Missing the Meals You Cooked
Dean Archimedes and the others did not press Saine for too long. →
They probably knew that Saine was exhausted from returning to the academy and that he also had his own things to do.
However, before Saine turned to leave, the Old Dean Archimedes asked about another matter, concerning his new disciple, Green.
When faced with the old dean's question, Saine was stunned for a moment.
Because he hadn't heard anything about Green on the battlefield of Poison Fire Green Flame World, even though they could be called friends.
The battlefield of Poison Fire Green Flame World is so vast that it's normal for some participating Mage to not see each other for over a decade.
This is the case with Saine and Green.
However, considering that both of them are Holy Tower Magician, and that in many combat missions, the fortress will assign Mage from the same Holy Tower to nearby areas.
Given all this, it's quite remarkable that Saine hasn't met Green in over a decade.
Green should not have perished; Saine roughly knows this.
As for why the other party had not had any interaction with Saine during combat missions over the past ten years, he could only respond with an awkward smile from Dean Archimedes.
After parting ways with the Dean and others, Saine flew straight towards the Tower Master Area on the top floor of the Holy Tower.
Above the 700th floor of the Azure Source Holy Tower, all belong to Luluman's territory.
His mentor, Saine, even allocated floors 700 to 720 to Saine. This vast area allowed Saine to occupy more floors in the Holy Tower than even the deans.
These Holy Tower floors contain a large number of experimental instruments provided by Luluman, as well as some specimens collected in earlier years.
Saine could use these experimental instruments free of charge, and even on the top floor of the Holy Tower, Luluman had a private library with a vast collection of books.
After returning to the top floor of the Holy Tower, Saine did not rush back to his usual floors, but instead went to the 701st floor of the Holy Tower.
Before leaving, Saine entrusted floors 701 and 702 of the Holy Tower to his Cousin Serena for her to use as she pleased.
Besides the experimental equipment inside the Holy Tower, before leaving, Saine also left Serena many Energy Crystal and some Magic Book. It had been over a decade since they last met; he wondered how Serena's magical studies were progressing.
Saine still remembered the night before he set off from the Holy Tower, when his Cousin Serena offered herself to him, but Saine refused her temporarily, citing the need to wait for Serena to advance a level.
In the next ten years or so, Saine estimated that it would be difficult for Serena to advance to the Level-1 Magician, but she would still have a chance to become Quasi-Magician.
Arriving at the 701st floor of the Holy Tower, it remains as neat and clean as when Saine left it. →
In many places, Saine could recall familiar memories. Occasionally, when he saw a few unfamiliar experimental instruments and materials, Saine knew that his Cousin Serena had also grown up over the years.
Serena seems to have also embarked on the path of alchemy, but compared to Saine, Serena is clearly far inferior.
Without a mentor or particularly mature theoretical knowledge, Serena's path as an alchemist is much more difficult than that of Saine.
Of course, the reason this girl embarked on the path of alchemist is probably also closely related to Saine.
Saine still remembers that Serena said she wanted to help him, nothing more.
On floors 701 and 702 of the Holy Tower, Saine did not see Serena.
Considering it's daytime, Serena is either in a magic class, at the library, or out on a school mission.
With a soft sigh, Saine flew towards the 706th floor of the Holy Tower, where there was a large warehouse where Saine needed to take stock and organize his gains from the Poison Fire Green Flame World.
"Gugu!" Owl Little Qi flew out from the Space Flute hanging around Saine's neck.
Back in familiar surroundings, Little Seven flew around excitedly.
The Construct Master that Saine captured on the Poison Fire Green Flame World battlefield was handed over to Irene as Living Specimen and transported back through the Space Fortress.
That female Construct Master was not the only Living Specimen that Saine obtained in this Plane War. Some Flame Creature from the Poison Fire Green Flame World were not valuable in the context of the war at that time, but after being brought back to the Wizard World, they might be of interest to other Mage.
Especially those Academy Mage who did not participate in this Plane War.
When he gets into a busy work state, Saine always tends to lose track of time.
Especially now that he has been promoted to Level-1 Magician, he sometimes doesn't feel anything even if he goes hungry for several days, Saine is even more prone to this.
Before we knew it, dusk was approaching outside.
While still inside the warehouse, using Crystal Ball to record and tally his gains from this Plane War, Saine suddenly felt the warehouse door behind him quietly open.
Level-1 Magician's Mental Strength is incredibly sharp; even when not in combat, it's difficult for ordinary creatures to approach them silently.
When Saine turned around, he saw Serena wearing a pale yellow dress, her face clearly showing excitement and joy.
Two lines of tears streamed down Serena's face; she felt as if she were in a dream.
He rubbed his eyes hard, Saine remained motionless.
Serena finally believed it was all real. She wanted to run over and hug Saine, but the reserve of a noblewoman she had been raised with since childhood, and the slight unfamiliarity and distance that came from not seeing each other for more than ten years, made her stand there, not knowing how to express herself for a moment.
"Oh, you're back. Did Serena Saine, who seemed to have mixed feelings, Sain simply smiled and asked in a calm tone.
Serena nodded at Saine's question.
Perhaps because she heard the familiar voice she had been longing for again, Serena could no longer restrain herself. She rushed towards Saine in three quick steps and finally threw Saine into his arms.
"Cousin..." Serena cried excitedly, and hugged Saine tightly.
Saine raised his hand, initially unsure where to place it, but finally placed it on Serena's back. Facing his Cousin Serena, who had already lost her composure, Saine replied in a deep voice, "Hmm..."
"Gugu." The call of Owl Little Qi came from outside the warehouse.
It's likely that Serena knew that Saine had returned and was in the warehouse area on floor 706 because Little Seven told her.
"I miss your cooking and your homemade juices."
"Can I relive this moment today?" Saine said with a smile to Serena in his arms.
She nodded emphatically. Seeing that Saine's Magic Robe was soaked with her tears, Serena blushed slightly, but her eyes remained bright as she looked at Saine, as if afraid that he would suddenly disappear.
More than a decade has passed, and Serena has advanced to the level of Quasi-Magician, just as Saine had predicted.
