The Red Dragon roared past.

After it finished Dragon Breath, its massive body began to swoop down.

The Northern Witch began to target their Spell at the Red Dragon in the sky, but few Spell could inflict fatal damage. Adult Red Dragon possess strong Spell Resistance; Spell below the third level are generally ineffective against them, and sometimes even their Dragon Scale cannot be breached. Adult Red Dragon have 10 points of Spell damage reduction, and their bodies are immune to any Spell attack that deals less than 10 points of damage. They are also immune to all Fire Damage.

"Fireball!"

Fireball the size of washbasins rained down from the sky.

However, it didn't come from any other Spellcaster; it was spat directly from the Red Dragon's mouth.

As the most powerful of the Chromatic Dragon chromatic Dragon, an Adult Red Dragon possesses a Spellcaster level of 7-9, roughly equivalent to an 8th-level Dragonblooded Sorcerer. Dragon learn Spell relatively slowly; in fact, very few Dragon are truly quick learners, so they all comprehend their Spell on their own. A diligent Dragon is quite formidable, and such Dragon are extremely rare, Dragonkind it means they must interact with Humanoid.

Rumble!

A series of violent explosions rang out.

The First Wave of Dragon Breath hadn't broken the Northern Witch's Defense Formation, but the second round of Fireball wiped out a large number of the monsters summoned by the Northern Witch.

Dragon Spell!

Although not as diverse as Wizard, they are used just as frequently.

The Red Dragon didn't use low-level Control Spell, as they were unlikely to pose a threat to the high-level Northern Witch. It used only Area Spell to clear out the summoned creatures. It was extremely cunning and tactically astute, even knowing to target weaker enemies. So, when it saw an opportunity to attack the Northern Witch' formation after clearing the summoned monsters, the Red Dragon immediately flapped its massive Dragon Wing and swooped down.

--"Wing Buffet!"

No Spell can compare to the power of Dragon itself.

Adult Red Dragon possesses the highest strength of all Dragon, reaching Strength Value of 33 points even without any additional Bloodline Talent.

This power is enough to wipe out most of the life forms in the Material Plane!

Therefore, almost everyone who is Wing Buffet will die on the spot, suffer multiple fractures, or be knocked unconscious.

The Northern Witch are no different.

Therefore, when they noticed the Red Dragon's swooping attack from the sky, followed by its Wing Buffet, the Northern Witch all activated their prepared Teleport Blink Spell.

Bang!

The Earth Elemental Elder's figure was sent flying nearly thirty meters away.

Both being Legendary creatures, the Earth Elemental Elder was like a child before the Red Dragon. The Red Dragon completely overwhelmed the Earth Elemental Elder, utterly crushing it in both its massive size and terrifying strength. Wing Buffet stunned the Earth Elemental Elder, cracking half of its rocky body. All the other summoned creatures nearby were sent flying, the Red Dragon practically clearing out an entire area. Even the berserk Tanar'ri, enraged beyond measure, had its spine broken by the Wing Buffet, now writhing on the ground, half its body twisted in agony.

This is the power of the Dragon!

There is almost no chance of winning in a head-on confrontation.

The Northern Witch all dodged the Red Dragon's Wing Buffet. In fact, in the Astral Plane Quicken Spell, the Red Dragon itself didn't expect to hit these powerful high-ranking Northern Witch with its Wing Buffet. An instantaneous teleportation Spell —whether it's Blink, Dimension Door, or Spatial Jump —or any other similar ability, could easily evade the Red Dragon's Wing Buffet. However, the Red Dragon had essentially achieved its goal. Because after the Northern Witch used teleportation Spell to avoid the Wing Buffet, their formation completely crumbled.

How could the formation possibly remain after teleportation?

The Wing Buffet sent all summoned creatures within a 30-meter radius flying, and the violent impact cleared out all other creatures within a 50-meter radius. How could there possibly be any defensive line left?

They will face more than just this one Red Dragon.

So when the summoned creatures of the Northern Witch, meant to block the enemy's approach and serve as cannon fodder to deflect Spell, were all knocked away by the Red Dragon, the Githyanki Psion seized the opportunity.

They seized the opportunity to strike the Northern Witch directly!

--"Dispel Magic!"

--"Mordenkainen's Disjunction!"

--"Greater Dispel Magic Wall!"

The Psion ' spellcasting abilities couldn't match those of these professional, high-ranking Northern Witch; in fact, no Spellcasting Faction could compare to a professional Wizard. However, as these Psion focused on using Spell to dismantle the Northern Witch ' Energy Protection Field, the battle began to shift. First, one Northern Witch's protective field was completely broken, and then a Soulknife rushed in front of her, wielding Gith Silver Sword and slashing directly at her.

