Challenge
The rules of the Dawn Holy Tower are similar to those of the Azure Source Holy Tower. Private fights between apprentices are not allowed, and serious deaths are strictly prohibited.
However, in the Dawn Holy Tower, there is still a place similar to Challenge Stage, where the apprentices in the Holy Tower can settle personal grudges or have sparring matches.
Merri is popular in Dawn Holy Tower because, in addition to her outstanding potion-making skills, she is also quite strong in combat.
All things considered, Merri is a prominent figure among the female apprentices at the Dawn Holy Tower Academy.
The Quasi-Magician named Klie in front of them wasn't as popular or prestigious as Merri, but he was stronger in terms of personal ability.
In the Dawn Holy Tower, this guy's strength ranking, while not number one, is still within the top five.
During the Regional Academy War more than a decade ago, this guy was a bit unlucky. He was severely injured early on, so his final ranking was not outstanding, placing him after tenth place.
However, for Klie, the Regional Academy War from more than a decade ago was nothing.
More than the college awards, Klie was more interested in the fact that he got to know Merri through them.
Because of the fact that Merri saved his life, this experience of being pulled back from the brink of death made Klie fall hopelessly in love with Merri.
Unfortunately, Klie's deep affection was not reciprocated by Merri.
During the Regional Academy War, Merri saved countless people.
It was around that time that she gained immense prestige and popularity among the apprentices of the Dawn Holy Tower.
If everyone expressed their love to Merri like Klie did, would she still need to explore the Truth Arcana?
In fact, there are many magic apprentices in Dawn Holy Tower who, like Klie, secretly admire Merri.
They had all received kindness from Merri during the Regional Academy War and had fallen for this warm and beautiful woman.
While others at least harbored a secret crush, after receiving a firm and righteous rejection from Merri, he didn't continue to pester her, but simply buried his admiration deep in his heart.
Only Klie was relentlessly pursued and harassed.
After Merri rejected him multiple times, this guy even asked his mentor to act as matchmaker, trying to get through Merri 'Saine's side mentor, Menglu.
When Saine visited earlier, the complaints Merri made were because she was annoyed by this guy. It's not that Merri was heartless; she simply had no feelings for Klie, and Klie looked more like a Knight than a Mage.
Furthermore, the scars on his body give him a rugged air, rather than the wisdom, erudition, and nobility commonly found in Mage.
If we're talking about true perfection, then Saine is the role model among Mage.
His handsomeness, his composure, and his short, golden hair shimmered in the sunlight. →
In truth, even without his knowledge and wisdom, Saine could have fared much better in the apprentice circle of the Azure Source Holy Tower based solely on his looks.
Klie, standing before him, looked like a wronged little wife, pointing at Saine and Merri with intense grief and indignation.
If you didn't know better, you'd think he was a victim caught in adultery.
Most of the male apprentices in the surrounding Dawn Holy Tower also didn't give Saine a friendly look.
Since none of them knew Saine, it would be strange if they were in a good mood to see such a good catch like Merri being taken by someone else.
Many of the female apprentices at Dawn Holy Tower frequently cast their gazes toward Saine.
They weren't too surprised by Merri's choice of Saine; in fact, they felt it was only natural.
Unlike Formal Magician who focus more on exploring the Truth Arcana, these magic apprentices who have not yet truly embarked on the path of magic still retain too many of the ideas of the secular world and Ordinary Beings at the bottom of society.
They would fight each other to attract the attention of the opposite sex, just like wild animals fighting for mating rights.
This behavior was considered extremely foolish by most Formal Magician, including Saine.
However, since they had gone through the same thing themselves, many Formal Magician viewed these younger generations with a sense of relief and amusement.
In fact, conflicts in the realm of emotions are not uncommon for magic apprentices; many Formal-Ranked Magician are not immune to them either.
Few Mage can achieve true rationality and detachment from desires.
Even Saine can feel anger or joy, but the only difference is that Saine won't be like Klie in front of him, who, despite his own lack of strength, relentlessly pursues what he can't have.
If it were Saine, and he fell for a woman, but she didn't reciprocate his feelings...
Saine usually has two solutions. One is to give up directly, because Saine is not the type to pester others, and he is unwilling to try to win them over.
Second, by using absolute power to forcibly take the other party under one's control.
This approach demonstrates Saine's absolute rationality and clear understanding of his own abilities.
If it were like Klie in front of us, it would be considered inferior.
Saine had no interest in being treated like a spectator in front of a group of magic apprentices. He also knew that some of the Formal Magician from the Dawn Holy Tower must have noticed Saine's side situation and that they should be able to see through Saine's Formal Magician True Details.
The total number of registered Formal Magician in Dawn Holy Tower far exceeds that of Azure Source Holy Tower. Although it should not yet be as high as Azure Flame Holy Tower, Dawn Holy Tower has developed to the point where the number of registered Formal Magician has reached fifty to sixty thousand, which should not be a problem.
Saine had no interest in listening to the Quasi-Magician Klie's incessant chatter. He simply took a step forward, and a semi-transparent wave of Azure Fire Element energy appeared around his body.
These waves of Azure Fire Element energy did not cause any trouble to the surrounding area; they did not even damage the wooden floor beneath Saine's feet.
However, the immense pressure and elemental aura emanating from the air caused every magic apprentice and the Formal Magician watching from the shadows to change their expressions.
Saine's performance demonstrates his profound understanding of Element Power.
Those magic apprentices probably couldn't see things that deeply; the mere aura of Formal Magician that Saine exuded was enough to frighten them.
His subtle control over Element Power is something that Formal-Ranked Magician take notice of.
Although Saine had only recently advanced to the first level, thanks to the Azure Fire Body Tempering Mysteries, he progressed much more smoothly on the path to the first level than other Formal Magician.
Furthermore, the Azure Fire Power is itself a very high-level Element Power.
A knowledgeable, Formal Magician could usually see the unusual nature of the aura emanating from Saine's body.
The imposing aura of Formal Magician that Saine exuded silenced the incessantly chattering magic apprentice, Klie.
The guy's face quickly turned from black to red; he was holding it in.
But Klie does have some courage.
Saine's Formal Magician strength did not intimidate Klie. He simply threw out his White Glove and said to Saine, "I challenge you! No one can surpass my love for Merri!"
