Goria's Advancement
nervous.
Soren had felt this way before, but not now.
For some reason, his palms were sweating slightly, which made him feel a little uncomfortable, but he quickly adjusted. The Wizard Tower before him was no different from the one in Soren's memory. This Wizard Tower was not as majestic as the one in the Shadow Plane, nor did it have such a heavy historical vicissitude, but it was still a towering and awe-inspiring structure in the North. Because the existence of the Wizard Tower itself was a symbol of powerful strength.
Goria.
After the initial tension subsided, a sense of joy welled up in Soren's heart as he thought about seeing this woman again.
There are very few people in this world who can give Soren a sense of belonging.
Goria happened to be one of the few among them, which made him feel a sudden urge to see her immediately. Soren seemed surprised that his emotions had changed so much in such a short time, so when he stepped into the Wizard Tower, he involuntarily took a deep breath and then calmly entered.
His acting skills have improved a lot compared to before!
The one who greeted Soren was not human, but a Clay Golem over two meters tall. It bowed slightly upon seeing Soren enter, then said in a deep voice, "Lord Soren, your master requests your presence at the observatory."
"The rest of you can follow me to the third floor of the Wizard Tower; those who came earlier have already been settled there."
The Wizard Tower has a very large interior.
In fact, most wizard towers have progressively larger interiors, each with considerable space. For a legendary wizard who has mastered demiplane techniques, the interior space of the tower could be comparable to that of a city. Therefore, Sauron concluded that the wizard tower in the Shadow Plane could not be taken down in a short time, as its interior space was estimated to be no smaller than the underground ruins of a city.
The pirates behind Soren looked on with awe at the Clay Golem before them.
Even though they were strong enough to defeat it, they couldn't help but feel awe, for it was a Magic creation of Wizard. The pirates had an innate reverence for the mysterious and terrifying Northern Witch, a power built up over time by the Spellcaster, even though they had never even seen the Northern Witch's face. The existence of a sorcerer had always been superior to that of other professions. Even Soren's most unruly henchmen became cautious after entering the Wizard Tower.
Another Clay Golem stepped forward.
It led Soren's men toward the stairs on the other side, while the Clay Golem in front of them led Soren toward the observatory.
Golem manufacturing process.
Not all Golem created equal. The Clay Golem before Soren was clearly much more agile than the one that had just appeared. If Soren previous golem was a rigid, lifeless machine that merely repeated simple commands, then this one was like a highly intelligent Golem Hit Points, following certain rules and capable of communication. Such Golem are extremely difficult to create, requiring not only a large sum of money but also power related to the soul.
There probably aren't many inside the entire Wizard Tower.
The Clay Golem before me seemed to have undergone [Soul Shaping]; it was like a highly intelligent robot.
Soren had always been very interested in this Alchemy Spell.
Unfortunately, the requirements for mastering it are too high. Not only do you need an astonishing level of Spell skill and Alchemy ability, but you also need to have a broad understanding of many special things. Soren probably can't even do the simplest Golem.
This is the difference between a professional Wizard and a mediocre Wizard.
Strictly speaking, Soren should now be considered a professional Rogue and a half-baked Spellcaster; otherwise, Wizard of around level 10 should be able to create even the simplest Clay Golem.
The realm of the soul.
To endow Alchemy golems with corresponding intelligence, or even to give them Hit Points directly.
"Goria has touched upon the domain of Legendary Wizard?"
Soren seemed to suddenly remember something, and his whole body trembled. A smile then appeared on his face, because he realized that if this was indeed the case, his chances of inviting Goria to the Overseas Islands were over 90%. As he climbed the Wizard Tower floor by floor, Soren saw many strange things, some Magic devices he couldn't understand, others various bizarre Laboratory. This undoubtedly told Soren how correct his decision to invite Goria had been. The sheer number of devices inside the Wizard Tower alone was already making him a little dizzy.
Wizard Tower require skilled Spellcaster to handle.
