King of the Swamp
The night sky is filled with stars.
For some unknown reason, the stars in the sky have recently begun to dim, causing great anxiety among many. The stars in this world represent Deity, and the realms of these Deity are connected to the Astral Plane, their light reflecting back into the Material Plane. The entire Multiverse is interconnected by the Astral Plane. The dimming of one or two stars might be attributed to a conflict between Deity, but the fact that all the stars are now dimming is causing a sense of panic.
However, those who are aware of this now are special cases; ordinary people continue to live their original lives.
"Your Mightiness!"
The pirate ship's first mate approached, looking somewhat uneasy, and whispered, "We've entered the deep sea area, the territory of the King of the Swamp. I'm worried he'll attack us because we've entered his waters!..."
Soren gave him a cold look, then said, "Continue sailing."
The first mate was clearly startled by his gaze, and immediately ordered the rest of the crew to continue sailing, silently praying that they wouldn't encounter the King of the Swamp's pirate ship. This was Pirate King had existed for a long time, and with their current strength, they were no match for him, not to mention the rumors that his King of the Swamp were a group of monsters.
"There's a boat!"
Under the cover of night, the lookout suddenly cried out in alarm, then shouted, "Ships nearby!... Pirate ships!... Three!... No!... Five!... Ah!... It's the King of the Swamp!... It's surrounding us!..."
Chaos erupted on the deck.
Soren narrowed his eyes at that moment, glanced at Vivian beside him, and whispered, "They've finally appeared!"
His purpose in coming here was to lure out the King of the Swamp.
Being passively attacked is not Soren's habit, especially since he still has several trump cards up his sleeve. Defeating the King of the Swamp would completely open up the sea route connecting the Overseas Islands, and at the same time, he would be qualified to become the new Pirate King. Although the South Coast is only a corner of the world, this corner is equivalent to him taking a step forward, officially giving him the qualifications to compete with the major powers Deity, and Church.
"Prepare for battle!"
Soren let out a low growl, startling the other pirates, who then scrambled to their feet in a panic. It seemed his growing authority had worked well, managing to keep them in check. The legend of the Pirate King was known throughout the South Coast. These were no ordinary people; they were either monsters, hybrids, or Legendary Professional. Ordinary pirates simply didn't have the courage to fight them.
"Vivian!"
Soren glanced at the slightly nervous girl beside him, and whether it was his imagination or not, within a few seconds, the girl's expression became natural again. A hint of excited smile even appeared on her lips, as if she couldn't wait for the enemy to appear.
Her petite body floated up, and she chuckled, "Don't worry, brother. Leave this trash to me!"
Boom boom boom!
A barrage of cannon fire erupted, sending waves several meters high crashing into the sea around the pirate ship. Only one cannonball struck the hull, grazing the deck. The pirates remained in complete disarray; their command was utterly incompetent. The lookout had already climbed down, and someone nearby cried out in terror, "In the sea!... There's a monster in the sea!..."
Soren's pupils contracted slightly. He glanced at the surrounding sea and suddenly issued a command.
immediately.
Then they saw a fog appear in the surrounding sea!
Not far from Soren, on a massive Dragon-headed Warship, the King of the Swamp wore a cruel smile. He was a Half-breed Giant monster, half swamp Giant Bloodline and half Lizardfolk. Therefore, he looked like a giant version of a lizardman, maintaining a human form while covered in scales. Surrounding him were a group of bizarre-looking Lizardfolk and completely unrecognizable marine creatures.
The Deep Sea Demon [Dagon] likes to cultivate followers by corrupting their bloodlines, so many of his minions are bizarre and grotesque creatures.
However, these creatures are extremely dangerous!
"They're nothing but a bunch of useless trash!"
The King of the Swamp picked up the heavy anchor, its Exotic Weapon. Its body was so Toughness, a gift from the Demon Monarch, and it also possessed a portion of Demon blood. The strength bonuses of Giant Subspecies, the agility and defense bonuses of Lizardfolk, and the skin and resistance bonuses from its Demon bloodline granted it scale-like protection even without any armor. Its weapon, the incredibly heavy anchor, was overwhelmingly effective against any Warrior.
The entire South Coast!
Even the most Naga Race Royal Naga Guard wouldn't dare to take a direct hit from it.
It is a fallen Warrior.
However, it is not without spellcasting abilities; it possesses unique combat skills and can also use some Demon Spell-like Ability. It is a very dangerous enemy, its only weakness being its madness. It inherits the Chaotic Evil of Demon, Slaughter will only drive it further insane. Even its minions keep their distance from it at all times, because when that terrifying weapon is wielded, it has killed many of its own minions in the past.
"The Lizardfolk have gone into the sea!"
The King of the Swamp was no hapless brute. He glanced at the eerily rising mist and said in a deep voice, "Release the Manta Ray and Deep Sea Stalker!..."
These are the offspring of Dagon, the deep-sea Demon Lord.
Of course, they weren't Divinity; they were merely mutated Ocean Demon. The King of the Swamp could control some of these monsters, making them obey his commands. Accompanied by the sounds of leaping into the sea, the Lizardfolk grinned as they dived into the ocean. They were amphibians, adapted to the marine environment. These Lizardfolk, Toughness than those on land, were important subordinates of the King of the Swamp, including his own offspring, though he had replaced and killed many Lizardfolk mates in order to reproduce.
"Merrow Corsair!"
The King of the Swamp glanced at the other battlefield and said in a deep voice, "Why aren't these trash attacking? Aren't they afraid I'll eat them after I kill those Joker?"
This Pirate King had a penchant for devouring living creatures, including intelligent beings.
Ah! Ah! Ah!
A scream rang out, but it didn't come from the pirate ship opposite; it came from one of its Lizardfolk it had just sent down. One of the Lizardfolk, trembling, crawled out of the Seawater and onto the deck, stammering, "Down below!... There's something down below!... A monster!... What kind of monster!...!"
A monster that could terrify them like this must be something extraordinary.
On the other side.
Soren's ship was also filled with terrified pirates, who kept shouting, "Lizardfolk!... Lizardfolk!... Ah!... Merrow Corsair!... Watch out!... They're getting closer!..."
"What... what is this?!"
A series of chattering sounds rang out, and suddenly the Seawater beside the pirate ship parted on both sides, revealing a dark mast emerging from the seabed. Instantly, a Warship exuding Death Aura appeared on Soren's right, providing cover for some of the attacks from the side. Some creatures, even uglier and more bizarre than the Lizardfolk, covered in sea algae and the Death Aura, appeared. They attacked the pirate ships in all directions, and with a muffled roar of cannons, they sank one of the warships.
"A Ghost Ship...!"
The pirates on the deck were stunned for a moment. When they realized that the Ghost Ship was actually attacking the enemy, they all turned their attention to Soren.
Soren nodded slightly, then picked up Vivian and landed on the Ghost Ship opposite.
A cheer erupted!
The first mate's face flushed crimson, his eyes blazing with barely suppressed excitement as he roared at the other pirates, "Prepare for battle! Prepare to counterattack! You bunch of trash!..."
"Destroy them!"
"From this day forward, we are the most powerful pirates in these waters!... Your Excellency will become the new Pirate King!!!..."
