Loremaster!
After upgrading his Shadow Dancer class level, Soren still had over 60,000 Slaughter Experience.
He poured all his Slaughter Experience into Wizard Class Level, hoping to gain one more attribute point—his last one he could get ahead of schedule. From class level 9 onwards, the Slaughter Experience required for Wizard to increase their strength increases exponentially. After class level 15, the Slaughter Experience required for Wizard to level up is far greater than for any other class. Unless Soren succeeds in slaying a god, the speed at which he accumulates Slaughter Experience will be far from sufficient.
"Wizard class upgraded to level 8."
"Gain 25 Skill Point (Intelligence 20 + (Intelligence 20 - 10) * 0.5), and increase Hit Points by 10 points (Class Hit Points 4 + (Constitution 21 - 10) * 0.5)."
"Gain one Free Attribute Point."
"Wizard class upgraded to level 9."
"Gain 25 Skill Point (Intelligence 20 + (Intelligence 20 - 10) * 0.5), and increase Hit Points by 10 points (Class Hit Points 4 + (Constitution 21 - 10) * 0.5)."
"Gain a Feat Point."
Two levels, one attribute point; three levels, one Feat Point.
Soren unhesitatingly allocated his Free Attribute Point to Dexterity, pushing his Dexterity value to 24, and then placed one of his acquired Feat into Advanced [Improved Two-Weapon Fighting]. Although Soren would have liked to use this Feat Point to master the Wizard's Metamagic Feat, he decided after some thought to invest it in the combat Feat. Wizard are powerful in combat, but it is an extremely time-consuming, expensive, and energy-intensive profession. Soren didn't have enough time to learn Spell, conduct research, and hone his spellcasting skills, so his primary focus in combat remained the Rogue's Domain, which he was most familiar with.
Wizard's Spell merely serves to enhance his combat abilities!
"Greater Two-Weapon Fighting [Personal Feat]: As your combat experience grows, your mastery of Two-Weapon Fighting becomes increasingly profound. You are already a master of Two-Weapon Fighting, and even in the Underdark, few are more skilled than you. Among a thousand Two-Weapon Fighting users, you rank first. You have mastered and understood advanced techniques of Two-Weapon Fighting, which ensures you will not suffer any penalty for mistakes when using Two-Weapon Fighting. [Attacks per round +3, no hit penalty. Agility 18 points.]"
I finally got the [Greater Two-Weapon Fighting] weapon.
Soren looked around, then walked to the edge of the ship, took two Scimitar in his hands, and then lifted a plank with his foot.
Clang!
A series of cold glints flashed by.
Soren drew a Scimitar from each hand simultaneously, the wooden plank enveloped in a flash of blades in mid-air. By the time Soren finished his attack and sheathed his swords, the plank had shattered into twelve pieces, clattering to the ground. He had just unleashed eight strikes in total, five with his right hand and only three with his left. Because he hadn't mastered the [Legendary Dual Wielding] combat Feat, Soren couldn't perfectly replicate the speed of his attacks with both hands, so this was his current limit.
His current Feat level isn't high enough. At his peak, Soren could unleash 18 strikes in a single slash. [Note: "Single slash" refers to the speed of a single strike per second; maintaining this speed in actual combat is not always possible. Those interested can try it with a small knife; an average person can achieve two to three strikes per second, but exceeding that becomes extremely difficult.]
After allocating Free Attribute Point and Feat Point.
Soren focused his attention on Skill Point. After struggling for so long, he had finally met the requirements to master the background Feat [Loremaster] today.
Thank God!
After enduring so much, he's finally made it. To meet the requirements for becoming Loremaster, he barely invested any Skill Point in his Rogue class skills, relying entirely on his combat experience to gradually improve them—a truly slow process. Some of Soren's Rogue class skills are still below 50 points. If it weren't for the need to master the Loremaster background Feat, he probably would have already raised all his class skills to over 100 points.
With the Skill Point allocated, Soren's Knowledge finally reached 250 points.
A row of documents then appeared:
"Special conditions triggered!..."
"Feat requirement [Eidetic Memory] achieved!... Prerequisite requirement of 250 Knowledge points achieved!..."
"You automatically gain a new background Feat [Loremaster]!..."
As soon as the information notification appeared, Soren couldn't wait to check out his new background Feat.
