Half-Step Legendary!
Dawn broke after the storm.
Prince Hans stood on the harbor, his face ashen, making his otherwise handsome appearance appear somewhat gloomy. Anyone would be in a terrible mood if their patrol fleet disappeared without a trace after setting out yesterday morning, or even vanished without a trace. A whole day had passed, and the patrol fleet had completely disappeared without a trace since setting out yesterday morning. It was unknown whether it had been sunk by the Arendelle navy or lost in last night's storm.
Logically speaking, a storm of this magnitude should not pose a threat to large Warship; at most, last night's storm capsized some fishing boats.
"Your Highness"
A fully armed young man strode over, knelt on one knee, and said, "No information whatsoever! The Warship sent out to Search have yielded no leads."
Time passed little by little.
Soon, the Warship sent out to Search returned to port one by one. However, Prince Hans, who was waiting on the port, glanced at them and his face immediately turned grim. He frowned and asked, "Where is the Orion?"
"Didn't the Orion set sail together today?"
Hearing his question, the others looked around in surprise and indeed didn't see Warship Orion. However, the Search Warship they had sent out had just returned, so someone nearby reassured them, "Your Highness, don't worry, the Orion is probably still behind us. I've already instructed them today not to leave the nearby waters to avoid being ambushed by Arendelle's Warship. If there's any movement, they'll immediately send out a signal flare; we can see it directly from here."
Prince Hans nodded upon hearing this, but his expression remained grim, for his intuition told him that something was amiss.
On the calm sea.
A wrecked ship was slowly sinking. Soren stood expressionless on the deck of the Speaker of the Dead, watching the Warship gradually sink before him. He toyed with something resembling a firework tube in his hand, seemingly deep in thought. After a moment, he activated the signal flare. A beam of light shot into the sky, exploding into a bright, conspicuous cloud of smoke. Even in daylight, it could be seen from afar.
"Deep Sea Navigation!"
Soren gazed at the distant island, then commanded in a deep voice, "Summon Mist!"
"Undrowned Undead, prepare for battle!"
The Ghost Ship, the Speaker of the Dead, gradually submerged into the sea, and a mist appeared on the nearby sea surface. However, because it was daytime, the mist only made everything look a little hazy, and its range seemed to have shrunk considerably, merely covering the nearby sea surface.
On the other side.
Near the port of Arendelle, atop a towering lighthouse, Princess Anna gazed into the distance with a worried expression, and murmured, "Didn't we see their Warship today?"
In an effort to blockade the port of Arendelle, the Southern Island Nation's Warship would appear in the nearby waters almost daily.
They dared not launch a full-scale attack on the port, and could only maintain the blockade for the time being.
Arendelle is, after all, a kingdom. No matter how severely its navy has been damaged, it still possesses the most basic defensive capabilities.
"Your Majesty"
Standing beside her was a Bearded General general. He put down his Monocular and said in a deep voice, "We haven't seen any enemy patrol Warship today. Not even Viking Pirate Warship."
Princess Anna frowned slightly upon hearing this and whispered, "Could it be that they've withdrawn their troops?"
"Unlikely," the Bearded General general shook his head. "I'm more worried that they want to attack the port. Last time they bombarded the lighthouse, but our fleet immediately scrambled and forced them back."
"The enemy has twice the number of our Warship; they won't give up so easily!"
Princess Anna fell silent.
She seemed to have had a bad night's sleep in a long time; her beautiful face looked somewhat haggard. She murmured, "If only my Elder Sister were here. I'm so useless!..."
The Bearded General general looked bitter upon hearing this and said in a deep voice, "It's all my fault for being incompetent! If I hadn't failed to discover their trap, the kingdom's navy wouldn't be so incapable of even setting sail to fight."
"Her Majesty's talent is beyond question!"
"His Majesty has managed the kingdom's affairs exceptionally well during this time. It's all my fault..."
Princess Anna waved her hand to stop him, and said softly, "General Basa, don't blame yourself. We didn't expect them to be mixed up with the Viking Pirate."
A kingdom's regular navy has actually joined forces with a group of infamous Viking Pirate.
This kind of thing would damage the kingdom's reputation if it got out, and they never expected that Prince Hans of the Southern Island Nation would do such a thing.
It's worth noting that many kingdoms jointly issued a ' Pirate Code ' back then.
Arendelle's prosperous economy was due to the decline of pirate forces. After all, there are not many pirates like Soren in the world. Most pirates are from Chaotic Alignment and rely entirely on robbing merchant ships for a living.
"Your Highness!"
The Bearded General general named Basa suddenly raised his head, pointed to the distant sky, and said in a deep voice, "Look over there! Something's happening!..."
A streak of fire shot straight into the sky.