This was followed by Protection from Energy Force Field triggered by Contingency, and Abjuration Spell triggered by items on my body.

--"Dispel Magic!"

--"Disintegrate!"

The second wave of Spell struck. The Soulknife charged head-on was killed by a Spell, but the Northern Witch's last line of defense was also broken. Then a distorted figure appeared, and a Githyanki appeared nearby, then swung Silver Sword and plunged it into her back. Having exhausted all her Abjuration Spell, the Northern Witch was as fragile as a straw, and was instantly pierced through the heart by the enemy, who also snapped her neck.

Wizard without protection are nothing more than heads to be harvested!

The dead Northern Witch gradually dissipated, her corpse reverting to Spiritual Energy and vanishing. Whether her physical body would awaken was uncertain. Because the death of Soul Projection necessitates a forced test of resilience, willpower, and mental strength. Failure could weaken her, or even cause her physical body to become a corpse. If she encountered an enemy within the Astral Plane capable of soul attacks, the probability of her body becoming a corpse was over 90%!

That's why Soren dislikes coming to the Astral Plane.

Because it's too dangerous!

The death of the first Northern Witch excited the Githyanki, for they knew that even the seemingly invincible high-ranking Witch were not without their weaknesses.

The battle continues.

However, no one else could see Soren anymore, because he had invested all his Skill Point into Stealth, and then he completely entered Invisibility State. As long as no one cast Detect Invisibility near him, very few people could find Soren's trail using Listen and reconnaissance abilities.

He's waiting for his chance!

They were not only waiting for the Dragon to launch an attack and create a defensive vulnerability, but also waiting for the Witch to further deplete the Dragon's Hit Points.

There are very few Spell that can instantly kill Dragon!

Even Epic Spell struggle to break through the adult Dragon's top-tier Fortitude Save, but that doesn't mean Spell can't harm it. In fact, the Red Dragon was already Light Wound Condition when it flew overhead. Its Wing Buffet Destruction the formation of summoned creatures and wiped out the lower-level ones, leaving only the higher-level Elemental Life nearby. The Red Dragon didn't rush to deal with the Witch, knowing Witch was quite dangerous; if it acted rashly, Epic Spell would await it.

The cunning Red Dragon dislikes risking its Hit Points to withstand Epic Spell!

--"Tail Sweep!"

The Red Dragon is clearing out the nearby Elemental Life. These summoned Elemental Elder are no match for it, but eliminating them will greatly increase the pressure on the Northern Witch, since the Githyanki can now attack them.

Soren's figure drew closer and closer.

Just as the massive, mountain-like Red Dragon before him finished its Tail Sweep, Soren suddenly darted out. His target was the Red Dragon's abdomen, where he could directly attack Dragon internal organs. However, to hit the dragon's heart, he would have to rely on the Dragon-Slaying Spear, because the Red Dragon's body was too wide and long, and ordinary weapons simply couldn't reach its heart.

Before Soren lay solid, Dark Red Dragon Scale. As he approached the Red Dragon's body, the massive monster seemed to sense his presence, flapping its Dragon Wing as if to swat away any potential enemies. However, Soren nimbly twisted Dodge, easily avoiding the incredibly powerful Dragon Wing. He then gripped his Scimitar and thrust it towards the Red Dragon's belly scales.

Pfft!

A completely different feeling.

Soren pierced the Red Dragon's body with ease, as if the dragon had no Dragon Scale that provided any defense.

Then, in a split second, he realized that when he attacked, he had subconsciously struck a gap in the Red Dragon's scales. The Dragon Scale were not a single, solid piece; they were individual, sturdy scales, each with tiny gaps. Piercing them from the front was useless, but attacking them from the side allowed him to reach the points where the Dragon Scale were joined.

This was something Soren could never have done in the past!

Because he doesn't have the skill to maintain such astonishing accuracy the instant he launches a burst of attack.

But it seems he's managed to do it now.

Soren not only accomplished this, but as he gripped his Scimitar and pierced through the gaps in the Dragon Scale, he also felt the texture of the blade. He tore through the tough Dragon Hide and pierced the Red Dragon's muscle layer. After piercing the muscle layer, the Scimitar he gripped seemed to become his own fingers, and the texture of the blade told him that he was close to the muscle and ligaments.

The body of a living being is made up of individual muscles!

Muscles also possess strong protective capabilities, but their defensive capabilities are quite weak at the points where muscles connect.

--"The cook eats the cow!"

This was the only metaphor that Soren could think of.

But the butcher knew best about oxen, while Soren was most familiar with his knife!
