A Battle of Laws
Savien retreated faster than the insectoid beasts beside him.
The Law Domain of Nohe, a level four Dark Being, had already spread to the outskirts of the city. Instead of continuing his attempt to rush towards the transport platform, he led the nearby Destruction Angel, who were still able to fly, and retreated from the darkness.
Some insectoid beasts that couldn't change direction in time crashed straight in.
Before the destructive energy in their mouthparts could be released, they lost their light in the deepening darkness. Their hard shells, under pressure, cracked along their joints.
Edson's transport station finally got a moment's respite and respectfully looked upwards.
"Get the wounded out of here first!" Nohe's voice came from above.
The Jieyin beam on the outside of the transport ship lit up again.
But this restored space did not last long.
At the same time, the Level 4 Destruction Angel Visal had arrived before Nohe.
The spear in his hand wasn't very long, but its tip held a constantly shrinking ball of Flames of Destruction.
As you get closer, a crack is burned through the surrounding darkness.
Nohe raised his palm and pushed the ball of flame to one side.
The lower half of the city block then disappeared into an even denser shadow.
"This is not your world, you despicable invaders!" Nohe said coldly.
Visal did not answer.
The spear thrust forward, and the darkness that had just closed in began to crack open near the spear tip.
He knew, of course, that this was not his Homeworld.
Since entering the Graythorn World, this Destruction Angel has been under the suppression of the local laws. But the Transport Base is already in sight, and his lower-level legions are waiting for the next attack.
The Black-Red Flames suddenly spread outwards!
Nohe's Law Domain was not burned through in one go.
Two forces intertwined outside the city: one part of darkness constantly suppressed the flames, while the other part lost its original effect as it continued to burn.
Above the city, the Aura of Destruction that had been suppressed by Nohe began to re-emerge.
Several first-level garrison soldiers hiding in the rear suddenly fell down without being directly attacked.
Edson immediately led his men back into the transport platform.
This level of warfare is beyond what they can participate in simply by picking up a sword.
Nohe pressed his palm down, attempting to temporarily keep Visal out of the city.
He didn't withdraw all of his Law Domain from himself; otherwise, the creatures that had just boarded the ship would have been immediately exposed.
Visal, however, had his eye on the position he had to maintain.
The spear bypassed the densest darkness and pierced the section of law-protected barrier connecting the transport platform.
Nohe immediately moved to block the spearhead head-on.
The Flames of Destruction left large burn marks on his shoulder, and a dark, sharp blade of law pierced through the root of Visal's wing.
Neither of the two Level-4 lifeform retreated.
The transport ship was still taking off, Nohe continued to shrink Surface World territory along the direction it had taken off.
Visal then pushed forward a bit more, and the lower-level legions that had been waiting behind him then crossed the area that they had previously been unable to enter.
On the south side of Black Rock City, the Destruction Firelight that had already merged into one now shone even brighter.
On the other side of the Graythorn World, Serman, a level 5 Dark Array Master, is reconnecting several Energy-Supply Tower.
He did not personally go to help Nohe.
The battles within the city are just one of countless war zones in this dimension. What truly determines whether the entire world can continue to Jieyin legions is the large Transport Base located in the northern mountains.
The defenses there have been repeatedly attacked.
The law patterns on Serman's hand spread outwards from the base of the tower. The protective light barrier, which was originally cracking, finally partially closed up again.
A recently withdrawn local army, under the cover of the light barrier, entered the mountains.
But then, the fifth-level Destruction Angel, Eluk, fell from the other side.
The burning blade struck the outer wall of the tower.
Serman immediately withdrew the power of the laws that had not yet been deployed, blocking the attack.
Although the tower was saved, the power supply connection that had just been restored was lost again.
Deep within the mountains, a massive beastly figure had already crossed the first layer of protection.
Red-Horned Destruction Beast Tagron!
This level-six Destruction Creature is the main force behind this attack on the Transport Base!
The local leader, Vigos, did not retreat.
As the leader of this Medium Plane world, and also possessing Level-6 Life Level, he led several level four and five beings to meet the enemy head-on.
The gray-black laws spread out from his longsword, merging with the defensive structures between the mountains that had not yet collapsed.
Tagron's red horn crashed into it, immediately eliciting a series of explosions.
The giant beast's forelimbs slammed down heavily onto the mountain.
Several narrow cracks rose from the rock strata, shattering several auxiliary facilities along the way. The lower-level defenders hiding inside didn't even have a chance to break out.
Vigos slashed at Tagron's neck with his sword.
The Dark Laws sliced into the carapace, slicing off large chunks of dark red flesh.
The Destruction Behemoth roared in pain, but instead of tending to its wounds, it continued to press the red horn forward.
The protective barrier in the center of the mountain range then caved inwards.
Vigos immediately changed position and plunged his longsword into the ground in front of him.
