Pushing into the Depths of Destruction
When they set off again, Saine's Mechanical God Rule True Body had completed its final round of repairs.
Within the mechanical Maintenance Area of Gear Time-Space, tens of thousands of mechanical arms retracted one after another. The armor surfaces, previously slashed by the Ebony sword light, began to shimmer with a deep blue glow once more.
Saine raised his right hand and tentatively clenched his fist. The immense force that traveled along his entire arm caused the nearby maintenance platforms that had not yet been evacuated to tremble slightly. Wall-E then moved them further away.
The Mechanical Legion that returned to the Gear Time-Space with Saine is still resting in place. This time, those who set off with him were mostly Engineering Forces skilled in working in extreme environments.
Locke's side doesn't lack Destruction Creature capable of charging to the front lines. What he needs is to truly preserve the newly conquered territories after the battle ends.
When traversing the Paradise Lost Time-Space, Saine did not linger long on the Origin Continent.
Beyond those gently swaying ancient trees, more signs of life have appeared in the newly expanded continent and starry sky. In a distant region that has just stabilized, the destructive fluctuations can still be seen constantly dissipating.
The benefits derived from the Destruction Time-Space are continuously changing this place.
Saine's gaze lingered briefly before turning to the location of the Bronze Gate. Large swaths of silvery-white Moonlight Essence flowed downwards through the branches of the Ancient Tree of the Moon. Rows of pre-arranged Mechanical Engineering Ship were slowly passing through the cross-border passage, which had been stable for many years.
It will obviously take some time for this massive army to reach the other side.
As Saine stepped through the Bronze Gate, he was met with a band of black and red light that stretched to the horizon.
Numerous Destruction Creature roamed within, while mechanical Transport Platform were located slightly later.
Further ahead, Zerg Swarm were continuously gathering.
Compared to when they left last time, the most advanced Mechanical Position had advanced a considerable distance.
When Saine arrived, the first person he met was Kerrygan.
The Blade Queen's bone wings gently folded behind her, and the previously restless Zerg Swarm quickly parted to both sides.
A horde of insectoid beasts with thick, destructive carapaces passed by her, heading straight for the still surging golden crystal tide in the distance.
Some of them, before even reaching the deepest point, began to crack in their bodies. But the subsequent Zerg Swarm did not stop.
"Those locations have already seen several different legions come and go," Kerrygan said.
She was pointing to a dark golden starry sky that didn't seem particularly conspicuous. There were no complete planets there, only many Destruction Crystals of varying sizes, and interconnected patterns of rules.
However, whenever the golden tide rises in the rear, that area will light up again, drawing the primal impact that was just suppressed to the forefront once more.
"Lord Locke already been there?" Saine asked.
Kerrygan nodded. "But after he leaves, these places will once again respond to the guy inside."
Saine looked in the direction she pointed.
As expected, the black and red barrier that was forming in the distance collapsed rapidly under the subsequent impact of the golden tide. Several Destruction Creature stationed nearby were instantly swept into it.
Further on, the two Mechanical Platform had to be temporarily moved aside to find a suitable new location for deployment.
Locke didn't keep Saine waiting for long.
A jet-black spear-like beam swept past from afar, abruptly severing a portion of the expanding crystalline tide.
The Destruction Black Lotus then appeared in the starry sky.
Locke stood atop the Black Lotus, surrounded by lingering golden fragments. The God Slaying Spear in his hand was already pointing towards another, deeper region.
"How far are you planning to go this time?" Saine asked.
"Let's connect these together first," Locke replied.
A Star Map formed from the Destruction Will unfolded before the two of them.
Saine quickly discovered that Locke's target wasn't just the starry sky directly in front of the current legion. There were several other locations situated between existing occupied territories.
Their range may not be particularly vast, but they are closely connected to the deeper Origin of Destruction. In the previous rounds of battle, the Destruction Supreme used these places to directly suppress the power of Locke's legions.
Some of these connections had already been severed by Locke. However, destruction on the battlefield alone was not enough to completely change their allegiance.
"Destroying them is easy, but getting them to obey me will take much longer," Locke said.
Instead of answering immediately, Saine had Skynet display all the records accumulated by the Advanced Engineering Legion.
Several sections of machinery destroyed by the gold tide were located near the area Locke pointed out.
