Sonic Attack.

One of the most difficult attack methods to defend against, and also the most troublesome attack method for Rogue.

Whether it's the Berserker's Rage, War Howl, or Roar of Terror from Melee Class, or the Shout, Infrasound, or Wail of the Banshee from Spellcasting Class, these attacks are all very difficult to defend against using conventional methods. Unless you have Spell that protect against Sonic School attacks, the key to whether you can survive the attack is only one thing: whether your Fortitude Save is enough to get through the various judgments. Sonic attacks are like various versions of Lion's Roar, with almost no means of defense.

Even mages can stumble on this!

If a War Howl suddenly comes out as soon as the distance closes, without any prior Spell, it's almost impossible for the Spellcaster, with their fragile Constitution, to pass the Fortitude Save.

In fact!

Even Soren couldn't completely overcome the Fortitude Save throw at this moment.

The roaring sound waves made him dizzy and disoriented, as if a cannonball had exploded right next to him, causing his eardrums to bleed Sisi from the shockwave. Although he didn't lose consciousness, Soren was in terrible condition. He barely had time to Dodge the Bear Spirit's attack before it slapped him seven or eight meters away.

Thump!

Soren landed, his chest slightly caved in, seven or eight ribs broken. If it weren't for the Protection from Energy of his Stoneskin, this attack would have caused a bruise Hit Points. Soren had just recovered some Hit Points with the Vampiric Touch, but it dropped again, and his condition was now critically injured. However, this attack also brought him to his senses. Almost without thinking, he activated a Legendary Item and dodged the second attack in Lazy Donkey Roll, rolling motion.

"Summon the Earth Elemental!"

--"Summon Shadow!"

A Portal connecting to the Elemental Plane quickly appeared, followed by a heavy Earth Elemental.

Bang!

The Earth Elemental slammed its fist into the Bear Spirit, temporarily diverting its attention. Simultaneously, from within a distorted shadow, a shadowy figure, seemingly humanoid, appeared and pounced on the Bear Spirit. Soren's two summoning Spell were incredibly fast: one a summoning ability inherent in Legendary Item, the other a Supernatural Ability possessed by Shadow Dancer. The combined attack of the two summoned creatures clearly slowed the Bear Spirit's advance, buying Soren precious time.

He finally recovered from the negative effects of the Sonic Attack.

Despite being Heavy Injury Condition, Soren's fighting spirit remained high. He had already struck the Bear Spirit before him about ten times. Combined with the Shadow Erosion effect of Shadow Assassination, he had inflicted a couple hundred points of damage on the enemy. In other words, the Bear Spirit's injuries weren't much better than Soren's. Spirits- type Hit Points aren't particularly intelligent; its use of its ultimate attack indicated it sensed danger.

Soren dared not confront it head-on, but that didn't mean he had no other options.

All that could be seen was the vanishing Scimitar in Soren's hand, replaced by a beautifully crafted Elven War Bow in his palm. He took out Quiver and placed it behind his back, then nocked an arrow and fired directly at the Bear Spirit's head. Given Soren's agility, if he were to fully create distance, the bear spirit wouldn't be able to keep up, unless it could unleash another roar attack like before.

--"Transmute Rock to Mud!"

Just as Soren struck the Bear Spirit with his arrow, Vivian's petite figure appeared in mid-air. She raised her small, white hand and pointed in the direction the bear spirit had advanced. The hard, solid ground turned to mud, and the Bear Spirit's massive body caved in, taking quite a while to crawl out. This 5th-level Spell has many uses. How it's applied depends entirely on the user's strategy. Soren had previously had Wizard use this Spell to set up enormous traps.

Slurp slurp!

