strange!
The whirlpools on the surface of the sea had a strong suction force, but the seabed was much calmer, only rotating at a relatively slow speed. Perhaps this was because they were not naturally formed whirlpools, but rather Divine Magic bestowed by the Goddess of the Sea. Soren saw the figure of the Naga Priestess swimming towards the wreckage of the ship. He seemed to sense something as well, and swam in that direction, but veered several dozen meters south. An unseen force was drawing him in, as if he felt a trace of desire, a hunger-like craving.
Found it!
Soren opened a chest that had been flung far away by the vortex. Inside emanated a golden light; it contained a golden sculpture about the thickness of a thigh, seemingly the bone of some kind of creature?
No! That's not right!
This isn't a gold sculpture; it's a bone!
Soren stared at the strange Golden Bone before him. It looked like a toe bone, but what kind of creature could have a toe bone as thick as a thigh?
When he reached out and touched the Golden Bone, a row of documents suddenly appeared:
"Unknown Divinity remnants discovered!..."
"Activating Divinity Fusion and Absorption Ability!... Divine Power Transferring!..."
"You have gained 1 point of Divine Rank."
"You have gained 1 point of Divine Rank."
"You have gained 1 point of Divine Rank."
