The Bear Spirit.

One type of animalistic Spirits, primarily born from Totem worship. Although its outward manifestation is that of a bear, the vast majority of these Spirits are actually composed of the souls of intelligent beings. They belong to the Hit Points of Semi-energy Form, somewhat similar to Avatar Form Avatar Form, but not as powerful. The one before Soren is Totem Bear Spirit. Indigenous people like to worship ferocious beasts, possibly because their tribe's ancestors had interactions with certain animals, and subsequently adopted a particular type of beast as Totem.

The most common Totem are wolves, bears, tigers, eagles, snakes, and so on. Soren didn't know much about Totem worship, but he knew that there was one type of indigenous tribe whose Totem worship should never be easily provoked: tribes that worshipped insects as their Totem. These indigenous tribes were extremely difficult to deal with. They might not be many in number, and their strength might not seem too great, but in fact, they were far more dangerous than many indigenous tribes with tens of thousands of people. Many Legendary Professional had fallen victim to them.

Clang!

The Bear Spirit before him was enormous, naturally giving Soren ample opportunity to attack. However, his Tier 1 Transcendent Scimitar seemed unable to inflict any damage on the Bear Spirit; only the Legendary Scimitar, Icetail, could break through the strange energy field surrounding the enemy. The opponent was a semi-energy Hit Points, possessing almost no fatal weaknesses and immune to any Backstab attacks. The only thing effective against it was critical strike damage, but no critical strike could trigger a lethal Saving Throw!

"Vivian!"

Soren twisted and rolled away from the giant bear paw that unleashed a gust of wind, and said in a deep voice, "You go deal with that Shaman Priest first! I'll hold off this Bear Spirit!"

It's unknown just how powerful the Bear Spirit truly is.

Its outstretched paw could actually stir up a gale, giving Soren a feeling akin to dealing with Millennium Black Bear Spirit from Eastern Mythology. But even though the Bear Spirit before him seemed incredibly formidable, Soren's greatest fear was the Shaman Priest remained hidden inside the house. His long combat experience taught him the immense impact a Spellcaster could have on a battle, so his first thought was to have Vivian eliminate the Shaman Priest.

Even if the other party's job level is not necessarily level 15!

Vivian always obeyed Soren's words without question, so without much thought, she unleashed a Fireball that blasted half the wall away from the doorway. Vivian quickly cast several Spell to protect herself before cautiously flying inside. The enemy seemed incredibly cunning; the Shaman Priest hadn't shown himself at all. However, the girl felt no fear, for in the face of absolute power, any scheme was useless. A Legendary Spellcaster was almost guaranteed to lose to one below the Legendary Spellcaster.

Bang!

Soren Dodge five attacks from the Bear Spirit in succession, but was eventually forced into a near-dead corner, where he had no choice but to raise his Scimitar and Parry one of the opponent's attacks.

Thump!

Soren was sent flying backward, spitting out a mouthful of blood before even landing. His body crashed into the wall behind him, creating a human-shaped dent in the earthen structure. Even with his 21-point Superhuman Constitution, he felt as if his internal organs were being displaced. The power of the Bear Spirit had exceeded Soren's expectations, probably surpassing 25 points, and that attack had dealt overwhelming damage, instantly plunging him into Heavy Injury Condition.

"Cough cough!"

Soren coughed after landing, a Sisi of blood seeping from the corner of his mouth. Without the slightest hesitation, the Bear Spirit before him slapped Soren away and then charged forward, its jaws snapping open to bite at his head. The mere Parry inflicted nearly 50 points of bruising on Soren's body—more than the damage from a direct slash from anyone else. Soren estimated the bear spirit's Strength Value to be around 27 points, possibly approaching 30, as each of its attacks was estimated to have a force exceeding one ton!

--"Hide from Gaze!"

--"Shadow Shift!"

--"Change Shape Slayer!"

Soren vanished from his spot in an instant, disappearing into the shadows. The bear spirit's massive body pounced, unable to stop its charge due to the sudden loss of its target, smashing down the houses in its path. At that moment, Soren reappeared from the distorted shadows, now wielding only a Scimitar. As the Bear Spirit's charge continued unabated, he swiftly stabbed it towards the Bear Spirit's rear end!

Even if it wasn't a fatal wound, he didn't believe that the entire knife could be plunged into the Bear Spirit's anus without causing serious damage!

In fact, Soren was overthinking things.

