"Rota, we're heading east."
As he gave the order, Linsey activated his Face Sculpting Skill and changed himself into an entirely new body and appearance.
He had dealt with the Abyss School more than once.
If he did not want the enemy to discover him easily, he certainly could not show up casually with his original appearance at a time like this.
Rota followed closely behind.
The Mechanical Maid carefully noted Linsey's new appearance before asking about the details implied by his command:
"Commander, we can only head east. Did you discover something?"
Linsey's attention remained on the map.
As he refined the information from his scouting, he replied:
"My Map Skill detected quite a few hostile markers by the lake. Let me think—by tomorrow, we need to figure out what these people are doing, and why they aren't disturbing the locals."
"One day to gather intelligence." Rota remained cautious. "Commander, statistically speaking, this is not an absolute certainty."
"..."
"Don't worry. I'm confident."
Linsey smiled faintly.
He guarded against being too deeply influenced by his skills and losing himself, but that did not mean he could not tell what mattered most.
If I can't handle these targets within a day, I'll activate the Walkthrough Master Skill immediately.
Even if the Abyss School has hidden themselves deeply, I'm confident I can expose their trail!
Linsey and Rota moved quickly.
Half an hour later, they emerged from Blue River Canyon and turned east along the river.
The air around Lake Anindaluhut was thick with moisture.
Yet after leaving the canyon, the ground beneath their feet was not the damp soil of a rainforest or swamp, but firm, dark brown earth.
Residents had also cleared farmland among the trees here.
What grew there was even the Golden Oat Linsey knew best!
"Woof!"