Otherwise, once Soren entered, he wouldn't even know what the general area would contain, how the Laboratory should be laid out, or the arrangement of the Elemental Pool.
Squeak squeak squeak!
When Soren reached the Sixth Floor, he heard a sound that resembled that of a mouse.
As he turned around, he immediately saw three enormous bats trapped in a cage. Each bat was the size of a washbasin, looking somewhat ferocious and terrifying, with sharp fangs all over their mouths. One of them could even spew out Spell "Color Spray." These were the Magical Bat that Wizard had been studying, special Magic Hit Points with a variety of abilities, and also the most common monsters encountered in the Wizard Tower. They were standard Newbie Killer; the chances of dying if you encountered Magical Bat in the wild were quite high.
Most Wizard are academic researchers.
Therefore, Soren was not at all surprised that there were Magical Beast imprisoned here.
Starting from the Sixth Floor and moving upwards, the Golem Guard are replaced by Steel Golem. These are lumps of iron weighing around half a ton each, with some specially modified [Steel Golem +1] reaching about two tons. These Puppet Golem of steel, with a hardness similar to modern steel, and they also possess resistance to alchemical Alchemy, making them Quasi-Legendary challenge monsters. Under normal circumstances, even a Legendary Warrior would need considerable effort to dismantle a single Steel Golem.
A Legendary Monk once described it this way.
"Dealing with the Steel Golem always gives me a satisfying feeling, like I'm dismantling a tank with my bare hands!!!"
This saying was widely circulated at the time.
Unfortunately, this Legendary Monk later encountered [Adamantite Golem +1], and was immediately defeated.
That's why.
The [Adamantite Golem +1], which possesses the ability to levitate, is described as 'Gundam'.
Inside Goria's Wizard Tower.
Soren didn't see the +1 Puppet Golem; this was a special modified Constructed Life that only appeared in ruins like the Arcane Empire. However, as he approached the top of the Wizard Tower, a Steel Golem about two meters tall with a slightly different appearance caught Soren's attention. This Steel Golem actually looked similar to the one he had seen earlier, but it did something very special when it saw Soren: it actually bowed slightly to Soren as a sign of respect.
It is a conscious Constructed Life!
Although it is not a very high level of consciousness, it has already exceeded the most basic intelligent constructs of Golem.
--"Animate Construct!"
Someone imbued it with near- Legendary Spell, transforming it into a complete Hit Points being.
It will gradually begin to develop consciousness.
Although its core commands will not change, which is similar to the core structure of the Three Laws of Robotics, other aspects are gradually moving closer to intelligent Hit Points.
This is how Constructed Life forms came to be!
Soren hadn't expected there to be one like this in Goria's Wizard Tower, though he didn't seem to have seen it the last time he visited. If this Steel Golem continued to evolve, it could become the ' Tower Spirit ' that Soren had seen in the Wizard Tower in the Shadow Plane.
A special Hit Points with a Legendary and challenging difficulty.
"Looks like I made the right decision coming here!"
Soren hadn't yet met Goria's people, but after touring the Wizard Tower Wizard Tower from the bottom up, he felt more confident about exploring the Shadow Plane. However, Soren also knew that Goria was showing him the Wizard Tower's internal structure; otherwise, these Steel Golem would normally be stationed in special locations. The Golem needed the Wizard Tower's Elemental Pool for energy, or they would have to use extremely expensive materials.
In other words, less than one-tenth of the Golem in the Wizard Tower are actually in normal operation!
A large door appeared ahead.
When Soren reached the door, his palms involuntarily began to sweat, and he immediately pushed the door open.
A ray of sunlight shone in.
Soren's gaze first fell upon the sun in the sky, then upon the vast, desolate land in the distance, a city nestled near the mountains, countless scattered villages, a winding River Goddess, and even further, a dense forest. This was all Goria's territory, and the Wizard Tower stood like a towering skyscraper, overlooking everything. Even the white clouds in the sky seemed almost within reach. The sight was breathtaking, and it stirred a sense of exhilaration within him that made a man's blood boil.
