Shadow Plane
Inside the lobby.
Soren fell into deep thought. After a while, he seemed to have made a decision. He beckoned a subordinate in, gave him a few instructions, and then walked towards the place where the Slave were imprisoned. The Drow ' enslavement techniques were quite sophisticated, not only using various forms of torture but also employing powerful psychological manipulation. Many ordinary creatures, once they accepted their transformation into Slave, would gradually become much more obedient, and with further training, they could become qualified, docile Slave.
Slave don't actually have a very strong sense of resistance, because most living beings have a servile nature; being alive is always better than dying.
The lower-class natives captured last time were mostly working. Their status in the tribe was practically that of Slave, as the basic structure of a native tribe consisted of Chieftain, Priest, nobles, Warrior, Lower Class, and Slave. However, these natives would occasionally slack off and didn't seem to work very hard, requiring the pirates in charge of overseeing them to whip them to keep them in line. Soren circled around the area briefly before heading towards the place where the Shadow Rift had appeared.
At this moment, he also took the opportunity to pull out the Information Prompt he had already read.
"Enter the Shadow Plane!"
"You have completed your first official Cross-planar Travel!... You have obtained some information about Plane Travel!..."
"Your agility has reached 25 points."
"You have successfully entered the Shadow Plane!... You have obtained partial information about the Legendary Skill [Shadow Domain]!..."
This was the Information Prompt I received when I entered the Shadow Plane.
Soren wasn't entirely unfamiliar with the Legendary Skill [Shadow Domain], so receiving the Information Prompt about it wasn't surprising, as the Legendary Skill Legendary Skill consists of three parts. This means the Information Prompt needs to appear three times, presenting a fairly demanding requirement. Once the requirement is met, Soren can master the Legendary Skill [Shadow Domain]. He received his first Information Prompt even earlier than this, because someone opened Shadow Portal for him back then.
At present.
It will take some time to receive the third Information Prompt. Soren needs to raise his total Rogue class level to at least 15 before he can even receive the second Information Prompt from the [Shadow Domain]. The requirements for the third Information Prompt are even higher; Soren's Hit Points form must have a certain connection with the Shadow Plane.
Any skill in any Domain-type is quite complex! And mastering it is naturally quite difficult!
There is one more hint.
That was the initial hint, belonging to a passive type of Supernatural Ability.
Attributes are a very important basic ability. Generally, 20 points or more are considered to be in the Transcendent Realm. Among the various attributes, only Constitution is the easiest to break through. At 20 points, you can master your first passive ability, which is the [Regeneration] effect that Soren initially chose. As for the special abilities that follow, you need to reach an attribute value of 25 points.
Just in time, Soren's Agility increased to 25 points after acquiring [Faint Divinity].
Thus, he acquired a passive ability.
"Epic Dexterity [Racial Feat]: Your agility has surpassed that of mortals. Your balance and coordination are beyond the reach of ordinary people, no matter how hard they try. Perhaps only figures from Epic Legend, or Avatar of Deity descended to earth, can rival your agility. From this moment forward, your agility, far exceeding that of mortals, will grant you Epic Bonus of 1 point in any agility-related assessment. Additionally, your base Dodge ability will permanently increase by 2." (Note: [Legendary Dodge] prerequisite skill.)
This is an important passive Feat for the Rogue.
It's not just because of the 1 point Epic Bonus it adds, but also because of the permanent 2 point Dodge bonus. Basically, many powerful Legendary Feat in the future will require corresponding Epic Attribute as prerequisites. For example, Epic Constitution is the foundation for many Feat Warrior. As a qualified Legendary Professional, you should at least raise one attribute to 25 points or more.
Half a day passed quickly.
As night fell, Soren and Vivian arrived at the place where the Shadow Rift had first appeared. Although they had planned to invite Goria over, Soren decided to go in and investigate first. After all, as long as they didn't get close to the Wizard Tower, dealing with the creatures of the Shadow Plane should be relatively easy for him with his current abilities. Not to mention that the Shadow Plane Creature were Extraplanar enemies, and although they were quite difficult to deal with, they had an innate 20% Slaughter Experience.
Enemies from Extraplanar generally receive a 10%-20% Slaughter Experience bonus compared to monsters from the same Material Plane.
That's why many people back then liked to run into the Abyss Hell.
Time passed little by little.
Soren waited until dawn but did not see the Shadow Rift appear. By this time, Vivian, who was sitting next to him, was already looking drowsy, her little head resting on Soren's lap.
"It looks like it might not happen today."
Soren gently stroked the little girl's hair and said softly, "Vivian, why don't you go back and rest first? I'll wake you up when it appears."
The Shadow Rift do not appear consistently.
Many factors influence its appearance, even its location can change, so when it hasn't appeared yet, Soren knew that today might not be its time to appear. Anything that Extraplanar requires patience. Back then, he waited a full month and a half in the desert for the entrance to an underground ruin to appear before that Ancient Ruin's Interdimensional Passage appeared. The final reward was naturally quite substantial.
Vivian gently shook her head, then snuggled closer to Soren.
Since she didn't intend to go back to rest, Soren couldn't force her to go back. He took off the cloak from his back and covered the little girl with it, then silently gazed at the shadows before him.
And just like that, the night passed!
Soren waited until sunrise, but the Shadow Rift still didn't appear. He wasn't too anxious about it. During the day, he was still busy giving orders and having his men supervise the Slave' work, gradually building up the camp. Then, when night fell, he went to the location of the Shadow Rift and waited quietly through the night.
Two days passed just like that.
When Soren returned to keep watch on the third day, a crack gradually appeared before his eyes, revealing another gray world!