He plunged his scalpel into the Bear Spirit's anus. Amplified by his Slayer Form's power and the Draconic Might enhanced by Vivian, Soren practically shoved the entire Scimitar inside. However, he didn't feel like he'd stabbed into the large intestine; instead, it felt like he'd stabbed into a layer of tough muscle. This made Soren wonder if the Bear Spirit before him even had internal organs. It seemed to consist only of the outline of a bear spirit's body, with perhaps no internal organs even present.

"Roar!"

Although he failed to land a critical hit, Soren's attack thoroughly enraged the Bear Spirit, inflicting considerable damage. Critical hits on Spirits- type Hit Points are particularly difficult to land, requiring the Legendary Feat of [Weakness Insight] to pinpoint them accurately. Even though Soren didn't land a critical hit, it still dealt more damage than if he had struck other areas.

Pfft!

Even in Change Shape Slayer Form, Soren still dared not confront the Bear Spirit head-on. Animals possess far greater strength than humans; a normal slap from an ordinary Brown Bear would be nearly fatal to a human. A full-grown Brown Bear's forepaw strike could shatter a bison's back, and the Bear Spirit, unleashed, was even more terrifying. It's estimated that in the entire Overseas Islands, only a type of gorilla jokingly called the ' Tongbi Vajra ' could rival its strength! (Knowledge [Biology] -- Silverback Gorilla Variant.)

The Scimitar was drawn.

There wasn't a trace of blood on Soren's blade, as if the Bear Spirit before him had no blood at all. With an angry roar, a huge bear paw swept across, and Soren dared not take it head-on but could only Dodge, while simultaneously slamming his palm into the Bear Spirit's back.

--"Vampiric Touch!"

The Spell's effect remained valid; the target was not Demigod- level Spirits.

As the degree of energy conversion in the body increases, Spirits- type Hit Points become immune not only to attacks from any non- Supernatural Weapon, but also to many low-level Spell attacks of levels 1-3. This is due to the accumulation of Spell Resistance; Legendary Professional with sufficiently high Spell Resistance can also negate many low-level Spell effects. Vampiric Touch directly steals the target's Hit Points energy, so the Bear Spirit absorbed almost all the damage, while a trace of color returned to Soren's pale face.

A surge of extremely pure Hit Points energy flowed into his body, and Soren's injuries healed considerably!

--"Shadow Assassination!"

Unable to confront the enemy head-on, Soren could only fight on the move. Fortunately, creatures with excessive strength tend to be clumsy and cumbersome when moving. The Bear Spirit's Strength Value was estimated to be higher than many Giant, but its agility was only at the level of a normal human. As long as Soren was careful not to let it Dodge way, he could gradually wear down its strength. Based on the damage taken from blocking, a normal strike from the Bear Spirit could deal around 80 damage, equivalent to the Legendary Swordmaster's Qi Slash attack. Soren could only withstand a maximum of three of its attacks.

--"Shadow Assassination!"

The sound of Spell explosion came from inside the house. Soren dared not be distracted by the situation, only managing a quick glance as he dodged in mid-air. Vivian seemed to be in a little trouble, but his telepathic connection told Soren the girl wasn't injured; it was just some annoying trap inside. He could sense a hint of anger in her heart. [Shadow Assassination] was a very useful Combat Skill; its effect was to use shadow energy to corrode the target's body, meaning it was effective as soon as contact occurred.

Soren's Rogue level is 10, Shadow Assassination deals an additional 10 points of Shadow Erosion damage upon contact.

Perhaps this injury is nothing.

However, accumulating ten opportunities each day also amounts to nearly 100 points of additional damage.

Rumble!

An explosion suddenly erupted inside the house, somewhat like a delayed Fireball burst. Soren couldn't discern the Spell's level, but he could sense the Elemental Energy of the explosion. It was as if a massive, high-explosive charge had been prepared; the entire roof was ripped off, followed by a shower of debris and a nauseating, suffocating odor. Even in Change Shape Slayer form, Soren felt slightly affected by the smell; he had no idea what it was.

--"Shadow Assassination!"

Soren's Scimitar slashed across the Bear Spirit's back once more. Just as he was about to deliver the final blow and create distance, the Bear Spirit suddenly roared.

--"Bear Spirit Warcry [Legendary Skill]!"

The sudden roar stunned Soren, making him see stars and even causing blood to seep from his Sisi. It felt as if he had been struck by the legendary Lion's Roar! The roar created a tangible shockwave that rippled outwards, causing nearby houses to tremble.

Sonic Attack.

One of the attack methods that Soren both hates and fears the most!