High above!
A tower symbolizing the power and status of the Spellcaster.
"You're back."
A gentle female voice rang out from Soren's side.
When Soren turned his gaze to the seats on the right side of the observatory, he suddenly shuddered. A look of astonishment appeared on his face. Before him was a large, comfortable recliner covered with soft, snow-white fur. Goria lay there languidly and alluringly, her beauty as breathtaking as he remembered. She was the quintessential beauty of the North, with a tall, elegant figure, strong, long legs, a slender yet supple waist, and full, ample breasts—she was flawless in every way.
But that wasn't enough to impress Soren.
Because Soren is a man of exceptionally strong willpower!
But at this moment Goria seemed to possess an unusual charm, even stunning the incredibly resilient Soren, who felt as if he had been Charm Spell. Goria was wearing a snow-white nightgown with a slight slit below the waist, revealing smooth, glossy black stockings. These were products of the Underdark, possessed only by extremely wealthy women, woven from the finest spider silk, their value comparable to Supernatural Equipment.
Stockings.
In such an era, in such a world.
Stockings, once a common sight, now seemed unusually rare. This was only the second time Soren had seen a woman wearing stockings; the first time was with Goria's mother, that alluring woman. Soren was wary of this woman and harbored a hint of hostility, so he had never appreciated her in stockings. But now, with Goria dressed like that, she was exceptionally beautiful and captivating, exuding an irresistible allure. Especially her lazily outstretched, black pearl-like big toes, encased in silky smooth fabric, gave him an urge to reach out and touch them.
but.
That wasn't enough; that alone wasn't enough to amaze Soren.
Because the Goria, was not only dressed in a pristine white nightgown, but also wore a pair of gold-rimmed black glasses perched on her delicate, straight nose. These were products of Alchemy, long used in this world, and even ordinary people would buy relatively inexpensive Monocle. However, Goria's glasses were undoubtedly much more exquisite, seemingly enchanted Supernatural Item. She held a thick book in her hands, the pages of which were covered with intricate Rune. Before Soren entered, she was slightly furrowing her brows as she read, but after Soren came in, she closed the book and placed her hands on her lower abdomen.
She has such a gentle and charming appearance!
At first glance, she exudes an elegant and refined air, like a lady from a prominent family.
At this moment, Soren even sensed an aura of an oriental beauty emanating from Goria!
As if noticing Soren's burning gaze, a slight blush rose on Goria's beautiful face. She deftly tucked her legs in, using the hem of her nightgown to cover her black stockings, then subtly curled her pearly big toes. She seemed a little nervous under Soren's gaze, a hint of unease on her delicate face. However, she was, after all, Northern Witch, and Goria smiled gently, slowly raising a slender white finger to brush aside her long hair, then said, almost teasingly, "Pretty, isn't it?"
A strand of smooth, long hair was tucked behind her ear.
Interspersed among her hair were strands of silver, but these long silver hairs did not detract from Goria's beauty; on the contrary, they gave her an even more unique charm. Soren had noticed these silver strands long ago. Although he hadn't asked Goria about them, he could guess that they were most likely related to him and Vivian. Thinking of this, a soft spot in Soren's heart was touched. Even though he had always been a very hard-hearted person, a touch of emotion, a strange and indescribable feeling, welled up within him.
He nodded earnestly and said, "I almost thought I was under Charm Spell. You are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen."
A blush appeared on her cheeks.
Goria seemed surprised that Soren would speak in such a serious tone, uttering such frivolous and teasing words. Yet, she found it quite pleasing and felt a strange sense of smug satisfaction.
[Diplomacy +10!]
(P. S.: I spent all day writing this chapter. Romance isn't really my Feat, after all. 4000 words. I'll add an extra chapter tomorrow.) (To be continued~^~)
