Thinking this, Linsey immediately changed direction and headed toward Lake Anindaluhut beside him.
But after only a few steps, Linsey heard the sound of splashing water.
Specks of light also appeared in his field of vision.
The Villagers of Blue Lake Town were fishing at night.
That was how things were in the City of Law World. Since they lived off this lake water and the forest, they naturally had to make full use of every resource they could obtain.
It was just somewhat different from how ordinary humans fished.
Including the cat-eared Demi-humans Linsey had seen during the day, along with several other types of Demi-humans, there were many residents fishing here, yet hardly any humans were in sight.
"All Demi-humans?"
Linsey looked curiously into the distance.
Along the lakeshore, these fishermen formed teams of three or four.
One person was responsible for steering the boat and holding the lantern, drawing in schools of fish and placing the prey caught by their companions into wooden cages aboard the boat.
The remaining Demi-humans jumped straight into the water.
With their primitive yet efficient speed, they caught the fish in the lake water.
Without involving source essence, Demi-humans always possessed certain extraordinary physical talents. Naturally, they were more efficient than ordinary humans at this kind of primitive labor.
Then Linsey noticed a detail.
Fishing with rods or spearing fish definitely could not compare to grabbing wildly underwater.
But what about fishing nets?
Linsey had seen people using fishing nets in the Courtyard in the Forest, and he had even used such tools himself.
Yet after arriving in the City of Law, he had not seen a single one.
"..."
"Perhaps it's because of the Awakened?"
"The stronger the Awakened in a place, the harder it is for certain tools to appear."
