Magic Staff Head
After establishing a cooperative relationship with the Bone Dragon, Saine released it from the combined suppression of the two Plant Creature. →
This Bone Dragon seemed to understand the rules of the Wizard Alliance very well; it was well aware of its status and relationship with other creatures in the Wizard World.
Although the true life energy levels of Saine and Lina are weaker than its own, if it kills Saine and the others here, it will not fare well either.
The higher one's social class, the more one knows, and the more clearly one understands one's own insignificance.
In contrast, the level one Undead Creature, including the Death Knight, may not even know the true nature of this world, and they have never left this graveyard in their entire lives.
Explaining the rules of the Wizard Alliance, the vassal relationship between the Netherworld and the Wizard World, to them is like casting pearls before swine.
"What's your name?" Saine asked.
"My name is Sanchez, it was Piano who gave me that name," the Bone Dragon replied.
"You said you were trapped in the cemetery for six thousand years before this."
"Since your consciousness is clouded by this Black Crystal, how exactly do you know the passage of time?" Saine couldn't help but ask.
"Look at this." The Bone Dragon swung its massive bone tail horizontally, presenting it to Sa'ien.
Saine frowned slightly, puzzled.
The Bone Dragon explained, "Do you see those Bone Markings?"
"Damn it, the Laozi I closed my eyes and opened them again, six more Bone Markings appeared."
"Even if they are undead, how many six thousand years have passed!" the Bone Dragon said angrily.
Saine counted carefully and found that there were eleven prominent Bone Markings in the center of the Bone Dragon and tailbone.
In other words, this guy must have lived for over eleven thousand years.
She was actually older than Saine's mentor, Luluman.
Saine didn't believe that a guy who had lived for over ten thousand years could only have Level-2 Lifeform energy.
After glancing discreetly at the Bone Dragon, Saine added, "I think we should sign a Magic Contract?"
"Magic Contract?" The Bone Dragon raised its head and glanced at Saine, the soul flames in its eye sockets flickering noticeably.
Just as Saine suspected the Bone Dragon was up to something and was about to signal the two giant plants behind it to attack, the Bone Dragon spoke up, "You're not going to trick me again, are you?"
"I've experienced firsthand the contracts of Mage in your Wizard World," the Bone Dragon muttered.
Saine's lips twitched.
To be fair, Saine's knowledge of Magic Contract is not extensive.
He was only an apprentice, and during the general classes at the Azure Source Holy Tower, he had only systematically learned about Magic Contract.
With Saine's current abilities, drafting a fair and reasonable Magic Contract for both parties shouldn't be difficult.
But if he wants to play tricks in the Magic Contract, or set up loopholes to trap Alien Plane creatures... Saine still needs to study and research for a while, especially to brush up on his in-depth knowledge of Magic Contract.
It is unknown whether his mentor Luluman, possesses any knowledge of the secrets of the relevant field.
That's the advantage of having a mentor; if there's anything you don't understand, you can just ask directly.
The mentor always has a solution. Even if Luluman herself is not good at it, she still has her mentor, as well as her senior brothers and sisters.
It is this unique Knowledge Inheritance relationship that makes Mage in the Wizard World place particular importance on apprenticeship.
Finally, a Magic Contract, drafted by Saine himself and witnessed by Lina, Angle, and the Bone Dragon Sanchez, was successfully signed.
The contract states that neither party shall harm the other, and since the Bone Dragon Sanchez and his subordinates need the help of Saine and others to return to the Netherworld, the Bone Dragon Sanchez will need to unconditionally help Saine and the others three times in the future.
"Do I have to sign a contract too?" Angle asked.
"Since we're partners in the same industry, let's sign together," Saine said.
Angle essentially got the benefit of the Bone Dragon's help for free this time. The Bone Dragon helped three times in the Magic Contract, and one of those times was for Angle.
It can't be said that it was a freebie. Angle had contributed to the battle, and no one had ever escaped.
After reuniting with Lina, Saine's previously aloof and cold personality improved considerably.
He was willing to befriend Angle, and more importantly, Angle, who was strong and had great potential among his peers, was also a worthy friend of Saine.
"Isn't it a bit inappropriate to offer help unconditionally? Shouldn't we at least pay some kind of fee?" Bone Dragon said, smacking his skeletal jaw.
The three Mage in front of it were all of a lower Life Level than it. Helping these three Level-1 Magician a few times was nothing. As long as they could open the summoning channel, the Bone Dragon would be essentially doing a red-hot job.
Summoning Undead Creature stronger than oneself is no easy feat.
Even if Saine and the others had made an agreement with the Bone Dragon Sanchez, to summon such a behemoth to the designated area, they would either have to perform a blood sacrifice (which many Netherworld Lord like) or prepare enough Energy Crystal for equivalent balance.
Regardless of the method, as the one being summoned, Bone Dragon Sanchez will always gain some benefit from the summoning circle.
During her two years on the Knight Continent, Lina was quite enthusiastic about studying the necromancy and Summoning Element Magic Books that Saine had obtained from the Mamet United Alliance, so she knew a lot about them.
Before Saine could answer, Lina, who was halfway through drawing the magic circle runes, looked up and said coldly, "No!"
Lina's words made the Bone Dragon reluctantly turn its head away.
Saine noticed that the Bone Dragon Sanchez seemed rather wary of Lina.
Besides the fact that Lina controlled the passage back to the Netherworld, there was another reason, which Saine guessed was the Black Crystal Lina was holding.
Since this Black Crystal can cloud the mind of a ten-thousand-year-old Bone Dragon, it must be something extraordinary.
Even disregarding the Netherworld space beacon contained within the Black Crystal, the Black Crystal itself possesses considerable attributes of darkness, death, and space.
Saine had always wanted to make a Magic Staff for Lina.
The Magic Staff's shaft can be made entirely from the leftover parts from when Saine crafted the Azure Fire Heart Magic Staff, while the staff head has been a long-sought-after item by Saine across the Knight Continent.
Isn't the Black Crystal in front of us the perfect main material for the head of Lina's Magic Staff?
"The Knight Continent Secret Realm opens once every thousand years. This Subspace secret realm may have opened in the past, but I guess no one would have thought to take the Black Crystal in your eye socket, which is why your mind has only recovered now."
"By the way, what is the strength of the Piano Mage who left you here?" Saine couldn't help but ask.
"Demigod-level strength, and an old bastard who likes to wear a leather hat!"
"That guy should be dead. I couldn't sense any trace of his presence in my soul," the Bone Dragon Sanchez replied.
In the previous sentence, it was still somewhat gritted its teeth.
But in the next sentence, there was a strange sense of emotion and melancholy in the Bone Dragon's voice.
