Temporary Parting

It took Saine nearly half a month to finally obtain information from the Bixi about its normal breathing rate and the frequency of its breathing and muscle vibrations when it was in a light sleep state.

Why is it called "light sleep"?

Because Saine dared not let it enter "deep sleep".

Once Bixi has completely fallen asleep, it is very difficult to wake it up easily.

Even if it's the last thing they do, they'll wake you up.

I'm afraid that Bixi won't be in a good mood then.

The Second-Level Black Magician, whose flesh had already been torn and mangled, is the most direct example.

Two more months passed, and when they had traversed most of the territory of the Mamet United Alliance by waterway, Saine finally left the laboratory with a mixture of satisfaction and regret.

Satisfied because Saine had, through his research, initially obtained a relatively simple Breathing Technique and muscle control ability.

This method of concealing one's aura is far superior to the Aura Concealment Technique magic that Saine previously possessed.

Furthermore, the two belong to completely different systems, and Saine can use both to achieve a near-perfect stealth effect.

He tested it out, and when he fully concentrated his energy, even the Construct Master Yuli standing next to him couldn't discern his true strength.

I could only rely on my intuition and vaguely sense that Saine was not a weakling.

The regret is that this method of concealing one's aura is far from being "perfect".

A month and a half later, in the northern part of the Mamet United Alliance, in the Ligoster City.

This is the dividing line Mamet United Alliance and the Northern City of Steel and the Northeast Sage's Forest.

A mighty river called the Saxon flows from east to west, while to the south there is a tributary of similar size called the Sicilian River.

Saine and Bixi arrived at this dividing line via the Sicilian River, and will part ways here temporarily.

Next, Saine and Yuli will continue north to explore the territory of City of Steel.

Bixi, on the other hand, continued eastward along the waterway toward the Sage's Forest.

The Sage's Forest is currently the largest Magic Beast Forest in the Wizard World, with a rich diversity of species, making it the most important gene pool in the Wizard World.

The monsters there are also the strongest.

The strongest magical beast in the Magic Beast Forest within the Green Source Land is only level three.

At least Saine had never heard of any Level-4 lifeform inhabiting the forests near the Azure Source Holy Tower.

But in the Sage's Forest before us, there are countless level four and five King of Magic Beasts, let alone anything else.

Even stronger beings exist within the Sage's Forest...

As they were about to part ways, both Saine and Bixi showed a touch of sadness in their expressions.

However, their separation was only temporary.

As agreed, they will meet again at the mouth of the Saxon River in western City of Steel, in six months to two years, and travel together to the Western Islands.

Having a giant Dragon Turtle as a means of transportation for Saine across the Atlantic Ocean in the Wizard World is much more convenient than Saine crossing the ocean on his own.

It's also much faster.

Therefore, Saine was able to allocate some of his time to traveling within the territory of the City of Steel.

Otherwise, if it were just about traveling, Saine wouldn't have spent up to two years in the City of Steel.

Although reluctant, he had to leave; Saine was not one to hesitate.

Bixi looked up at Saine several times before finally saying, "Why don't you let Qiqi come with me? It'll be too boring for me to go alone."

"Qiqi" is the name that Bixi uses for the Owl Qi, just like how Saine now basically calls it "Little Seven".

The nickname also reflects the deep friendship that Bixi Little Seven this period of time.

Without hesitation, Saine nodded and said, "No problem."
