There were three legendary Bard.
They were all monstrous beings, capable of wielding Epic Spell like Wizard, mastering Legendary Combat Technique like Warrior, and Shadow Jump Plane like Rogue. These three legendary Bard appeared in different eras, yet their abilities were all terrifying. As the most mediocre profession, the epitome of being a jack-of-all-trades and master of none, some of these seemingly illogical monsters were among the Bard!
The Hell Poet is one of them.
Legend has it that before his fall, he was Chanter, a believer favored by a certain Deity. Later, it is said that he was tempted by the Lord of Hell and ultimately fell Avatar Evil.
Records about the Hell Poet are scarce, but his achievements are remarkable. He also composed one of the three forbidden melodies, "Revelation - Prologue to Hell," which is said to have six sections, each with the power of an Level 8 Spell. If these six sections are combined, they form the legendary "Descent of Hell," a terrifying and powerful Epic Spell. He was one of the legendary indigenous Legendary Professional active Time of Troubles, successfully eliminating three weak Deity who held the Portfolio music. He then used this opportunity to become the Evil God god who controlled the Portfolio of music.
The Hell Poet was also a master of Blasphemy, and many members of the Evil Alignment served him in exchange for power!
If what's written in this Dossier is true, then he must have performed the first part of "Revelation - Prologue to Hell." He imprinted despair as a spiritual mark on the minds of the other audience members, and if their will could not resist this force, they would commit suicide after experiencing endless despair. Soren had heard of the name "Chanting City," and it seemed to be some distant city, but he couldn't remember if this had actually happened; he had never been to such a remote place at the time.
This world has many mysterious forces.
Some beings possess domains far beyond the imagination of mortals! The caravan's mistress fell silent, giving Soren a deep look before asking, "Are you leaving today?"
Soren nodded slightly and replied, "Yes."
The caravan's mistress's expression was clearly complicated, and there was a hint of dislike in her gaze as she looked at Soren. She said in a low voice, "Alright. I'll go with you."
"Huh?!" Soren looked up in surprise and asked, "Why?"
The caravan's mistress gave him a displeased look and said in a low voice, "I'm worried about Vivian. Your strength is simply insufficient to protect her in dangerous situations. I don't want to see her fall into danger because of your stupidity. If she didn't truly care about you, I would really like to teach you a lesson!"
Soren was somewhat speechless, but he could sense the caravan mistress's concern for Vivian.
There were some things he really couldn't say, because it wasn't the right time yet. However, the caravan owner in front of him made him feel much friendlier. Putting aside everything else, her concern for the little girl alone was enough to make Soren feel favorably towards her.
The caravan's mistress glanced at him, then continued, "I'll escort you all the way to the Elven Realm, and then I'll teleport back to the North myself."
For a fleeting moment...
Soren wanted to tell her that the North was also a center of chaos, but in the end he forced himself to swallow the words back.
Perhaps it would be better to reveal something to her only after the time is more opportune, when the believers of the Gods are unable to contact them. That time would also be close to the beginning of Time of Troubles. Because the journey would take at least half a month, adding up to a month in total, it's impossible for all the Deity to remain unresponsive to the prayers of any believer for a month. By then, many powerful organizations in the world would realize that some dramatic changes have occurred in the realm of the Deity.
This period of silence lasted for two years, during which many believers in the Deity became panicked and uneasy.
Some Priest of Evil God even attempted to perform Evil rituals to attract the Deity ' attention, but to no avail. Many priests of benevolent Deity also held large-scale celebratory ceremonies, with the Elven Realm even holding a grand and unique ritual. They tried to summon a consciousness, but ultimately, all to no avail. Soren remembered the reason clearly: this ritual would summon the legendary Dryad Queen, and then force a mortal to have intercourse with her.
This is also an ancient ritual for healing the wounds of the forest.
"You wait here." The caravan's mistress glanced at Soren, then walked towards the secret chamber at the back, saying in a deep voice, "I need to prepare some things, Vivian needs to prepare as well. We'll depart at noon."
Soren nodded without refuting.
About half an hour later, the little girl's adorable figure appeared before them. She was back in her original clothes, and her little feet were wearing clean deerskin boots. She walked proudly to Soren, plopped down on his lap, and then lifted her feet, saying, "Brother, look! Vivian has grown a bit! These shoes fit her perfectly now."
Soren didn't say anything, he just kissed the top of her head.
The little girl had acquired some odds and ends, but they didn't seem to be mere decorations; rather, they appeared to be props of extraordinary quality. Soren had no doubt about the wealth of a high-ranking Northern Witch; she was undoubtedly a typical "rich, beautiful, and successful" woman, and even at the level of City Lord. The Witches' Council already ruled over most of the cities in the North, and their high-ranking members practically owned vast private territories.
When the caravan's mistress reappeared, Soren was momentarily stunned.
It wasn't that the other person was anything special; in fact, the caravan's mistress was simply wearing an ordinary gray robe that almost completely covered her, making it difficult to distinguish her gender without close inspection. However, her attire did seem somewhat familiar to him, as if he had seen her before.
This "once" was certainly not from Amber City to White Horse City, but rather an impression from his memory.
He thought about it carefully, but still couldn't remember, so he put it aside for the time being. It's impossible to remember everything, after all, fleeting impressions are easily forgotten.
They set off at noon.
The caravan's mistress prepared a carriage. Several caravans had already left, and the road to Falling Leaf City was basically cleared. However, there would still be some scattered monsters in the wilderness, which was unavoidable. The Ancient Red Dragon was probably still building its lair, and it wouldn't cause any major trouble for the next month or two. For the time being, it was a relatively peaceful period.
If we don't include the gradually spreading Skinning Incident.
White Horse City now resembles the original Amber City; panic is clearly spreading throughout the city. The White Horse Guard, having just experienced a major battle, are somewhat exasperated, seemingly eager to drag out and hang those Fallen immediately. Thanks to the power of the caravan's mistress, they easily pass through the checkpoints, and then Soren begins to drive the carriage, taking the two of them towards Falling Leaf City. The carriage is specially made, very smooth and comfortable, without any bumps or jolting.
The caravan's mistress lay languidly inside the carriage, with specially made incense burning beside her, its fragrance delightful.
The little girl sat beside her, asking her questions whenever she didn't understand something. Occasionally, she would glance up at Soren in front of the carriage. When bored, she would climb out and sit next to him, watching the scenery recede into the distance. After a while, she would crawl back into the carriage, take out some delicate snacks from her small pocket, and proudly put them into Soren's mouth.
It's probably because there's an extra high-level mage.
This journey seemed more like a tourist trip. The caravan's mistress always seemed to conjure up a multitude of things out of thin air, answering the little girl's endless questions while lazily dozing off.