"Loremaster [Background Feat]: Your knowledge has become increasingly astonishing; you have a grasp of almost any field. With more accumulated knowledge, you can apply what you've learned to other areas, and your learning speed is several times that of others. This isn't limited to knowledge alone; you also possess various combat skills. You know how to calculate the weight axis of a weapon, how to calculate the timing intervals for casting spells, and how to maximize their power. But your knowledge doesn't stop there; your accumulated knowledge has now been directly transformed into real power! [Knowledge +10]"
(Prerequisites: Possess the [Eidetic Memory] Feat and have 250 Knowledge points.)
(Prerequisite for the Special Feat [Master Loremaster])
(Prerequisite for the Special Feat [Astral Traveler])
(Prerequisite for the Special Feat [Planar Explorer])
"This is!?..."
Because he didn't have a part-time Spellcasting Faction profession in the past, Soren's knowledge wasn't very high, and he didn't have the Racial Feat of [Eidetic Memory].
So when he saw the list of prerequisite Feat for trigger-based classes, Soren was quite surprised. [Master Loremaster] was self-explanatory; it was an advanced Feat of [Loremaster]. But the next two feats seemed rather extraordinary, their names alone suggesting immense power, especially [Astral Traveler], a renowned background Feat. Many incredibly powerful Legendary Wizard even possessed the [Astral Traveler] background Feat; it was a Legendary Tier Feat.
As for the other [Planar Explorer], Soren didn't know much about him.
After allocating his knowledge and skills, Soren still had 12 Skill Point left, so he simply put them all into Stealth, since Rogue's Stealth skill can never be too high.
at this time.
Soren's overall attributes are quite different from before, and he has finally entered the ranks of the elite.

Combat strength consists of three main parts.
The most important thing is attribute points. Your own attributes are the most direct indicator of combat power. People with high strength are more destructive, people with high agility are more nimble, people with high Constitution are more durable and have better stamina, and so on.
The second most important skill is basic skills. This represents your overall ability in various situations and also determines your most obvious weaknesses. Basic skills can't be too low. Insufficient Parry and blocking will leave you unable to fight tough battles, and poor Dodge will kill you in a hail of arrows. Poor reconnaissance, Listen, and Wilderness Survival skills will make you a tragic character; even Kobold can successfully ambush you. As for search skills, poor searching will leave you unable to find any loot. Then there are other useful basic skills like acting, Deception, and Intimidation. You'll also have a great need for Diplomacy, Appraise, Heal skills during your adventures.
Therefore, seemingly insignificant basic skills can often be the things that determine your Destiny!
Finally, there's your Feat!
This is very time-consuming and difficult to train and master, but it is also the most powerful part of combat.
Theoretically speaking.
Most people who can defeat higher-level professionals have a clear advantage in their Feat. These three aspects of strength combined constitute your overall combat power. In the process of fighting an enemy, as long as you can gain an advantage in any one of them, your chances of winning will be greatly improved.
Soren always likes to estimate his chances of winning before making any move!
Often, he calculates his chances of winning based on these three conditions, and if there is no clear chance of winning, he will eventually give up the fight.
Time passed little by little.
Sailing at sea is actually a waste of time and most of the time it's quite boring.
Soren exhausted his Slaughter Experience in one go, and then began training his combat abilities. Gaining Slaughter Experience was only one part of improving his strength; honing his combat skills and mastering Feat was also extremely important. Adele Isabella remained Soren's sparring partner, but this time Soren increased the difficulty, blindfolding himself. The [Blind Fight] Feat was a very important Special Feat, used in many situations, and Soren needed to master it in advance.
Clang!
The two quickly began to test each other's strength.
Because his eyes were covered, Soren spent most of his time on the defensive, and he was clearly at a disadvantage against Adele Isabella. However, he didn't seem to be losing; on the contrary, as the number of battles increased, he gradually appeared to be invincible. Whether it was his imagination or not, after mastering the [Loremaster] Feat, his mind seemed to become clearer. He was even able to analyze Adele Isabella's attack patterns, habitual attack techniques, and subconscious attack directions during the battle.
He could even summarize and memorize the techniques of ' Listen to the Wind and Discern Position ', including what sounds represented what actions.
This is not an improvement in intelligence!
In Soren's view, it must be that his calculation and summarization abilities have been further enhanced, as if his knowledge accumulation has reached a certain critical point, and he has suddenly begun to make connections with other things.
He could even predict the direction of Adele's next attack in his mind!
It felt a bit like [Intuitive Evasion].
Clang!
A series of battle sounds rang out. Soren gradually began to get the hang of it, and at times he was even able to counterattack the Red-Haired Female Pirate using Blind Fight techniques.