Soren fired five or six arrows in quick succession before drawing his Scimitar. He had no special arrows; ordinary steel arrowheads wouldn't do much damage to the bear spirit. To kite it, one needed to break its defenses, at least with Explosive Arrow, Frost Arrow, Poisoned Arrow, and the like. He needed to carry about twenty of these to have a chance of kiting down some powerful enemies. Ordinary arrows only dealt two or three points of damage thanks to the Elven War Bow's +2 Armor Piercing penetration; killing the Bear Spirit was extremely difficult, only useful for chipping away at its Hit Points.

--"Missile Storm!"

--"Two Melf's Acid Arrow!"

--"3 Fire Bolt!"

After temporarily trapping the Bear Spirit with Transmute Rock to Mud, Vivian began casting spells in rapid succession. The young girl seemed to have far more combat experience than before. She had even anticipated that the Bear Spirit, being Divine Being, would be difficult to Spell Control; its appearance alone suggested it possessed considerable Saving Throw Ability. Therefore, Vivian chose Transmute Rock to Mud —not Control Spell Spell, but one that could achieve a controlling effect. Many Wizard Spell don't necessarily need to be controlling to restrict an enemy's movement.

A deluge of Spell attacks rained down.

Some of the damage was mitigated by the Bear Spirit's Spell Resistance, but the rest still severely injured its body, especially the attacks from the Melf's Acid Arrow and Fire Bolt, which caused quite a bit of damage!

Soren's figure rushed up at this moment.

The shadowy creature tore and attacked the Bear Spirit. As a Shadow Life, it had almost no weight. Although the Earth Elemental was almost shattered by a slap, it still had three-tenths of its fighting power.

"Die!"

Soren gripped his sword with both hands and cleaved it down onto the head of the Bear Spirit. Already on the verge of death from Vivian's Spell bombardment, it was finally finished off after a round of attacks, and Soren delivered Decapitation Attack!

A bear's head fell to the ground.

But no blood gushed out. The bear spirit's corpse in front of Soren quickly dissipated, like fireworks, turning into a sky full of faintly shimmering light.

This is the power of the elements!

A fairly pure Elemental Energy, from which it transforms into a semi-energy form of body.

The scattered energy dissipated.

A portion of it condensed, becoming a substance resembling a sparkling gemstone. This is a crystal formed from highly condensed Elemental Energy, an extremely rare and precious item. Aside from Legendary- level creatures, only a portion of it can be found in the Elemental Plane. It is an important material needed by many Spellcaster.

A row of documents appeared:

"Launch Decapitation Attack!"

"Decapitation successful!... You dealt 49 points of cleavage damage to the target!... Target dead!..."

"You have gained 7500 Slaughter Experience points."

"Target: Divine Being!"

"Automatically extracts Divine Essence from the target's body!..."

"You have gained 2 points of Divine Rank."

A Divinity power surged forth, gradually merging into Soren's body. He already possessed 9 points of Divine Rank, and now it had accumulated to 11. Perhaps because the Bear Spirit itself lacked intelligence, Soren didn't sense a particularly strong will within this Divine Rank Divine Essence. Instead, it felt like a chaotic and hazy generalized consciousness, as if many people's prayers had converged, ultimately forming a collective consciousness with simple thought processes.

This consciousness is quite weak.

Because it has little concept of self, it can be completely ignored compared to the will of the Demon Lord of Fear!

Soren devoured it without hesitation.

Then, a Radiance of Divinity appeared in his eyes, followed by a series of data prompts:

"Merge with Divine Rank!"

"Divinity fusion successful!... You have fused 2 points of Divinity!... Your current total Divine Rank 11 points!..."

"You automatically acquire the [Faint Divinity] talent."

"Faint Divinity [Talent Ability]: You possess a very weak Divine Power within you. While this Divine Power is insignificant to many powerful beings, it has allowed you to gradually enter the realm of Transcendence. Due to the nature of your abilities, the transformation of your Divinity leans towards Lower Planes, so the effect of your Faint Divinity is similar to that of other High-tier Demon demons who are born with Divine Power. This Divine Power will gradually strengthen as your Divine Rank increases!" [All Attributes +1]
