Law of Chaos
"Linsey, you and Wala Wala have a child?"
Ala Song was horrified.
Linsey rolled her eyes at the one-armed painter and immediately pulled the child off her lap.
He said in a serious tone:
"Child, you've mistaken me for someone else. I'm not your father."
"And let alone having children, I've only ever been in a relationship once in my life, let alone gotten married..."
Linsey was about to explain when the child suddenly interrupted, "Dad, my mom is Wala Wala!"
"The chaotic Essence has affected all the Hallucination Dream. The order and rules of these worlds are gradually being disrupted, influencing each other, and time itself is no longer normal! Dad, I really am your child, please go and save Mom!"
"..."
This child's series of statements was truly shocking.
Linsey was also somewhat bewildered for a moment.
But before he could react, the child seemed to sense something terrifying was about to happen and began to speak faster, "Right at the port in the Blue District!"
"My mother was being chased by bad guys, and she was very young at the time!"
"Dad, you have to save Mom!"
As soon as she finished speaking, the child's figure suddenly vanished from Linsey's sight, leaving no trace whatsoever, whether through skills or normal senses.
It was as if the child had never existed.
"..."
Linsey and Ala Song stood rooted to the spot, gazing at each other.
This happened so suddenly, and it left no opportunity for investigation or verification.
It really leaves one at a loss for what to do.
"..."
Anyway, I'll go inside and take a look first.
Linsey's mind went blank.
He decided not to dwell on information whose veracity was uncertain.
Instead, they followed the original plan and went into Wala Wala's room to find out what was going on.
The map shows that the room is empty, and in reality, the room is also empty.
But the good news is...
After examining the area, Linsey sensed a familiar aura of Essence.
After Wala Wala successfully advanced, a powerful Emotional Source Material left its mark here, and the girl's feelings were thus revealed before our eyes.
Happiness—Excitement—Doubt—
The changes in emotions perfectly correspond to Wala Wala's experience after successfully advancing to the next level.
The joy of successfully advancing—the excitement of thinking about celebrating with Linsey —is followed by the confusion of being dragged into Hallucination Dream.
The emotions emanating from the Essence were so obvious that even Ala Song, who came in later, clearly noticed. "It seems that Wala Wala was indeed dragged into this place."
Linsey nodded slightly.
He suppressed his chaotic emotions and began to examine the footprints on the ground.
The shades of the footprints correspond to the time they were left, which can give a rough idea of the other person's actions.
About an hour after successfully advancing to the next level.
Wala Wala then decided to leave the room and walk out of the theater.
"I can see her footprints, let's follow them."
Linsey informed Ala Song, and the two followed the footprints away.
But just as they arrived at the lobby of the Fimbul Theater and were about to leave, Madam Salah rushed out again.
At this moment, Madam Salah's face was covered with wrinkles, and her hair was withered and deathly white, like a dying pine tree.
The moment she saw Linsey and Ala Song, she shouted:
"You, Linsey, right? Please, save me!"
Bang! In the blink of an eye, Madam Salah, now aged beyond recognition, collapsed to the ground.
Linsey wouldn't hesitate at this point.
He rushed forward to check on Salah's condition.
Her physical age was rapidly aging, as if something was accelerating the passage of time within her! Linsey frowned:
"Time... lifespan... what can stop this?"
Madam Salah looked at Linsey with her cloudy, lifeless eyes:
"Inspiration, inspiration is gone."
"It will consume your soul and lifespan..."
Madam Salah died instantly.
Then her bones and clothes vanished into the air, erasing all traces of her existence.
Meanwhile, others in the theater lobby began pointing and whispering, "Look, he ran out of inspiration and died."
"Look at what you're saying. If a person has no creative inspiration, is there any point in living? It's more sensible to return to the world and embrace a new life."
"..."
The dangers of this world.
It's a danger directly brought about by the World Law! Linsey doesn't have any good feelings towards this woman who once mocked Wala Wala.
But seeing the other person die and disappear in such despair before my eyes.
He left a message before he died.
Rest in peace...
Following the teachings of the School of Death, Linsey performed a simple memorial service for Madam Salah.
He turned to his companion. "Ala Song, you heard that too, didn't you?"
"In this world, we cannot participate in any viewing of programs or any consumption related to art."
Seeing this, Ala Song didn't know what to say, and just nodded.
The two then bid farewell to the Fimbul Theater and followed the footprints left by Wala Wala southward.
The chase lasted for half an hour.
Until the girl's footprints became clearer.
Linsey estimated that she would catch up with the other person in about an hour or two.
The footprints were on a wooden sampan, then suddenly disappeared.
The two stopped there. Ala Song looked around and said to Linsey in a nervous tone, "Linsey, the dock."
Linsey nodded slightly.
Just as Ala Song said.
They followed the trail of the Wala Wala footprints and ended up at the Blue District's dock.
This is the result.
The guidance given by the person who claimed to be Linsey's child earlier perfectly matches the one he gave!
"..."
"Do you think you can believe what that kid said before?"
Ala Song asked Linsey a question.
The latter was carefully examining the footprints left on the sampan.
As attention focused, detailed written descriptions began to emerge.
[The footprints of a human woman—the footprints suddenly disappear here. There was no leap with increased force, no preparation for starting a run; it was as if the person had suddenly vanished.]
"Wala Wala didn't jump into the sea, nor did she turn around and leave."
"It just suddenly disappeared right here."
Ala Song tried asking:
Is it possible that what the child said is true?
"The spacetime here is completely chaotic, and as a result, Wala Wala has fallen into another time segment?"
Linsey frowned and murmured, "Interfering with time..."
Entering the world of the Hallucination Dream to find someone is inherently a difficult task.
Adding to this the chaotic spacetime and the rules and interference of other Hallucination Dream makes the difficulties unimaginable! "Thief, don't run!"
"Sir, please stop this guy!"
"That little bitch stole our stuff, we can't let her get away!"
Suddenly, shouts rang out from afar.
Linsey looked up.
On the dock, several fierce-looking men were chasing after them.
A little girl dressed in rags, wearing a black cloak, was running desperately in front of them.
