Limited Wish
It was dusk.
Soren had changed into a tight-fitting suit. He had cut his hair, which had almost reached his shoulders, into short hair about earlobe length with his Scimitar. He looked somewhat different now; he carried almost nothing on his body, his wrists and legs were wrapped in strips of cloth, and he wasn't wearing any armor, not even light Leather Armor. The only noticeable thing was the Battle Master's Gloves he wore, which contained almost all of his equipment and weapons.
Beside Soren stood Vivian, pouting. The little girl looked unhappy and muttered, "I want to go too!"
"Brother, why won't you let me come with you? If we go together, we might be able to wipe out those natives. I'm worried about you going alone. There are so many of them, what if you get discovered?"
Upon hearing this, Soren squatted down, gently stroking Vivian's head, and said softly, "If I leave and you come with me, there will be no one to oversee the camp. If something happens, those pirates could easily collapse. I feel much more at ease with you here. Besides, I won't be in any danger going alone. There are almost no people in this area who can stop me from coming and going freely."
At this point, a confident smile appeared on Soren's face.
He had traversed countless dangerous regions, including the Abyss Hell, where monsters could see through invisible barriers and block Plane, yet he still managed to make it through. Although his strength was not as great as before, there were no true Deity in these Overseas Islands, at most some Legendary or near- Demigod spirits. Throughout the thousands of years of the Overseas Islands, there had never been a single Deity with even the Quasi-Divinity. Perhaps it was because the Lord of Storms was above, and any sign of such power would be annihilated by him.
"All right."
Vivian nodded gently, but the expression on her cute little face was still somewhat unhappy. She looked at Soren seriously and said, "Brother, it's fine if you go alone, but you have to let me leave a Spell Mark on you, so that if you're in danger, I can find a way to teleport to help you."
Spell Mark?
Soren didn't think much of it and nodded slightly, saying, "Alright."
Vivian clapped her small, white hands and stood up. Her big, bright eyes darted around, and she seemed to be plotting something. Once Soren agreed, she immediately began casting spells at lightning speed.
Something's not right!
As soon as the little girl began casting her spell, Soren sensed something was wrong.
Spell Mark is a very simple low-level Arcane Magic. With Vivian 'Sorcerer Legendary Feat skills and such powerful feats, it's impossible for her to need such a long casting time. Although Soren's Spellcraft skill level wasn't high enough to determine what Spell the little girl was casting, he was certain it was a very difficult Spell, and probably a high-level Spell of sixth rank or higher. He wanted to interrupt the little girl's casting, but he was afraid that doing so would harm her.
"Vivian!... You!... What are you doing?!...!"
Soren could only watch helplessly. Only after Vivian finished reciting the last part of the incantation did he understand what kind of Spell she was casting.
A terrifying pressure enveloped this place!
This pressure was more powerful than the dragon's Dragon Fear of a fully grown Dragon, but it lacked its domineering aura. A Spell Aura appeared, and then a Portal opened before the two. A creature brimming with immense power and Divine Radiance emerged from the Portal. It first glanced at Soren before fixing its gaze on tiny Vivian. This creature, imbued with Divine Power and Divinity, stared at the small girl before it, its brow furrowing slightly as it spoke in a deep voice, "Spellcaster!... Did you summon me?... You look like, in both body and soul, just an immature little girl!..."
"Are you sure you want to make this deal with me?!...?"
Djinni!?
When Soren saw the creature before him, he immediately guessed what Spell Vivian had just cast.
--"Limited Wish! [Level 7 Spell]"
The Djinni before him resembled a genie from Aladdin's Lamp. Its upper body remained humanoid, its skin a pale blue, and its pupils seemed to occasionally flash with lightning—a Divinity light. Any giant summoned by Wish was of Deity caliber. While the strength of this one was indeterminate, it was certain to be Djinni of at least Demigod level. Giants in the Elemental Plane followed special rules; they adhered to contracts and laws, and would trade with Spellcaster when necessary.
This is a Djinni of at least Demigod level!
What is appearing now is its clone, not the Djinni's true form. Only through very special transactions can the Djinni's true form appear.
It might even summon the most ancient elemental giants!
(Knowledge [War]: The creatures of the Elemental Plane of Air once utterly defeated the Abyssal Fiend; these Djinni were the vanguard.)
Vivian looked up at Soren, then, with a serious expression, quickly said to the Djinni in front of her, "#...¥*#¥##%#%#¥%...#¥%#¥%¥**#%#%#!...
The little girl opened her mouth to speak.
Soren was instantly dumbfounded, because she was speaking the Abyssal.
He had never felt so deeply the importance of learning a foreign language, especially the Abyssal that circulated in many Plane.
The Djinni is a Neutral creature.
The Four Elemental Planes generally do not get involved in the struggles between the Upper Planes and Lower Planes. Unless any one of them is so irrational as to attempt to unify the universe and transform the entire Plane into a single form, the Four Elemental Planes will generally not intervene. Therefore, the Djinni can also make deals with Demon; any Spellcaster performs Wish can trade with them.
So the Djinni spoke in Abyssal that Soren couldn't understand at all, "##%#%¥#%...*##*%#*...#¥*¥#¥..."
This is going to be fatal!
Soren wanted to interrupt Vivian and have her communicate in Common, but he was afraid that doing so would anger the Djinni.
These Djinni are actually quite difficult to talk to.
Before Soren could even speak, the Djinni seemed to have reached some kind of agreement with Vivian. It conjured a scroll of parchment out of thin air, grabbed a quill pen, and began writing rapidly, quickly filling the Contract Scroll. It crouched down and handed the Contract Scroll to little Vivian. The girl studied it intently for a while, then pointed out a particular point and began a heated argument with the Djinni. Despite the vast difference in their strength, the Djinni showed no sign of anger in the face of the girl's impolite tone.
Their contracts are rife with all sorts of traps, and anyone who wants to trade with them will haggle over the terms!
Not much time had passed.
Soon, a look of amazement appeared on the Djinni's face, and he said solemnly, "Very good. According to the contract, I will take a portion of your Divine Power, and in return, I will bestow upon you some other abilities."
"Little girl!"
"If there are no problems, please sign."
Vivian was quick; she picked up the quill pen and signed the document, at which point the Djinni smiled with satisfaction. It pointed at Vivian, and a special contractual power surged forth, drawing away a portion of the girl's divine Divine Power. Then, it pointed at Vivian and Soren, a Divinity light appearing in its eyes.
In an instant!
As if electrocuted, Soren trembled involuntarily.
Then he sensed Vivian beside him, not with his eyes, but with his heart. It was a very strange feeling. He could pinpoint Vivian's location and how far away she was. As long as he concentrated, he could pinpoint the girl's exact direction.
It felt like a very strong telepathic connection!