Adele was clearly finding the fight increasingly difficult. She was breathing heavily, lifting her long, fiery red hair, and staring at Soren with awe and disbelief. Her expression was as if she were looking at a monster. She wasn't unfamiliar with people with amazing talent and strong learning abilities, but she had never even heard of someone whose learning and mastery reached Soren's level. She herself had spent nearly a year or two training to master the techniques of [Blind Fight].
But how long has Soren been using this?
Less than three days.
At this rate, his Blind Fight skills will be up to par in at most half a month (after receiving three Information Prompt).
The afternoon training session passed quickly.
After finishing his training today, Soren received a hint about his second common Feat:
"Combat Realization!"
"With each Naval Combat, your combat capabilities in the high seas improve, and your ability to maintain balance against the ship's rolling motion increases."
"You have obtained partial information regarding [Naval Combat]."
It might be because I haven't accumulated enough experience yet.
Soren has only received Information Prompt [Naval Combat] so far; he needs to further develop and train for the other Feat.
Two days passed quickly.
As the fleet sailed towards the Overseas Islands, the number of creatures they encountered along the way gradually increased. They saw schools of swordfish, probably numbering in the hundreds of thousands, a swarm of flying fish that shimmered on the surface of the sea, and all sorts of enormous schools of fish. Because the deep sea is teeming with dangerous marine life, fishermen rarely venture into the open ocean to fish; the schools of fish here move in numbers of tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, or even millions.
Yesterday afternoon, Soren even saw that the sea had turned red!
He initially thought he had encountered some kind of monster and was quite startled, but then he discovered that there were countless lobsters. These lobsters were only about the size of three fingers, a relatively common size in the current sea area. It was hard to say exactly how many lobsters there were, but a sailor threw a net down and scooped up hundreds of red-shelled lobsters. The taste didn't seem to be anything special, not much different from the lobsters he had eaten in his previous life.
However, their claws are more powerful, and they are stronger than the lobsters of my previous life.
If you encounter a large lobster, it can easily snap a person's finger. One unlucky sailor almost had his finger snapped off by a large lobster.
It was dusk.
Soren sat on the deck, idly cutting up large lobsters with his Dagger. Most of these lobsters were about two fingers thick, with some exceptionally large ones reaching the size of a human hand. The pirates below hauled up more than a dozen large lobsters and quickly sent them over to curry favor with Soren. Then Soren turned around and grilled the lobsters, currently feeding them to Vivian, whose mouth was drooling with delight.
The little girl ate very happily today.
Because my brother made it by hand, and because it tastes really good!
Soren is rich now.
Naturally, one can use those incredibly expensive seasonings. When it Profession, the key is nothing more than three things: ingredients, seasonings, and Profession techniques.
Soren now has the finest ingredients, the most expensive spices, and excellent cooking skills.
Naturally made food will never taste bad!
The little girl finished eating two large lobsters and then patted her round little belly contentedly. Just then, a lookout on a nearby ship let out a suppressed gasp, shouting, "Sea Monster!... A Sea Monster!..."
A commotion broke out.
Then a huge shadow appeared in the distance, Shadow Hide on the seabed. It vaguely resembled a giant squid and looked to be over 50 meters long.
This is truly a Ocean Monster!
A gasp of surprise rang out from all sides, and then many people nervously looked toward Soren's location.
"Stay calm!"
Soren stood at the bow of the ship and said in a deep voice, "Just go through like this. No one is to make a move."
The distance is gradually closing.
The Ocean Monster was indeed a giant squid, about 60 meters long, its enormous body somewhat frightening. It clearly spotted the fleet in front of it and even circled around Soren for half a minute before it seemed to sense something, avoiding the fleet and swimming past them at a distance of about 100 meters.
There were no unexpected events, so no battle occurred.
The two just missed each other!
Soren watched the Ocean Monster depart, thinking to himself, "It seems the Blessing of the Goddess of the Sea was very effective!"
This is a Ocean Monster they encountered.
Over the next two days, they encountered two more Ocean Monster, but their targets did not attack them. On the fifth day of their overseas voyage, they were finally approaching their destination, and scattered islands began to appear in Soren's sight.
The Overseas Islands are almost here!
(Day 5 of quitting smoking. I might be experiencing withdrawal symptoms; I feel uncomfortable all the time. I think it will pass in a couple more days. I forgot who said it would get much better after seven days. 5000-word chapter.) (To be continued~^~)
