A Sense of Affinity
The scene and situation changed so quickly that when the second-level dark mage Van Basten was slammed into the sea by the giant turtle...
Saine, still standing on the turtle's back, was stunned and didn't come to his senses for a moment.
The terrifying power of the Giant Turtle could be discerned from the screams of the Second-Level Black Magician.
Previously, when facing the siege of Sain and more than a dozen plant creatures, the second-level dark mage Van Basten was able to put up a great fight and almost broke through the vine cage.
However, faced with the immense force of this terrifying Giant Turtle's slap, the creature couldn't even mount a proper resistance before sinking into the seabed, following the dark shadow.
This isn't some dark shadow at all; it's clearly the tail of this Giant Turtle.
The Giant Turtle barely moved its body; with a flick of its tail, it slapped a late-stage level two Black Magician into the sea like a bug.
Saine wasn't sure whether the Second-Level Black Magician was dead or not.
However, just seeing the waves crashing and splashing, which were thousands of meters high, and facing the vast scene of the sea about to overturn him, a deep sense of powerlessness spread throughout Saine's body.
Let alone with Saine's current power, even if Saine successfully activated the Milky White Green Source Seed given to him by his mentor Luluman, the Plant Creature that would grow would most likely be no match for this Giant Turtle.
Even more surprisingly, perhaps even Luluman wouldn't be a match for this enormous Giant Turtle...
Just what kind of terrifying existence is this?
And in the Endless South Sea of Wizard World, how many powerful creatures like these exist?
The Giant Turtle didn't even need to target him; the thousands of meters high waves it created were enough to engulf Saine.
Weakened and overwhelmed by the pressure, Saine struggled to raise his Magic Staff, attempting to cast a simple Magic Shield to counteract the impact of the seawater.
But what was surprising next was that the tsunami, which surged up to a height of over a thousand meters, did not crash down on Saine.
Instead, it seemed as if it had encountered some semi-transparent barrier, and the liquid overflowed from all directions.
Not even a single drop of rain could soak Saine's body, let alone the surging waves.
A deep, resonant, and distinctive roar echoed across the surrounding sea. It was the turtle's voice.
As this unique roar echoed in all directions, something astonishing happened to Saine.
The tornado and torrential rain that originally covered a large area of the nearby sea disappeared almost instantly.
The originally dark and heavy clouds in the sky seemed to melt away quickly.
A beam of golden sunlight quickly pierced through the clouds and shone down on the sea below. →
The violently turbulent waves and tides quickly returned to calm as the Giant Turtle extended its front claws out of the water and slapped them down.
The rapid changes in the scene before him and the surrounding environment caused Saine's brain to momentarily shut down.
Saine knew that even his mentor Luluman, could hardly change the geography and environment of the Wizard World with a wave of his hand.
More importantly, this Giant Turtle did not seem to use any magic or Elemental Power from beginning to end.
This is a mysterious and special technique; if one had to describe it in words, Saine would call it "the Power of Rules."
Saine was in a daze and completely lost, while the Giant Turtle, after finishing all that, looked at Saine with great interest.
As the dark clouds dispersed and the sun shone on the sea again, Saine realized that the Giant Turtle, despite its astonishing size, was not actually that terrifying.
Its eyes are black and round, and on the top of its head are two short, sinewy, and peculiar horns.
These two horns resembled deer antlers, but Saine felt a powerful Dragon Breath rushing towards him.
Does this Giant Turtle also possess an extremely strong Dragon Bloodline?
The Giant Turtle gives off a very kind and approachable vibe.
If it weren't for the terrifying scene of it instantly killing Second-Level Black Magician with a single tail strike, Saine probably wouldn't have felt any fear towards it.
Based on the other's gentle aura and the emotions revealed in its eyes, Saine could roughly judge that the Giant Turtle had no ill intentions towards him.
You could even say that the Giant Turtle kindly saved him and was his benefactor.
Saine is a man who clearly distinguishes between gratitude and resentment. Especially knowing that it is unlikely that he can shake this Giant Turtle by releasing any of his trump cards, Saine will not show any hostility towards it.
"Hey, why is there a trace of the Wizard World's Plane Origin within your body?"
"Another lucky one who has received extra attention from the Plane Will?" A light, cheerful voice transmitted through the will appeared in Saine's mind.
The voice sounded very young, even like a child's voice.
However, its oppressive power is immense, enough to make Saine abandon any ulterior motives.
Saine could sense that the Giant Turtle had no hostility towards him, and not only did the Giant Turtle feel a sense of goodwill towards him, but as Saine gradually let go of some of the pressure in his heart, he was surprised to find that he also felt a sense of closeness to the Giant Turtle.
It was as if something was drawing them together.
Faced with the Giant Turtle's question, Saine took a deep breath and honestly answered where his Plane Origin came from.
Needless to say, it was the Light of the Planes that the Summer Guardian casually gifted to him when he passed through the Green Source Land after the Regional Academy War.
Saine didn't feel anything about that Light of the Planes, because it didn't actually enhance Saine power much.
The purpose was simply to help him advance to the next level smoothly, and to listen to what his mentor Luluman, said, which would greatly benefit his future advancement path up to level three.
This Giant Turtle wasn't helping him for no reason. Considering the giant Plant Creature he had catalyzed during the battle with the Black Magician, they were the main culprits who disturbed the Giant Turtle's peaceful sleep.
In this light, it seems that the reason why this Giant Turtle could calm down after waking up and show goodwill towards Saine was truly due to the Light of the Planes given to it by the Summer Guardian back then.
If it were a stranger, Saine would never reveal such a secret as the Light of the Planes to them.
However, he was now in an unequal position with the Giant Turtle, and the Giant Turtle showed him no hostility. Saine trusted his intuition and judgment of people.
After hearing Saine's explanation, the Giant Turtle smacked its lips in a human-like manner.
At this moment, Saine was still on the Giant Turtle's back, and it was only thanks to the Giant Turtle's long neck that he could talk to Saine without being affected.
Furthermore, the Giant Turtle showed no intention of immediately kicking Sain off its back, as Saine remained on its back.
"So you are the great Summer Guardian. Speaking of which, I have been suppressing this Sea Eye for the Summer Guardian for a thousand years. It's time to go back." The Giant Turtle said casually.
