Reflection of the World
"Gentlemen, you must be from the outside world!"
"We have many new guests here today. It's a rare opportunity, you must come to the Horner Theater and enjoy our actors' wonderful performance!"
The scene before Linsey and Ala Song had just stabilized.
A warm greeting greeted us.
This is a beautiful young woman around twenty years old. She has a wooden box hanging from her waist. The top of the box is open, and you can see that it contains tickets for theater performances.
A ticket seller?
Realizing the other person's identity, Linsey looked around.
The stars and moon hang high in this world, and the city is brightly lit. Although it is exactly the same as the real-world City of a Thousand Sails, it lacks the colorful light brought about by the disorder of the Essence.
Even after Linsey looked towards the city, the Giant Stone Statue, a thousand meters tall, still stood there.
This place is a complete reflection of the Real World.
The stark differences are only evident in the aspects of people and events.
"Sir, sir!"
"Come over here and check out our theater's performance..."
Boom! The saleswoman was still enthusiastically recommending the product.
But at that moment, a loud bang echoed from the distant city, as if a bomb had been detonated there.
Immediately, a powerful burst of Essence erupted.
Large sections of the city collapsed, and seawater gushed out from them.
—Awakened beings are fighting there?
Linsey immediately became alert and prepared to take action, leading Ala Song away from the danger zone.
"Ala Song, we..."
Linsey had barely opened her mouth when the image of the shattered city and the churning sea came to an abrupt halt.
Time and space in that area seemed to be frozen.
Everything followed the broken trajectory back to its original state, as if time had reversed, returning to its initial state. Only the volatile Essence still testified to the explosion.
The girl selling tickets spoke up:
"Don't worry, both of you, our world is very safe."
"Every environment is anchored to your world; this is a world that celebrates performance and art!"
The girl winked playfully. "How about it, want to come and check out our theater?"
Ala Song looked at Linsey: "Linsey?"
Linsey kept in mind the advice she had received before coming.
Everything in this world is difficult to distinguish between truth and falsehood, making it extremely dangerous.
Their first task was to gather information and break free from this state of Ignorance: "Miss, we have just entered this world from the outside and do not yet know what currency is used here."
"Currency?" The ticket-selling girl turned her head and smiled. "To buy a ticket, you only need to contribute your inspiration. We don't use outside currency here."
"..."
Using the inspiration artists draw from when creating their works as currency for buying and selling?
Linsey and Ala Song exchanged a glance.
What would be the consequences if this thing were actually sold? They weren't sure of the specifics, but their intuition told them it wasn't an acceptable deal.
"Miss, we're planning to explore the city a bit more first."
"Let's go see the performance another time when we have the chance."
Linsey immediately declined.
The ticket-selling girl didn't bother with him and turned to walk away.
It was immediately apparent that other residents of the city were buying tickets from her.
Is this how the world works?
Linsey memorized this scene before heading towards the location she remembered:
"Anyway, let's go to the Fimbul Theater first."
"Even if Wala Wala isn't there, we can still find her movements."
Ala Song was still reeling from what he had just experienced:
"Even just buying tickets consumes one's inspiration."
"Oh--"
"I've always heard that the worlds artists create are completely different from reality. Seeing it for myself today, it's truly unique and hard to describe."
As they moved forward, they kept an eye on their surroundings.
After walking two streets, Linsey discovered something very unusual.
"Ala Song, have you noticed?"
"There are no street shops selling food here."
In the real- City of a Thousand Sails Blue District.
Theaters and performance venues occupy almost all of the building facilities.
Therefore, in order to meet people's daily needs, there are many roadside stalls here, selling all kinds of snacks and foods.
In this Hallucination Dream world, the corresponding stalls are still set up on the street.
However, the stall owners were replaced by performers, some of whom performed close-up magic, while others did simple singing and painting demonstrations. There was nothing related to food at all.
Ala Song said in a strange tone, "Don't tell me that people in this world don't need to eat."
Linsey shook her head and said, "The rules of this world are entirely set by the Creator, so maybe that's just how it is?"
During their discussion, the two soon arrived at the Fimbul Theater.
This place is just as magnificent as the Real World, and its specific uses are also the same as in the real world.
Upon entering the hall, Linsey immediately noticed someone.
—Lady Madam Salah.
When he first came to the theater with Wala Wala, the other party showed great disgust and even made sarcastic remarks.
Was this guy also dragged into the Hallucination Dream?
"Madam Salah, you..."
Linsey stepped forward to greet him and inquire about the situation.
To his surprise, the woman in front of him was very enthusiastic and greeted him warmly, saying, "Gentlemen, you must have come from the outside world, right?"
"Our theater welcomes all kinds of people to enjoy our performances. If you have any shows you'd like to see, just let me know, and I'll take you there right away!"
"..."
A chill ran down Linsey's spine.
He carefully examined Madam Salah in front of him and found that she seemed to be younger than the one in real life.
There are two possibilities.
First, this Hallucination Dream world also reflects real-life figures.
Secondly, Salah is the real Salah. But after being accidentally dragged into this world, she encountered something and became the local native she is now.
Linsey immediately activated her Scouting Skill.
[Human female - An ordinary human female who does not possess Essence, and is obese.]
Linsey finally breathed a sigh of relief.
The current situation is the less bad of the bad news.
The real Salah of the Fimbul Theater is an awakened one, but the person before him does not possess the Essence.
Unless this Hallucination Dream world can also strip people of their identity as awakened beings.
Otherwise, this Salah is most likely a locally created character.
"We're here to do our own things, so we won't trouble you with your hospitality."
Linsey said goodbye to Salah and led Ala Song down to the basement level.
The Hallucination Dream was completely consistent with reality.
Linsey knew this route well. As soon as he arrived at the corresponding location on the basement level, he saw the room whose door he had pried open.
"Wala Wala, will it be here..."
Linsey was a little uneasy. He opened the Map Skill...
"Dad, are you here to save Mom?"
Suddenly, a child who looked about five or six years old rushed over from the side, grabbed Linsey's leg, and shouted, "Come with me quickly, Mommy is in danger!"
