the Source of Fire had been the first to lend a hand. Together with the Light of Wisdom, it had thoroughly upgraded the Magic Cube, still in its semi-finished state, into a World-Class Secret Treasure.
That was also why the Source of Fire reacted this way when it saw the Magic Cube, which had risen to a higher grade.
As for why the Source of Fire and the Light of Wisdom had helped Saine raise the Magic Cube's grade in the first place?
