Black Market Observations
In most parts of the Wizard World, the status of human Knight and Mage is beyond question.
Humans are the dominant race in the Wizard World.
Other races, whether they are demi-humans, sea creatures, or magical beasts, all depend on the Knight and Mage of the Wizard World for survival.
However, the situation is slightly different in City of Munich.
The restrictions imposed by the rules of the Holy Tower and the Knights' Hall no longer apply here.
At least during the period when the black market was open, the privileges of human Knight and Mage were not obvious.
Since we've all entered this Gray Area, why use our status to intimidate others?
To put it bluntly, even if some sea creatures killed a few Knight or Mage here, it would be difficult for the Holy Tower and the Knights' Hall to investigate.
The very fact that these Knight and Mage arrived at the black market meant that they were acting illegally, having broken free from the protection of the rules of the Holy Tower and the Knights' Hall.
For example, what appeared before Saine at this moment was a marine creature that looked like a frogman, walking arrogantly ahead.
Behind it followed a line of dirty humans with their hands and feet Burdens.
These humans are not ordinary humans. Based on the faint energy particles on their bodies, they are very likely to have reached the strength of Low-Level Magic Apprentice or Knight Attendant.
However, faced with this situation, not a single Mage stood up for them.
Even the Brown-Robed Magician disembarked at the same time as Saine merely glanced in that direction before bowing to Saine and taking his leave.
As a Level-1 Magician, Saine also felt nothing for these Burdens magic apprentices and Knight Attendant.
First of all, this has nothing to do with Saine. Secondly, there must be a reason why these low-level human apprentices are Burdens and imprisoned.
After only a quick glance, Saine led Yuli deeper into the black market.
However, during his exploration of the black market, Saine vaguely learned from the whispered conversation of several magic apprentices by the roadside that the human Knight and Mage who were imprisoned Burdens in front of him came from the Black Domain of the Western Islands.
They were Black Wizard Apprentice and Knight Attendant from the Black Domain, and were unregistered in the Wizard Continent.
That's why he was imprisoned by that sea creature with impunity.
Similar apprentices and Knight Attendant were not uncommon in City of Munich.
The current period is the last auction season of the year in City of Munich, and it is estimated that magic apprentices or Knight Attendant from the Black Domain will be auctioned off as goods.
City of Munich. Since it has been renamed the Wave City, its area is definitely more than just a market town.
This is a unique city built on an island. Saine noticed that as they moved towards the island's center, the prosperity of the black market shops increased along with the elevation. →
Upon arriving at the black market, Saine intentionally or unintentionally exuded the Power Aura befitting Level-1 Magician.
There's no way around it, this place really isn't a good place.
More than once, Saine noticed some malicious gazes sweeping over him.
Some were there because of Yuli's beautiful appearance, while others were actually there for Saine...
Besides covering herself with a hood, the Construct Master Yuli also displayed the aura of a Level 1 being.
It is, after all, Gray Area, not a corrupt place like the Black Domain of the Western Islands.
In Munich, there is naturally a set of unspoken rules that everyone follows.
If magic apprentices or Knight Attendant below level one come here, they are indeed very likely to suffer losses.
However, the basic rights of at least level one powerhouses can still be guaranteed here.
Ultimately, this is a world that values strength.
Saine spent two days exploring City of Munich.
In the city, Saine had a general understanding of most of the situations on the market.
However, there were some places that Saine didn't visit. On the one hand, there were some private properties, and on the other hand, there were some special auction houses that required an entrance fee. Saine wasn't in a hurry to explore them.
This black market, built deep in the sea, was indeed a Den of Luxury filled with darkness and crime.
Besides some magic apprentices and Knight Attendant of unknown origin being openly sold, Saine also saw the long-lost Corpse Refinement Synthetic Beast here.
Saine's impression of the Corpse Refinement Synthetic Beast was based on the work of Ke Suo Long, a first-level Black Magician, at the City of Mozhsuobula Black Magic Academy.
However, the first-level Black Magician Ke Suo Long has already been killed by the Mage of the Dawn Holy Tower.
In subsequent interactions, whether with the Azure Source Holy Tower or other Holy Tower Mage, Saine rarely encountered similar creations.
However, during the Regional Holy Tower Academy War, Saine saw that some of the magic apprentices of the Shadow of Darkness Holy Tower possessed similar abilities.
However, the Shadow of Darkness Holy Tower is located in the eastern region of the Azure Source Holy Tower, and is not on Saine's travel route.
Furthermore, Saine was certain that the Corpse Refinement Synthetic Beast he saw on the black market were definitely not the work of normal Holy Tower Magician.
Because this bizarre-looking, three-headed Corpse Refinement Synthetic Beast, one of its heads and part of its torso, clearly originated from a Level 1 Knight in the Wizard World.
As for the other two heads of this Corpse Refinement Synthetic Beast, they seem to have come from a level one Titan and a Level Magical Beast, respectively.
Openly turning human Knight into Corpse Refinement Synthetic Beast is a feat only the Black Magician of the Black Domain would attempt.
Furthermore, considering the few magic apprentice slaves that Saine saw when he first arrived on the island, it's almost certain that there are Black Magician in this black market.
"Based on my observations over the past two days, the largest auction on the black market should be the ' Crown Pearl Auction,' which happens to be held in five days. Perhaps I can participate."
"Besides, I didn't expect that there would be a short-distance Space Teleportation Array in the black market, which can directly connect to the hidden areas south and west of the Dawn Holy Tower."
"That's true. When our mentor Moxidu and the others arrived in the Underdark from the Western Islands, they certainly didn't use the original method of flight, but rather took advantage of the Teleportation Array."
"It's estimated that Senior Sister Fei'er and Lina, among others, also used these black market Teleportation Array when they went to the Western Islands," Saine analyzed.
The Teleportation Array array in City of Munich is not cheap, but surprisingly, it's only one or two Magic Coin cheaper than the Teleportation Array set up by the Holy Tower and the Knights' Hall.
The reason why the Teleportation Array arrays of the Holy Tower are so expensive, according to Saine, is that the major Holy Tower in the Wizard World have completely monopolized the teleportation field.
The price is determined by Holy Tower Fe, so it will naturally be more expensive.
While the Teleportation Array array in City of Munich is slightly cheaper, it has a drawback: it only allows one-way teleportation.
It can only be used when leaving the black market; it is rarely possible to reach the black market from elsewhere.
Furthermore, the black market's Teleportation Array is far less stable than the Holy Tower's Teleportation Array.
Even if the final teleportation coordinates deviate by a few thousand meters, it's still reasonable.
I'm not feeling well today, so there will only be one update tonight. Please understand.