The signal flare was so bright that even Arendelle could see it clearly; it was a specially prepared Alchemy item that could be seen from a great distance.
Dragon Bone Island.
As time passed, Prince Hans's expression grew increasingly grim. When the other Warship returned and he still hadn't seen the Orion, he said in a deep voice, "Lookout? Still no Orion?"
"Your Highness!" A naval officer standing beside him suddenly looked up and pointed to the sky, saying in a deep voice, "Look! A signal flare!"
"There's something going on over there! It must be a signal flare sent out by the Orion!"
Upon hearing this, Prince Hans was startled and immediately ordered, "Summon the fleet and set sail! Let the Viking Pirate join us!"
A patrol fleet went missing last night, and another Warship has not returned today.
His intuition told him that something bad had happened, so he immediately ordered the fleet to assemble and set sail.
The fleet of the Southern Island Nation assembled quickly, and the navy, which had been waiting for orders, boarded their ships and set sail. The Viking Pirate also appeared in the port, though their numbers were only half that of the Southern Island Nation. However, most of them looked fierce. A burly man wearing a horned helmet exchanged a few words with Prince Hans before boarding a Dragonhead Warship. Perhaps because the missing Warship were from the Southern Island Nation, the Viking Pirate seemed indifferent, and less than a third of their pirate ships set sail.
However, in the end, hundreds of warships of all sizes still headed towards the location where the signal flare had been launched.
In the azure Seawater.
Soren's hair danced in the current. He gazed silently at the sea, awaiting the arrival of his enemies.
Harvesting heads is undoubtedly the fastest way to gain Slaughter Experience, especially since many of the naval personnel in the Southern Island Nation are advanced professionals. In just last night's battle, he gained nearly 50,000 Slaughter Experience, and that was because many enemies died at the hands of the Undrowned Undead and the Mutated Killer Whale. At this rate, he might not even need to complete the chain quest for the ' Four Elemental Crystals '; simply defeating Prince Hans's navy might be enough for him to enter the Legendary Domain.
Soren has now accumulated a full 230,000 Slaughter Experience, enough to raise his Shadow Dancer class level at any time.
This time, instead of saving his Slaughter Experience, he directly raised his Shadow Dancer level to level 6.
"Shadow Dancer class upgraded to level 6."
"Gain 32 Skill Point (Agility 26 + Intelligence 22 - 10) * 0.5), and increase Hit Points by 14 points (Class Hit Points 8 + Constitution 22 - 10) * 0.5)."
Soren's strength is currently increasing slowly because he has entered a bottleneck period, namely the Quasi-Legendary realm.
Only when his strength breaks through to the Legendary Domain will he receive a significant boost, at which point he will be able to master the Feat of [Improved Intuitive Evasion], [Improved Evasion], and [Mind Agility]. Legendary is a major watershed; only after entering the Legendary Domain can Soren further master the Legendary Combat skill [Shadow Step] and the Legendary ability [Shadow Domain].
Upon entering the Legendary Domain, Warrior and Barbarian will likely see the most significant boosts, as they will gain the [Epic Toughness] Feat at this stage.
Once this Feat appears, they will become quite inhuman!
Generally, Avatar of Deity have more than 500 Hit Points, a level that only Warrior and Barbarian among all professions can reach.
[Epic Toughness], if increased to its maximum, can provide an additional 300 points of Hit Points.
Their ability to bathe in Magma relies on such abnormal Hit Points. As for other professions, they will probably need a considerable amount of time to learn and train after entering the Legendary Domain, especially Spellcaster will need a lot of time to learn and master Epic Spell. After entering the Legendary Domain, the Rogue's ability to fight head-on will be far behind that of traditional melee professions, so mastering [Shadow Domain] is the key to dealing with them.
Soren has already received one Information Prompt.
Two more attempts and I'll be able to master the [Shadow Domain], at which point I'll be able to attempt Extraplanar escapes no matter how powerful the enemy I encounter.
As you get closer to the Legendary Tier.
Soren's required Slaughter Experience for class advancement has increased exponentially. His current class level is 'Level 10 Commoner /Level 7 Rogue (0/)/Level 6 Shadow Dancer (0/)/ Level 10 Wizard (0/) [Tier 4]'.
Just two more job levels to join the ranks of Legendary Professional!
However, these last two professional levels are also the most difficult, because he may need close to 450,000 Slaughter Experience. After deducting the Slaughter Experience he currently has, there is still a gap of nearly 400,000. Based on the gains from last night's battle, he will need to come at least nine more times.
In other words, he would need to sink at least fifty Warship from the Southern Island Nation!
(P. S.: That's all for today. I'll start adding more chapters tomorrow. I apologize for the terrible performance of Fututu this month.) (To be continued~^~)
