The Engineer Civilization was, in fact, a top-level civilization focused primarily on defense!
For the past million years, this civilization had also survived and developed within the surrounding star regions in a relatively mild manner.
When Saine had previously visited the Star Vortex of Light, the Light God Race had mentioned that the Engineer Civilization had long been at odds with them. The Light Main Gods had long wanted to invade and teach the Engineer Civilization a lesson, spreading faith in the God of Light there.