A deeper darkness surged forth from within the mountains.
Half of Tagron's beastly body was pressed into the mountain by this force.
Many of the Destruction Creature under its command that charged forward also fell amidst the Darkness Edge.
This is, after all, a territory that Vigos has cultivated for many years.
But behind Tagron, there are even more legions.
The Destruction Zerg Swarm poured in through the breach it had created, Destruction Angel, who had originally had to attack along the mountain path, also flew into the mountains from different directions.
Serman had just forced Eluk back when he noticed that another Energy-Supply Tower had stopped.
The garrison's plea for help only reached half of its target.
The new devastating attack then bypassed the already cracked outer defenses and landed in the center of the Transport Base.
A Transport Platform filled with wounded soldiers was pushed aside by Vigos from the side.
The spot where the platform had been standing was instantly engulfed by the Flames of Destruction spewed out by Tagron.
As a result, a scorch mark that kept expanding was left on the outside of Vigos's palm.
Instead of treating his wounds, he sent an order to Serman to mobilize the remaining usable spare towers.
Serman had just changed the law connection when Eluk's battle blade fell once more.
A dark curtain of light exploded outwards from between the two, and a section of the top of the tower was directly sheared off.
The backup power, which had not yet been fully replenished, suddenly shot into the sky from the broken opening.
Vigos had no choice but to divert one of his swords to force the leaking energy towards the empty mountain beside him.
A series of booming sounds rang out, and several nearby mountain peaks were cracked from the center by this impact.
Goods that had not yet been moved from the position slid down with the continuously collapsing ground.
Part of it consists of wealth accumulated over many years in several mining areas.
Vigos did not arrange for anyone else to move the goods.
The Homeland Being that were still being loaded into the cargo hold were driven directly to the last two Transport Platform.
Vigos's longsword struck Tagron once again.
The wound on the giant beast's shoulder deepened, but its body suddenly pulled out as the laws of darkness slightly contracted.
It did not attempt to strike the most solid frontal target.
Chijiao changed direction and drove through an exposed Energy-Supply Tower.
A large amount of Dark Energy suddenly surged outward from the tower.
Using this change, Eluk suppressed the power of the law that Serman was trying to replenish.
On the other side, Vigos immediately felt the strength of the position beneath his feet weakening.
He looked up at the platform that was still teleporting the legions.
Two teams haven't finished yet.
"Stop the outer positions, the rest of you retreat from the rear!" Vigos shouted.
Without hesitation, Serman immediately abandoned the tower he was trying to maintain.
Several Level-4 lifeform followed suit and withdrew, and the protective laws that had supported each other also went out one after another at this moment.
Tagron pounced again.
Vigos blocked its red horn, but his arm bent backward for a moment upon impact.
He did not continue to hold out.
The Darkness Long Sword slashed to the side, cutting a section of the mountain wall in two, temporarily blocking the swarming Zerg Swarm.
Vigos used this opportunity to retreat to the last platform that still allowed him to teleport.
Tagron shook off the rocks that had hit his back and could now see the Transport Facilities deep within the position.
It didn't destroy the area as well.
The orders from the rear instructed it to preserve the remaining platforms.
Eluk led the Destruction Angel to hold the flank, and more legions then crossed the mountains and took over the position, which was not yet completely paralyzed.
Several Transport Ship bearing the insignia of the Destruction Divine Kingdom then fell from the sky.
The war in the Graythorn World is just a small microcosm of the countless wars that rage across the billions of planes in the Destruction Sword Time-Space Plane Worlds.
As a massive Destruction Legion poured into this cosmic dimension, the distant Source-Devouring Jieyin Zone also underwent new changes.
Having read the records sent back by the Spirit-Seizing Bone Emperor, the World-Realm Emperor Monarch had no intention of personally going to that battlefield.
Ebony's condition is indeed very bad!
However, the World-Realm Emperor Monarch had no intention of fighting the Destruction Demon God on his behalf, mainly because he himself did not have a strong Desire for battle and killing.
After sending the new battle situation back to the Source-Devouring Time-Space, the Source-Devouring Progenitor quickly made other arrangements.
The World-Devouring Emperor Monarch and the Rift-Splitting Emperor Monarch are preparing to move out.
The former will head to the most intense Central Battlefield, while the latter will be responsible for continuing to expand the Origin Channel between the two sides' spacetime.
Legions have already entered, and Level-12 Ancient Emperors is guarding the Jieyin point. Clearly, the two Emperor Monarch do not need to build a passage from scratch this time to cross the realm.
The bright yellow light quickly intensified in that starry sky.
The Space Ring of the Rift-Splitting Emperor Monarch first unfolded deep within the passage.
The Outer Node, which had been constantly fluctuating due to the war, were subsequently re-established.
The Rule True Body of the World-Devouring Emperor Monarch, representing the rules, is already approaching from the other side!
