Leaving
The social engagements with the Ferrell Family made Saine very uncomfortable.
As a declining Magic Family that hasn't produced Formal Magician for hundreds of years, the Ferrell Family's enthusiasm for Saine almost borders on obsequiousness.
This was before Saine mentioned to them that he had been taken in as an apprentice by the Azure Source Holy Tower Master.
Otherwise, he would have received even more attention.
Of course, this information shouldn't be kept secret for long.
The Ferrell Family will find out one day.
After spending three days with the Ferrell Family, Saine paid his respects to his maternal grandparents before quickly leaving the Ferrell Family with the Reverse Feather Lion King Simpson.
It was during this time that Saine learned that his deceased maternal grandparents were actually cousins.
No wonder the Ferrell Family was openly and secretly trying to match him with Serena.
Even without Serena, the Ferrell Family has many eligible women of marriageable age, and they would all come knocking on his door if Saine asked.
"Compared to the rich atmosphere of learning and Truth- seeking in the Holy Tower, is it true that this secular world is full of aristocratic socializing and snobbery?" Standing on the back of the Reverse Feather Lion King, Saine couldn't help but sigh.
In fact, there is also a certain degree of snobbery and profit-driven mentality within the Holy Tower.
But it certainly won't be as extravagant as the secular Ferrell Family. →
From this perspective, the Grant Family is actually quite good.
Perhaps it is also because the Grant Family currently has two first- and Level-2 Knight.
The Super Magical Beast, the Reverse Feather Lion King, has a very broad back. As a large magical beast, it is obviously more suitable as a mount than Little Seven.
Furthermore, its seven-meter-tall stature does not represent the full glory of the Reverse Feather Lion King.
Saine once witnessed this guy's body grow to an exaggerated size of over ten meters in the backyard of Grant Castle, and the scene of him swallowing an adult Magic Arrow Pig.
During the flight back to Grant Castle, Locke remembered something and couldn't help but ask, "Why did you call Ulysses' great-grandfather Stark?"
(P. S.: For the sake of smooth writing, Jeremy and Ulysses will be referred to as "great-grandfather" from now on.)
In response to Saine's question, Simpson Reverse Feather Lion King, who was looking down at the scenery below, replied, "Stark was the alias he used when he traveled the Wizard Continent. That's what he called me when I first met him, and now I'm used to it."
"Including the Knights' Hall, many people now call him Stark," Simpson replied.
"I see." Saine nodded.
Saine spent a total of two months in the Lisia Alliance.
Earl Grant originally wrote to call Saine back because his two Old Ancestor were very interested in Saine and seemed to be willing to provide some otherworldly resources to support Saine, the first Quasi-Magician of the Grant Family. →
But unexpectedly, Saine had already grown to a level comparable to his two Old Ancestor.
Not only did he not need to rely on family resources, but Saine even brought back a lot of low- and mid-level magic materials that he had obtained during the Regional Academy War.
These low- and medium-level resources were of no use to our two Old Ancestor.
But for Earl Grant, Solon, and many collateral members of the Grant Family, it was also a rare and valuable item.
Finally, two months later, as Saine bid farewell and prepared to return to the Azure Source Holy Tower.
After much deliberation, Great-Grandfather Ulysses presented Saine with the heart of an otherworldly creature as a gift.
"This is the heart of a Level-2 Creature, the Wind Beak Winged Humanoid. You Mage love to study things, right? I hope this thing will be useful to you," Ulysses said.
Jeremy, another great-grandfather, was only Level 1 Knight, and his generosity was not as great as Ulysses'.
But after all, it's an existence that has advanced one level in the past two or three hundred years, and it has participated in two Plane War.
The gift he gave to Saine was the Heart Core of a Level-1 Alien Fire Element Creature.
These gifts were presented to Saine by Ulysses and Jeremy as his elders.
Therefore, Saine does not need to reciprocate.
"There shouldn't be Plane War happening in the Knights' Hall anytime soon, so we might be able to enjoy a rest period of nearly a hundred years."
"You can come back and visit often. If you need any help from us, please write back promptly," Jeremy's great-grandfather said, patting Saine on the shoulder.
Nodding to his two elders, Saine glanced one last time at Earl Grant and Solon before stepping onto the Metal Discs and flying into the sky.
Watching Saine disappear into the horizon, Simpson, the Reverse Feather Lion King, lay sprawled on the warm lawn of the Earl's Castle, rubbing his sleepy eyes with his massive, furry paws, and said, "Hey, do you think we should go back to the Knights' Hall soon?"
"The Level-1 Magician born into the Grant Family has been taken as a disciple by the Azure Source Holy Tower Master is sure to make Babi and the others' eyes pop out."
When Saine returned to the Azure Source Holy Tower, he naturally took his Cousin Serena with him.
Compared to the excitement and joy she felt when she first returned home, Serena seemed much quieter this time when she returned to the Azure Source Holy Tower.
Within the Ferrell Family, upon her return, Serena received far more treatment than she had previously been able to enjoy.
However, Serena also endured a lot of pressure that she shouldn't have had to bear.
Of course, there may be other reasons as well.
Serena didn't say anything, and Saine didn't ask.
"Cousin, I won't be coming back." While browsing through the relatively continuous fire clusters in the northeastern part of the Lisia Alliance, Serena suddenly hugged Saine and said.
Hold onto Saine tightly, probably because the heat waves from the nearby volcano are huge, and thick, sulfurous smoke drifts by from time to time, making it unsafe to fly over there.
Saine glanced down at Serena, who was only up to his chin, and said, "Well, if she's not coming back, she's not coming back."
Saine's answer relieved Serena.
However, the girl then shook her head, denying herself, "No, it's not like they're not coming back at all."
"I'll come back after I'm promoted to Formal Magician."
"Until then, I plan to stay at the Azure Source Holy Tower and study magic in peace," Serena said.
This time, Saine nodded and said, "It's excellent that you have this desire to learn."
"After we return to the Holy Tower, I'll mention it to my mentor and try to get you to move to the top floor of the Holy Tower with me."
"The experimental equipment there is very comprehensive, and the tutors also have their own private library, which will be of great benefit to your development and learning," Saine said.
Nodding emphatically, a smile finally returned to Serena's face.
In the distance, the thick black smoke rising above the Volcano Cluster gradually dissipated.
A ray of crimson-orange sunset light shone through the depths of the clouds.
