Swish, swish, swish! The militia reacted quickly, immediately sending a volley of arrows flying over. These villages near the wilderness had many hunters, and hunting was one of their main sources of meat. But the hunters mostly used shortbows and self bows, whose killing power was far inferior to that of a Longbowman. Even at close range, these arrows failed to inflict fatal wounds on the Ogres. Instead, they only provoked them into a frenzy.
The Ogres covered their heads with their thick arms. Two arrows struck their arms, while several more hit their bodies in succession.
They wore crude Leather Armor and had thick layers of fat. Even ten times this many arrow wounds would not have been a problem. Instead, their frenzy was stirred. Their skin flushed faintly red, and their attacks grew ever more ferocious. Tier 2 Ogre Warriors automatically comprehended a Spell-like Ability familiar to many: "Blood Frenzy," or perhaps it should have been called "Blood Frenzy Rage." Although these Ogres had yet to reach Tier 2, they had already developed the initial talent for Rage.
An Ogre's CR was 5. Reaching Tier 2 in the Warrior class meant a total level of 15.
They could transform into rampaging killing machines!
"Move!"
The militia captain growled, then shouted at a middle-aged man beside him, "Kalat! Milos! White Raven Battle Formation!"
Following the militia captain's roar, two nearby militiamen who were clearly much stronger rushed forward. As they roared, their muscles seemed to inflate, swelling noticeably. Their temples bulged slightly, and veins stood out along their arms. Both the power and speed of their attacks increased sharply.
They were almost as ferocious as when Soren activated Sword Momentum.