They had tried it many times before.
This time, Saine himself has arrived.
Saine zoomed in on one area, pointing to the wreckage left behind by the Mechanical Legion.
"Could we keep Saine's side things for now?"
Locke looked at the shattered starry sky. Between several massive crystals, there was still an extremely unstable Golden Source, constantly drawing upon the surrounding forces.
It was also one of the reasons that the Engineering Platform was overturned earlier. Saine wanted to start there, but Locke needed to suppress the backlash from deeper within first.
"Yes," Locke replied.
Immediately, a group of the Destruction Legion that were preparing to charge forward nearby changed their original direction. The eyes of the Hundred-Eyed Chaos Beast, which had already lit up, also slowly turned to the other side.
Kerrygan then personally made way for the Zerg Swarm, allowing the Engineering Platform under Saine's command to pass first.
The Mechanical Being began to salvage the still-usable devices from the shattered battlefield.
When a platform with only half of its main structure was lifted, several thin golden threads were still firmly attached to its bottom. The robotic arm tried twice but failed to separate it completely.
Saine stopped the subsequent forced dismantling.
He instructed the legion to directly install new equipment along the existing remaining structure.
Soon, the platform, which should have been transported away as wreckage, began to glow faintly again. The golden threads below were still vibrating, but now they were providing complete feedback, appearing before Saine.
The subsequent troop movements were not concentrated in just one direction.
After the Crystal Tide Wrath Beast left its original location, it first caused a large area of Destruction Crystals to grow forward together.
Those Origin Veins that were already connected to it began to extend towards new battlegrounds.
The phantoms of Dark Obelisk rose one after another in the distance.
Wherever the Empty-Faced Burning Monarch passed, a large number of unsubdued Destruction Creature, as if stimulated by some intense force, rushed madly toward it.
The dark, undulating patterns spread outwards, and the first group of figures to approach quickly disappeared from the starry sky.
The Hundred-Eyed Chaos Beast did not approach that battlefield.
Its surrounding, ever-opening, rule-based pupils were fixed on the repeatedly flashing golden node on the other side. After several beams of destructive gaze swept across, the horde of beasts that had just surged out from there was instantly pierced through.
These Level-12 individuals are far more adaptable to the local rules than ordinary legions. Locke no longer needs to personally rush to suppress every disturbance as he did at the beginning.
Further back, the massive body of the Erosion Abyss Mother Nest was slowly moving.
From the constantly opening and closing holes on the surface of the nest shell, large swathes of black and red primal energy gushed forth. Kerrygan's Zerg Swarm moved forward, gradually filling the empty areas that had just been cleared.
The Mechanical Engineering Fleet then began to deploy in batches along the path left by the Level-12 Destruction Creature.
The first Engineering Platform to actually enter the contested area did not immediately anchor. Beneath the platform, a faint, dark golden light continued to shift its position.
On several previous occasions, the mechanized units responsible for this area had encountered sudden counterattacks in similar locations.
Saine raised the arm of the God of Machines, and a silver-gray array appeared in his palm. The radiance paused briefly.
The next moment, Locke's Destruction Will bypassed the giant mechanical hand and pressed directly into the depths of the source below.
A sharp tremor came from the starry sky.
The previously calm surrounding area suddenly erupted with numerous thin streams of gold, converging towards the two individuals.
But this time, before they could form a real wave, they were stopped by the Black-Red Flames that spread out from the outside.
The Engineering Platform then descended.
One by one, the pre-prepared Mechanical Components began to unfold around the site, while Transport Ship quickly delivered more materials.
Locke nodded slightly to Saine, while the Black Lotus beneath him continued forward.
Instead of letting the God of Machines leave, Saine poured more of his Rule Power into the newly stabilized area.
Several other Engineering Legion in the vicinity also sent back messages at this time, indicating that they could continue their advance.
The first batch of nodes have already begun to be truly taken over by them.
However, compared to the vast connections that still lead to the depths of Destruction Time-Space, the current gains are far from over.
Locke held the God Slaying Spear horizontally at his side, his gaze passing over the surging dark golden light ahead.
A pressure far heavier than any previous external counterattack was rising from there.
The Destruction Black Wing behind the God of Machines slowly unfolded.
